My boys have been seeing Dr. Gonzalez since birth, that was ten years ago. Yes, be prepared to wait way past your appointment time but he is worth it. He takes the time to examine my boys thoroughly and explains and answers all questions my husband and I may have on their care. We have moved further away but still bring our kids to see him that s how much trust and appreciation we have in Dr. G.
Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable, I have been bringing my kids here for years and love it.
I like Dr. Gonzalez. He is a wonderful compassionate doctor who takes time and consideration with his patients. All three of my children have been coming to him since they were newborns. My family has been going here for over 14yrs.. They are awesome. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. They are like family.
If you don't agree with everything they say they send you a certified letter informing you your children are no longer patients of theirs and threatened to call Child services because I didn't want to stick to a vaccination schedule, I wanted to delay a few shots for only a few months.
That's only after you make it through the hour long wait before being seen
DO NOT RECOMMEND! Spent 2 hours debating MY childs care with a Nurse Practitioner. Went in for vomit ended up talking about vaginas. she wanted a full body CT, Ovary MRI and pelvic exam. Asked me to leave the room, thats a no from me. Dont want to vaccinate my child with HPV. This office wouldnt let it go. Was told..her exact words were... "we arent a good fit for you". I said we agree to disagree...still pushed us out the door because we were not on the "same page". Good to know OBAMA funds are hard at work!
I m surprised by some of these negative comments. I ve been taking my two children since they were newborns...15 years so far. We love Dr. Gonzalez and fully trust in his care! The entire staff is amazing. The front desk lady Dot is the best. She is very caring and knows everyone by name. If you are searching for a pediatrician I would highly recommend this practice!
Dr. Gonzalez is an amazing doctor... I have attended his office with both of my children since they were born. The are 8 and 6 now, and I continue to trust Dr. Gonzalez. To those that complain about waiting too long, it is because he do take care to answer your questions and makes sure you understand. Other doctors just don't want to even get close to their patients, and don't want to answer too much questions, those are like fast food places... in and out in 20 minutes, but are you healthier? I don't want fast food for my children, I want to make sure they are healthy, so take your time Dr Gonzalez... and thank you very much!!!!
If you value your time, and you prefer a doctor office who does as well, you will not schedule an appointment here. We will not be returning.
The front desk is rude. The last appointment possible to schedule is for 4pm but they claim to stay open until 6:30 and deny to see you if you get there at 4:03. Worst place ever! Don't waste your time. They also have you wait 30 minutes to an hour for your appointment.
I spoke to Dr. Cosgrove through teladoc app about my sons nasty cough. She was very good at explaining things to me and didnt jump stright to antibiotic.
I went to this office for about three years. I strongly suggest you not to come here. You will wait for 2-3 hours with an appointment. When I had a sinus infection and a virus, Donna, the nurse practitioner, barely looked into my throat and suggested that I take over the counter medicine. Later I went to the walk in clinic and I was put on antibiotics and promethazine to TREAT my condition. My sister also has had bad experiences. The first antibiotic that they ever put her on was cipro. Cipro has HORRIBLE side effects. She experienced night terrors, insomnia, tremors, and hallucinations. I don t understand why they thought it was okay to start a 15 year old on such a potent antibiotic. They are not thorough and they will not return your calls right away. I had to constantly call to remind them to send my prescription to CVS. My MONTHLY birth control prescription. Save your time and go somewhere else. I am not a parent. I am sibling and I went to this office (Atlantic coast pediatrics on Merritt island) before I turned 18.

Been coming here for over 3 years. Since the beginning with our first child, we never saw an exam room until any where between 30-75 minutes after our appointment time. When we finally did get back, if we were lucky if it was another 20 minutes before we saw a doctor. Meanwhile, walk-ins are getting in and coming out. I struck up conversation with two other parents in the waiting room who have had similar experience between all of their children everytime they visit this office.
The last appointment, I left an honest review on their Facebook page (right around and hour and a half after our appointment time). A week later we receive a letter dated the day left the review saying we were basically fired as a patient.
This place couldn't confirm our children were up to date on their shots, they mis-entered insurance information countless times over the course of a few years, causing us more wasted time and headaches. They have a hard time getting and keeping up with our records, I could go on.
Simply put, the office is run horribly, appointments are useless. Maybe they'll hire more competent staff in the future so parents won't have to deal with the immense incompetence that plagues that office.
Don't bother making appointments, just walk-in, you'll beat everyone.
I'm amazed at all the terrible reviews. I've been seeing Donna since I was a child and now my children see her as well. Like someone else had said, they are not like a factory run office, they take time to talk to you, ask you questions, answer your questions without feeling rushed. The nurses and front desk staff have all been kind through the years. I live where I live simply because I don't want to have any other doctor see my children. I've been to other doctors due to circumstance and every time I have felt rushed out and couldn't get a question in. So please, ignore those other bad reviews.
This is one of the best pediatric clinics we ve ever been to, the staff is caring knowledgeable and always strives to take care of our children. The front office staff have always been on point with our insurance and doing a good job with whatever request we have asked of them. We will continue to take our children there and we will always recommend Atlanta Coast pediatrics to our friends.
Very rude..practice there office manager was very rude and also her an another employee which suppose to be the head office manager were talking negatively aboutme and my 3 year old son i will be taking my kids medical elsewhere i understand now why they have a 3 star but the only good people at this. This place is as close to meeting Angels as I've ever been. The office staff, Miss Dot, the doctor's and the nurses were so compassionate and sensitive to our situation. I will be taking all my children here from now on. Thank you all so much for being true hero's in the medical field. You can tell that these people got into medicine for all the right reasons!
One of the best pediatric practices without a doubt. The front office staff is attentive and amazing. Dr. Gonzalez is a gifted pediatrician with a wealth of knowledge and spends as much time necessary with you and provides outstanding care.
Horrible experience. I've been in the office for 5 years with my son and now with my 3 month old daughter, after changing physician 3 times without consulting me, the last I had a bad experience. I went in the office with my son who had a fever for 3 days, checked his throat and ears and said he had no infection and it was a virus. The next day, Saturday I took my son in the emergency room because he complained of ear pain and the doctor said that he had infection in the ear and throat, he was medicated with amoxicillin antibiotic for 10 days, I returned to the office by follow up and the physician informs me that my son is allergic to penecillin, for 5 years I did not know that my son was allergic, when I asked who had tested him, the physician said she was going to check it, when I asked again she took out in his chart that he was allergy without at least another test to make sure he was not allergic to penecillin. My son was coughing for 3 months, I went in the office a million times and the physician never requested an X Ray on my son and allergy test, she always said it was a new virus, for 3 months coughing and the cough never went away and when I decided to take him in the emergency room because he was coughing all night and vomiting because of the cough, the physician blamed me for exposing my son to X-ray radiation. My 3 month old daughter had some problems, such as RSV, allergy to formula , trouble breathing and the physician has never had an allergy test on her, to find out if she has asthma and other allergies, until today she breathes badly and I'm tired of going to the office every week for nothing. And lastly, the front desk is rude and I am waiting for 3 months for a refund of a visit. I do not recommend this clinic.
Just completing my review above, I want to make it clear that when my son was born and I chose the office, I chose Dr Gonzales who was an excellent doctor with my son on the first visits and I do not know the reason they took him from us and put a nurse over the years.
I also want to make it clear that we feel very uncomfortable with Julie in the last visits that she did not like when we took our doubts about the health of our children. I felt uncomfortable also every time I took my kids who got sick in the last few months and the front desk making jokes that I should have a spot with my name in the parking lot. And I was tired of every time we do not agree with the office they threaten to kick us out.
Unfortunately the office only cares about insurance things and not the health of the patient. I was very disappointed with what I have been through in the last few months, for these reasons I have changed my children's doctor.
I'm writing this review because I think the office should make changes and put better professionals. And I think Julie should improve her practice because she gets lost in some issues.
I find the fact that ACP is rated so low on here asinine. Yes, you wait awhile for your appointment, but it's worth the wait. I never feel rushed or like I can't ask absolutely any question I have. I've not had an issue with the front desk; they've always been polite and accommodating. Dr.Gonzalez is one hell of a doctor and you'd be hard pressed to find a better one. He's thorough and knowledgeable and when he tells me something about my kids, I trust him. No questions asked. He seems to truly love his job and it shows. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my kids like I trust Dr.Gonzalez and I would recommend him to anyone. I'd choose ACP time and time again, to be honest.
They have 0 regard for their patients time. Be prepared to wait 9 out of 10 times for 45-50 atleast.
Horrible!!! Office manager rude and the front office rude!! Its ashame how unprofessional they are in that office. Just being on the phone made me think , should I even let my kids go here? If they are this rude on the phone, they are worse in person.
I love this office. I am always greeted with kindness upon arriving. When I get into exam room, Dr. Cosgrove is always prompt and goes through each of my questions and asks me if there is anything else she can answer. My kids love going to the office and it always ends with them getting their favorite treat the popsicles. Best Pediatrics in the area
Not worth the wait. Not only does a typical visit take about 30-40 minutes waiting in the over crowded, insanely small waiting room you, then once you get back to their insanely small exam rooms you get to wait another 30-60 minutes waiting on the doctor to see you for 5-10 minutes. Not to mention since the place is so crowded and full of kids that want to play around but have no room to do so the place ends up being a mad house. Even if the kids had room to use the toys they never have batteries in them so it would be pointless. They always have an excuse about being behind or short staffed and after being there for 3-4 visits we just walked out and are still looking for another doctor's office.
DO NOT USE!!! Waited for over an hour - yes WITH an appointment- using my lunch break at work at 2:45pm only to wait another 45 minutes in the exam room. When I got my kid redressed and took him to the front desk to let them know we had to leave since I was supposed to be back at work and it was 4:30pm, I was screamed at and told I was a horrible parent and I was being unreasonable. I was treated so badly another parent followed me out into the parking lot to apologize for what he had seen and to see if I was OK. The next day I received a letter from the office that I thought was going to be an apology or a return of my copay but it turns out is was a letter kicking us out of the practice- for leaving after an hour and 45 minutes and NOT being seen. This place is a joke and has been for years. Don't go here.
The big old lady that works the desk thinks she s a doctor and discusses others clients info to however she sees fit I am appalled by her words and actions and blatant discrimination for her
My child has been coming here since birth and it is an amazing place. I have recently seen the new pediatrician, Dr. Knecht, and he was great! Highly recommend him.
