The Audubon Park (not to be confused with the Audubon Zoo (officially and on maps: Audubon Nature Institute)) is spectacular. Great for kids, adults, those young at heart....anybody who loves nature and all of the serenity nature brings.

As the photos show, there are trees, bushes, birds, reptiles of all kinds; as well as great nooks to look for lizards (as my kids were doing) and running, playing, walking, skipping, riding bikes....you name it! The best part is that it is so close to the Audubon Zoo as well as to the Magazine Street corridor which has tons of cool shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. You can definitely make a day of it!

All kinds of fish can be seen but it is so cool to catch a glimpse of that living fossil the Alligator Gar.
