Beautiful building in a great location. Range of interesting events available over the year. As part of Vivid 2017 had some interesting designs projected onto the face of the building.

Aspire to the school, next to the beautiful rose garden.

Have never been inside but from the outside it's a very interesting and beautiful building. Particularly love the crenellations.

I was fortunate enough to listen to the Chinese New Year's Eve fifteenth concert - celebrating the Year of the Pig and feeling good about the internal environment of the Conservatory. I had the honor to listen to the Chinese New Year concert on the fifteenth day of the first month -- celebrating the year of the pig -- and felt good about the internal environment of music college.

Best library in Sydeny. A spectacular band and one of the best music schools in the world. Amazing! Has the Botanical Gardens for it s playground..

Best place to learn everything about music. Right inside the middle of the town and the royal botanic garden. The building is very nice looking.

From Royal Botanic Garden see it, looks like castle.

A building with such rich history of its existence. Affectionately known by some as "The Con".

Have completed many wonderful courses through open academy. Also attended Piano.Teacher festivals back.in the good old days, as well as Musicianship and piano theory courses. Truly marvellous experiences. Im honoured to be fortunate to have attended here.

Beautiful architecture, a corner of greenery right next to the buildings. I could attend a rehearsal of an orchestra, a good time for music lovers.

It is hard to review this as this place has many functions.

Last I went it was to see Opera.
Let's just say after trying really hard...
I still don't like opera.

But in general this place shines.

The artistic temperament is very high, very elegant colleges and universities. The free concert at noon is good. thumbs up.

Great venue for the international piano competition

Wonderfully large place with beautiful architecture.

This is a venue, a university and a high school and offers a variety of live music experiences and insight into Sydney Heritage. Originally built as the Stables for the first Governor of Australia, the building is rich with history and culture.

Very clean and nice library. The concerts on the weekend are usually free or for a small fee. Students enliven the place and there is a decent cafe next to the entrance. Also of interest is the sandstone with cabinets showcasing ye-olde-Sydney.

Beautiful location and a great building managing to combine the old with new in a lovely way.

"The Con". For a building that had gone through different lives, as Governor Macquarie's first Sydney residence to its demise with only the Stables left. It's a tribute to Colonial Gothic Picturesque style. The original Conservatorium High School commenced in 1919. It's an easy stroll to the Royal Botanic Garden, Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House. There's street parking or public transportation nearby. Great place to check for their seasonal programs when students do public performance. An atmosphere of sheer delight and excitement and elegance all roll into one memorable experience.

Free or gold-coin donation lunch-time concerts of excellent quality from young career musicians - sometimes $10 evening concerts - classical, early music or jazz - Google it and enjoy!

[update] I just walked out of my first lunchtime concert of contemporary music - a 4 piece rock and roll band with amps and drum kit - okay 2 of each sex but the sound was Awful! Way too loud (100db can damage hearing) in a voice-suitable echo chamber, all mid range moaning, just muddy sound, and lazy I don t really care singing - even instrumental balance was bad - as a musician it offended me on many levels. We walked out after the second tune - the third sounded more punchy and syncopated - but too late for us - we were already out the door.

Given its proximity to the Sydney Opera House and the good environment created by its abundance of various instrumental practice rooms, this institution has appeal to both music students and amateur music lovers alike.

Great college to study music, needs a little big catch up with the world musical society

Parking is hard to find so to get here the fastest way is to take a train to Circular Quay 6min walk away.

Such a beautiful Building! Great events happening frequently.

A must-visit for music lover, tourists and locals! There's always something happening here weekly. If you're not sure classical music is your thing, at least visit the free lunch break concert featuring different performers every week.

The top higher education music institution in Sydney. It is home to thousands of performances each year in some of the best musical venues in Sydney. A pleasure to visit and listen to.
