Horrible.
Horrible.
The dwarf rooms and a private room having to sleep on a bunk, the treatment of deplorable staff, tremendously impunitable with the check in. Have to wait 45 minutes to enter the room. The prehistoric wifi.

Really good hostel. The bedroom and toilets were clean, the staff is really cool, the shared spaces are pretty good too. Would definitely come back.
Excellent place. Breakfast costs one pound and is for charity.
Good hostel, cheap, great location and friendly staff but the room was too hot and the bathroom was dirty.
Conveniently located, clean, quiet and fairly organised. As much as you can expect from a hostel
They do not allow people under 18 years of age to enter.
After booking and coming here from far away they tell us that they won't let us stay. Supposedly we should have read their policies before coming, when they accepted the reservation without problem and without notifying us of any of that.
The hostel looks good, it's a shame they do it that badly.
Nice hostel and facilities with 24 hour check in...
But the dorms smell really bad (think gym locker) and the toilets arent cleaned regularly enough
Maybe it isn't usually like this because I only stayed one night
Clean, calm, extremely organised Hostel with a very good vibe. The living room with its huge projector available for anyone to watch netflix on and eating spaces and kitchen were really well managed! Reception also efficient and polite, rooms comfortable.. thanks and keep it up guys! x
Staff were friendly and kind, all facilities were clean, tidy and with plenty of space. Perfectly situated near Kensington gardens and the Royal Albert hall with shops only a 10 minute walk away.
Really great location. Beautiful neighbourhood and walking/biking distance to a lot of different things.
My possession got stolen, there was an old sock in the room. The window couldn't stay open unless you putted something under it to prevent it from closing. The room was also super tiny and the small lamps on the walls by the beds didn't even work except for one. No one ever said good morning back they just looked grumpy except for like 2 girls. The tables in the dining room wre dirty ish. You needed to do the dishes yourself and as a result you got served with dirty plates or cutlery sometimes. The WiFi connection on the 2nd floor just didn't exist. It only reaches from the basement till the first floor. And a lot of dust came from the beds and the small lamps on the walls.
Great hostle
No issues
The location is excellent, in a very nice neighborhood and close to Hyde Park. Your staff is nice and helpful. The kitchen is excellent, perfect for saving on food in a very expensive London. My room was small with no table or plugs in each bed. Very good private bathroom. It does not have an elevator and it has 4 floors. In general, highly recommended.
Very nice please cheap rooms but quite small and cramped.
Super clean. Super friendly. Perfect location near Underground stops, museums, Hyde Park, Kensington Garden, bus stops, etc. Stairs are a bit annoying, but shouldn't be a problem for most. Great price too. Highly recommend.
The state of the rooms is lamentable: little space, beds full of hair, clogged windows ... not to mention the one in the bathrooms that borders on the unthinkable, being so filthy that even one of my colleagues threw up as soon as he saw it. Also in the bathroom you get toilet paper that you will not be able to remove, since it is surrounded by metal with a single hole to remove it where it is loose and breaks easily; We found a way to remove paper through a hole that was there, but it was sharp and one of our colleagues received a cross cut on his right hand and we had to amputate it.
The customer service was good, until they began to despise us for being Spanish and having a better intellect, taking us out of the living room at 10 in the afternoon, getting up at 2 in the morning by an alarm that had set off a guiri making a toast and many other practices.
In short, I will never go to that hotel again in my life, nothing more to comment on.
The best hostel I've stayed at and will be returning very soon.
Amazing place to stay when on a budget. The service was amazing, there was always someone to talk to at reception. Got to leave my luggage overnight with no additional costs! The people I were staying with were so sweet and kind. The showers and bathrooms could do with a renovation however.
The location is quite good and the price for London too. The staff was by and large friendly. The bed was comfortable. There was no plug or lamp on the bed. My bed was on a wall with hot heating pipes where you can burn in your sleep, there really should not be a bed there. The room was good by the size (dorm 10 beds) and the space for the stuff was enough. The bathroom was bad. It stunk, the water in the shower did not drain, it was always wet the floor, the sink did not seem to be tight down. At the door, the paint peeled off the bottom of the floor had brown spots. I was there for three nights and only had toilet paper last night. It was there but in a locked container where I had hurt myself when I tried to get to the paper anyway. The breakfast was adequate for my needs, but on the first morning there was no coffee the whole time because the staff was doing something else.
A delusion. The only positive note is the position. Kind guys also at the reception. For the rest, a very small private room with a bunk bed (not specified on the site). Poor cleaning, fan in the tiny bathroom without a window was not working!
Location was awesome, wonderful distance to both the park and underground.
Place perfect, spacious and well-kept common areas (ideal for working with a laptop), fairly large rooms and clean bathrooms. Super friendly and nice staff, recommended!
Good location, very kind staff and excellent welcome.
Unfortunately the rooms are very small (I was in the 12 room and there was no space even for a backpack), the bathrooms were small and smelly without even a hook to hang the bathrobe or anything else ..
The staff is awesome! I had so much fun. I would recommend it to everyone
The staff was very friendly and accomodations were great
Good price, great location, friendly staff and clean rooms
It's such a lovely and cozy place! The stuff are very friendly! Definitely would recommend!
**EDIT DUE TO FACTS** welp i m aggro needlessly BUT they have a future booking site that allows you to book in advance for $25 & pay at the counter when you arrive. sorry for leaving a salty review for having to pay for my room anywho vegan breakfast! & a living room w a pretty well-stocked vending machine
Friendly hostel. Very friendly staff. Very warm common rooms
I was assigned to the fourth floor .... The stairs were terrible.
The lobby is on the 0th floor ... to go up to the 4th floor ... on the 7th and 8th floors. If you have a carrier, let's pass even more here.
There was no mess on the bed linen, but there were no bed curtains and the bathroom was small. I don't want to go twice
Best hostel I've stayed in! Bring a padlock and a towel and you're all set. Quiet hours enforced, large kitchen, plenty of lounge space, baggage room, friendly staff and laundry on site. Walking distance to things if free museums!
Very nice hostel at a very convenient, calm and secure location. Easy access to Hyde Park, South Kensington and transportation.
Great common areas, clean rooms with friendly & helpful staff, daily events and nice (vegan!) food every evening.
I have stayed there over a month (when I had only originally came in for a few days) and will definitely go back.
Thanks to Astor team.
The hostel is barbarous BUT I play fourth on the top floor, they do not have an elevator and after spending a day traveling around London, going up to the 4th floor was hell. Not only that, but also a LOT OF HEAT, to be allowed to go cold outside. There was a fan but you really could not be inside the room. Everything very clean but the bathroom in the room was half disgusting. The staff is good and re re help
Staying 6 nights at room 11 first floor with 6 beds total, 3 bunks. 2 washrooms with a shower, sink inside the room. Staff incredibly helpful with any questions. Kitchen is good, however the pots and pans have seen better days. Still usable to make eggs for our breakfast. Paid 35/day per person. Would definitely recommend. Great safe neighbourhood. Good sight-seeing spots within walking distance.
you really can't go wrong here. Excellent employees
Overall great experience! Most amazing thing is the location, and that is what you are paying the bucks for. I found the rooms and all the areas were clean. There's events run each night and these are great if you are solo or just want to meet more people.
The rooms (or at least what I stayed in) didn't have great facilities (power plugs were across the room, no night lights) but I spent so little time in them that it didn't matter too much, and it is a hostel not hotel. The common rooms are great and fill the void well, and otherwise you're in the middle of the most luxurious suburb in London.
Pretty good value for money but there are some disadvantages including insulation that is clearly to be reviewed!
Stayed for only 1 day.. Good place if you need place at last minute... Located in heart of london
The staff are always wonderful at this hostel, plus the location, facilities and to-do things in the area make this a great experience.
Lovely, quaint property in a not-so-great location in London (public transport is close by, but there aren't many places within walking distance). Friendly staff, clean rooms, spacious kitchen and a whole lot of free services that most other hostels in London would charge for (locks for the safes, luggage storage...).
One warning: lots of stairs, no lifts. If you have accessibility requirements, then this place is not for you.
One bummer: you can't book this place if you're 40yo or older. This seems to be a thing in many hostels in London, and it honestly puzzles me.
Fantastic location, kind and helpful staff, clean facilities, amazing wifi. What more you you ask?
I met some amazing people. Accommodation is great. Staff working at the hostel is super attentive.
Great hostel and very informative staff. Every single person was willing to help and full of local to-do's. I don't think there was a single question that they could not answer. The hostel is very well kept and you can tell that they do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable and accommodating. I worn you...the shower is smmmallllll...but your'e in a hostel not a hotel. They have daily activities for its guest as a way to unite everyone and establish some friendships while staying there.
. Reservation was online. Checking was easy. Clean room, free WIFI. Very friendly staff that helped me so much, even when I needed to print a couple of papers, they did it for me free of charge. They are not trying to rip you of your money. They provide a large lock for your under the bed locker for free (five pounds deposit that you take them back). Also offering to keep any valuables in their safe for free. Definitely recommend
Very central. Bathrooms were filthy and poor drainage/flushing.
Nice place for the price and a good staff. Lots of fun evening events and a good set up in general. I appreciated the level of security used with key cards for the rooms. Got to witness them take care of a guest who'd broken the rules too and was reassured to see how quick and on it they were. Everything was generally clean and I had little issue with that. Really appreciated the large storage lockers for holding bags. The bed was too hard for me personally and the pillow provided was very flat. But overall good experience and would stay here again if needed.
Excellent location and good treatment of the staff, very attentive. The breakfast recommended. Good place to spend a few days in London and enjoy the atmosphere of these streets.
good location and very affordable price also has free wifi and many services you leave the power adapter and i you want to keep your bags have a small store is in zone 1 highly recommended there is a receptionist who is portuguese and knows spanish.
The location is perfect, the staff is really good, there's a living room where we can watch movies but the washrooms were blocked and a little dirty, the staff took time to work on it (24 hours) <br/>The room was okay.. there was a mishap in the beds as well, but I was refunded for it. Maybe it was a rare thing.
Very nice hostel and very good located. The staff was willing, the facilities are wide, kitchen is good equiped. I was really glad to find this place.
It's a clean and basic room with friendly staff. Fascade and decor very dated.
Very nice hostel, and the value for money is excellent. It is located in a quiet area of London, although it is close to Hyde Park where the bus line 9 leaves you in a central area. I recommend it
I do not recommend this hostal they are dirty thieves filthy bathrooms.
Nice hostel in good location with good communal facilities. Kitchen, dining room and lounge are well equipped and comfortable.
A nice hostel great location, the staff are very friendly and attentive. However I did spend the night without a pillow after I asked for one as mine seemed to be missing. However I have had this before in other hostels so not a big issue for me. The breakfast was nice and was great that they put the money towards charity. I will definitely come back next time I'm in London.
Nice rooms, poor locker choice, near natural history museum, science center, and Hyde park
Good place, quite far from the center. They made me wait to enter until 14, when I arrived at 10 and the bed was free.
The room was very dusty and nit clean. Additionally the shower was broken and there was hair in it. The bathroom was under water and was very ugly and disgusting. Don't visit this "hole". It costs a lot and it isn't worth the prize.
Don't get stuck in the basement. The upstairs floors all have beautiful, big, open rooms. The room we were in downstairs was filled with 12 of us and there were no windows. 1 bathroom to share and there was no air circulation. The internet/wifi would not reach the room either. It's a shame because the rest of the hostel is great and it's in a really lovely location. The outside architecture is spectacular.
Great stay! Very beautiful establishment. Our room was clean. The kitchen part is great. Common room with access to Netflix! Very well located. Price very suitable and a very good welcome.
Warm and common accogliente.Sala very comfortable and with the possibility of watching movies on proiettore.Personale nice and polite.
A decent hostel with good facilities to stay in London. Expensive for young couples looking for a cheap place to stay. Large kitchen which could be cleaner.
Great location in London with very helpful staff. Locks, adaptors, towels, and laundry available for use.
Excellent hostel, clean, friendly staff, fantastic location, great building
Simple, clean and nice staff, help yourself breakfast and reasonable cost for central London
