They were great. The staff were attentive to the needs of the patient. It is a busy place and there were four patients in each room on the second floor. So immediate care was not always there but no one was forgotten as I ve seen in other care homes. At first the business seemed frenetic but as you watched the staff you saw a great deal of order become clear. The rooms were very clean as were the patients. You were Not met with that smell I ve found in other care centers. the staff were professional and yet very approachable from Michael Brogan the administrator to Dr. Takenaka a Geriatrician and her Co-Worker , Dr M. all the way down to Shirley a nurses aide. The food was better than at Queens hospital. They worked with Hospice smoothly and provided excellent service. The hallways were busy and they really need another elevator because it can become a bottleneck at busy times, especially at mealtimes. Oh, parking is tight and requires double parking. Overall, I would Highly recommend it. Thank you!

My mother was at facility in January and I have had two other family members at Avalon. The therapy is excellent and has helped my family members. The staff is caring and work hard. They make you feel like Ohana from first day of admit. Thank you Avalon for all your help and support to family.

Avalon is a place to put your loved one. It s caring place and one big ohana.

where are you people? You're suppose to be open 24 hours per day. I have been trying for 2hours to get someone on the phone since I had a message that my brother, a client, condition had changed. I didn't get the message until this morning @4:30am and tried to call. It is now 7:55an and my phone call still has not been answered! What kind of establishment are you running? This is an emergency and I can't get ahold of anyone!!! I'm reporting this to the proper authorities!

Avalon is a first class care home for anyone who needs to be placed in a nursing home cause they take great care of there patients and the food they serve for breakfast lunch and dinner was great the cooks was very good the snacks was great too I would recommend Avalon to anyone that needs a very good nursing home cause you are in very good hands great nurses and great cna too great directors to everyone there is one big family or ohana Aloha and I thank all of you for taking very good care of me yours truly appreciated Alroy Choy Foo Mahalo everyone

I was lucky to come here. I love this place and people are so friendly. All employees are kind and helpful. I just love it here.

I love everyone that works here and everybody here are very nice. They are all good workers. Everything is good, this is like a home to me.

I called today to schedule a visit to my aunty for Thursday afternoon. The lady (Aura) who answered transferred me to the front desk. I waited for more than ten minutes and no one answered my call. I called again and the same lady answered my call, this time, I asked her if she can schedule a visit for me. She said yes and took my information and time and day of the appointment. I asked if this is confirmed and she said the front desk will call me today before the end of the day, before 5pm. Well, it s 5:10pm, and I didn t get a call. My first time calling them today and this is what I experienced. I hope this is not a prelude to something more worse. Avalon staff, please call me to confirm my appointment. I have to take off to visit a love one and this should not be a tooth pulling experience.
04/27 update. I finally got a call to confirm my visitation appointment. Cecilia was nice enough to explain to me how busy they were and she planned to call me but ran out of time. Thank you for confirming my visitation time.
