I placed an order of fish and chips, large cheese and pepperoni buffalo wings 2 wienner evrything. I paid 48.00 plus 6.oo tip.

I was charged 1.15 for using my debit card. I was told food would be 45 mins to a hour it took 2 hours the food was garbage when it came the fish 11.45 was burnt and tasted like old oil that hasn't been changed in a while. Winner were dry pizza was gross. Fronzen pizza taste better they should be ashamed of them self sell thst garbage i took pictures of the food and going to post them and will never ever order from them again. They keep is up they will not be around long.

Always fresh and delicious. The kids love the desserts and dippin dots ice cream. Definitely a go to spot when in Greenville

Went here for the first time for take out. I got a Greek salad with grilled chicken. It was amazing finally a garden salad that has mixed greens and not that yucky flavorless iceberg lettuce. The salad was very big I could get two meals out of it. The chicken was nicely seasoned and had good chunks of feta cheese. Def. Worth every penny. The staff was very friendly which is an added bonus. I'll def. Be back anytime I'm on the area. Thanks Athens for making such a great meal.

I cannot say enough good things about Athens!! Great staff, amazing food. Highly recommend. (Sometimes phone is busy if you call just try again its worth it!!)

The last 2 orders I made were late which I understand because of the issues at the moment, however they need to set the proper expectations. The last order was missing a salad and my club wasn t toasted and they used the heel of the bread. I normally don t complain but it seems the bigger the order the worse the service.

Called at 8:10pm and said I couldn't get anything from the grill/ flattop. Why bother being open!

Athens Pizza used to be so great when it was run by the parents of the children who run it now I found the quality of food to be very poor

All I wanted was one hot weiner. My boyfriend wanted two. now keep in mind we have been going to Athens since I don't know 1972 it's always been delicious but not anymore I don't know the weiner tasted like it was old cold it was absolutely disgusting.

I m never harsh on reviews, especially about locally owned, but paying customers should know. You re wasting your money buying from here. I have given this place several chances, each time the pizza was disgusting. The cheese tasted old, I couldn t even eat it. The fries were burnt and had a strong oil smell. The staff was nice but that s the last time I order from there.

First time visiting. Prices seemed reasonable. Staff was friendly. Dining area seemed a little neglected--sticky floors, water-stained art, and dusty ceiling fans did not help ambiance--but perhaps that was because it's just take out right now and they are busy and distracted. We got the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap (warm) and the Meatball Parm (toasted). The chicken wrap was very good. I would definitely get it again. A little messy but very tasty. Husband says it was good, could have used some more sauce. Used gyro meat instead of meatballs. Not bad, just a surprise. He said the bread was nice.

So i order a large pizza with bacon and pepperoni...says a 2-way large is 11.95...so how does the bill come to 19$$????? Pizzs good but i will NEEEVVEERR order from here again. Cant even use a register properly. Drf dont go here

Ordered two pasta dishes over the phone for pick up. The person that took the order didn't know what kind of pasta they even have... then told me that they thought Ziti is the only choice. Fine... Ziti it is... So i ordered Ziti with meatballs and Ziti with chicken parm... total came out to just above $20 I asked if they take credit cards... the person on the phone says yes. When i get there, the sign on the door says "CASH ONLY, ATM INSIDE"... great, just what i wanted with a $20 for two basic pasta dishes $3 in bank fees. So i went and found an ATM for my bank got the money and picked up the food. When i came back home i found out that $20 buys me 2 pieces of Banquet brand chicken... (i know that crap when i see it as i eat it every day when i was in college with no money... you can't even really qualify it as chicken) and a few pieces of ziti sprinkled under the chicken. The meatballs were not much better than that. I'm rather sure they're frozen cheap crap as well. In total, if you want this kind of food, just get a frozen Banquet brand meal from supermarket for $0.99 instead of paying this rip off place close to $10/plate. I cannot speak of their Pizza as i've not tried it. However, it's unlikely that i'll go here again due to my experience so far, so this is my final grade for Athens

I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered there. And I've eaten there a lot! Great food and service!

This place used to be my pickup-fer-home-eatin' pizza place for a period of around 9 or 10 years. (I still go there occasionally but prefer to sample other local pizza offerings in close proximity to my domicile) On busy weekends this spot sports a distinct Greek atmosphere, and good-natured argumentative boisterousness aside, the service is excellent and prompt. The pizzas are fairly good, though some versions with pepperoni tend to be a little soggy in the middle of the pie. Their greek is fantastic, loaded with feta, kalamata olives, and other veggies shoveled onto a medium-to-thin crispy dough, finished with a hard-on-the-outside, chewy-on-the-inside, crust that provides a good handhold when demolishing it from the opposite end. Located off of Rte.44 (Putnam Pike) on Austin Ave., directly after the Pick 'n Pay on the corner in what's known to natives as Greenville.

Was one of my absolute favorite places to get my dinner until, halfway through my meal, I found a dead fly in my fries tonight. Totally and completely shocked and disgusted. You just lost a loyal (multiple times a week) customer. See photos.

This place has gone downhill. The kid in the back was playing with a dirty football and then put it down to handle the food while the cook in the back ate his own food and drank a beer while cooking my food. The hot wieners were precooked and reheated on the grill. They were awful. This place use to be good, but it is in the toilet now. It is dirty and hasn t been updated in forever. Don t spend your e hard earned money here

I've been going here for years and generally always enjoy the good food. Their grinders are quite good, although sometimes a little heavy handed on the oil. They make it easy to custom order all their grinders and pizza, which is awesome for people with allergies. Four stars because the food is a little pricey, but still delicious.

Conveniently located in the heart of Smithfield. Friendly service and good food. I had the hot weiners all the way and a Dr Pepper. A little different from what I'm used to, but they hit the spot just the same. I've heard their chicken parmesan is excellent. I'll try that next time.

Great food, hot, fresh, and consistent. The same family has owned Athens since 1988, and they worked at Athens before buying it....the small kids playing around the outside picnic table in 1988 are now the owners who prep and cook your food, which has not changed in 30 years - always excellent. They have been in business so long even with Domino's, Papa Gino's, Tony's opening up all around them - offering $8 large pizzas, coupons, TV ads, lunch deals, rewards points, etc....because their food taste better no matter who is there to cook it. And selling great tasting food (my Lg meatball and extra cheese pizza last week was heavenly) all the time, not just when the owner's around, makes for repeat customers. I like Domino's and buy their pizza often, and I love Ronzios, but nobody makes pizza like Athens, and the Athens Special sandwich and tuna sub with American cheese and tomatoes are incredible. This is exactly the type of food I missed when living in LA for five years - home cooked restaurant quality food at affordable prices....And by the way - small, family owned businesses can't afford to pay the VISA and MasterCard gouge-fees like chain stores do - they don't sell a thousand pizzas a day in their area. The trend now is that more small businesses have to pass these fees on to the customers using the card service instead of raising everyone's prices.....So pay the buck or get your cash ahead of time...no big deal.

Been here many times in the past, but this pizza has gone WAY downhill. My Hawaiian pizza had sliced ham, shaved ham, and cubed of ham 3/4 inch thick. No quality control. There is a 4.00 additional charge for bacon. The dough has no salt. They use frozen "meatballs" that suck! 37.00 for a hawaiian and a 4 topping, which is great pricing if you are selling first grilled pizzas with fresh toppings. Instead, my pizza was utterly washed out from mushroom "juice" because they used canned mushrooms. Word of advice, have some respect and use fresh mushrooms guys. I obviously will not be going back.

Amazing calzones (although a bit different, since they put the cheese on the outside. I got extra cheese added for the inside.) Tasty toppings. Great sauce. Superb sandwiches. Really good jalapeno poppers, and you can choose either cream cheese or cheddar. Staff is great and friendly.

Had pizza there today. We were very disappointed. The pizza is not the same. They dough was not the same thin crisp dough and the dough had no taste. The sauce was horrible barely any mozzarella cheese on it. I haven't been there in about a year and was a completely different kind of pizza today. I will not be back.

Love the place I love the way Gloria and George treat you like family. I have been going here for years and i wouldn't go anywhere else. this place is more than worth the money and worth the trip for a family time meal or just want to stop by and say hi to the family....

First time here. Ordered the Spinach Pie with three toppings. Expertly cooked. Ingredients were FRESH, really good size portion. Don't give out five stars that often lately.

Ordered food from here every now and then with no issues. Today ordered an Italian grinder And it was drenched in oil. Very disappointed. There was so much oil I couldn t even eat the sandwich. I would have liked some sandwich with my oil please.

Just ordered chicken tenders, fries & 2 pizzas from Athens. The delivery was right on time, the food was hot & delicious, exactly the way I ordered it & my delivery person was very pleasant. I ve tried a few other pizza shops in my area & they never get my order right. I m super pleased & will definitely be ordering again! Thank you, Athens!

Food used to be good and probably still is. But there is now a $1. charge if you wish to pay by credit or debit card no matter how much you spend. And there is also a $10. minimum purchase if you pay by card.

In this day and age, you have to accept cards as cash or you won't be in business long. Charging the customer $1. on their order is not the way to go.

was very disappointed in this pjace ! walked in after work tonight with mask on and stood there for ten minutes and nobody said one thing to me and just ignored me from the second i walked in and waited for a girl at the register or the two males to say hi or even to sir ill be with you shortly? but nope nothing ! so i left and will never be back to that place ever and will never recommend the place to anybody !

Solid local pizza enjoyed the pie and the gyro. Would visit it again for sure. They had the world cup on and had a decent atmosphere.
