WE HAD FILET MIGNOTS THAT WERE DRY AND OVER COOKED.
THE SERVICE WAS VERY BAD, WE ASKED FOR EXTRA DRESSING FOR MY SALAD AND DID NOT GET IT. WE ASKED FOR UNSWEETENED TEA, WE RECEIVED SWEETENED AND WHEN WE TOLD THE SERVER, IT WAS NEVER FIXED.
THE BREAD & BUTTER WAS GREAT AND THE CRAB CAKE WAS GOOD AS WELL.
OVERALL, THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH FOR THE QUALITY

I give Aspen an A+ for the setting and ambience but a D for the quality of food. Aspen has the exact same menu for the past several years. I came in tonight and ordered the brisket and was shocked to see it was more like a small piece of roast beef and they ODDLY served it with warm macaroni salad and a large dry onion ring??!! They continue to serve the same hard bread. The menu lacks variety and portion sizes continue to get smaller. Not to mention the hostess was VERY hesitant to put us in the nicer dining area ; she wanted to seat us near the bar. I recommend Capers just a few miles off Ernest Barrett...

The food and my glass of wine were great, however, when me and my 2 friends sat down at the bar, we were never acknowledged. After at least 5 or 10 minutes of watching the bar staff walk around and talk with others at the bar, I had to ask for a menu. I found that unacceptable.

Excellent meal for a birthday celebration. The food was superb and the waiter did not miss a beat! He was very personable to each one at our table and made my son's twentieth birthday dinner really special! Bringing out the Tarimasui complete with candle topped off the night! Definitely would recommend!

Our Party has dined at Aspen's East Cobb for Mothe...

Our Party has dined at Aspen's East Cobb for Mother's Day for the last four (4) years and we've been quite pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of the entire staff; and the food was always delicious.
My son in law made a brunch reservation for 10:15A, Mother's Day 2014. The reservation was made for four (4) adults: him, his wife, his Mother (from out of State) and me; however, this year, we had a new baby. The reservationist never asked him if we needed any type of accommodations. We arrived a few minutes early & had to wait (no problem). When the hostess led our Party to our table, it was a table for THREE vice FOUR. She said that there were no tables for four and she couldn't accommodate a high chair for the infant. I couldn't believe this! This was truly a big disappointment for such a special occasion.
Needless to say, we will no longer frequent Aspen's again!!!

Racist hostesses.

Racist hostesses.

When my wife and I arrived at the restaurant we were told that there were several open tables and there was no wait. Then the head hostess came up and said "No, that table won't work put them in the back."

We were walked passed 6 empty tables and set in the very back in a dark section of the restaurant behind a wall. The only other black people were sitting next to us behind the wall. It was a little obvious but I gave it a few minutes. I went to the restroom and saw even more open tables in the front of the restaurant.

Then the next group of black people entered and were seated in the same section as we were sitting.

A well lit table was open just in front of the dark gloomy section but was passed by as they sat them. Just a minute later, a white couple was seated at that table.

I could have said something about it. I could have asked to be moved. But, I refuse to give money to a restaurant that obviously has issues with sitting black people in the front of their establishment.

I didn't even get my appetizer. I canceled the order and left. There are way better restaurants in the same plaza that don't treat people like their skin color is an issue.

Manager should be fired! This place should literally own West Cobb but speed of the boss is speed of the team. Quality of food is solid and the team tries hard but too many process mistakes. Explained numerous shortcomings with manager but he had the dimmest care light I ve ever seen.

Four of my family members had dinner there tonight. We had steaks and salad and wine. One person had the meatloaf. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed it. The service was very good. I saw the reviews on here tonight, but decided to try it anyway. I'm glad we did, but I really wanted to post our good review.

The Lobster Bisque was soooo good. I live in TN and plan on making a trip back to GA in the near future, just to eat their Lobster Bisque. As for other peoples comments on the service in the restaurant. My waiter was excellent. I'm sure, like other restaurants, there are probably a few bad ones.
I wouldn't let that keep you from going to this Gem of a restaurant.

We went here for our company Christmas party. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and was very nice. We were served Lobster Bisque as an appetizer and that was very delicious! I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the filet mignon. The prime rib was cooked perfectly however by the time I got my food it was cold. My wifes filet was a little better but not by much. If it weren't for this we would have throughly enjoyed our meals. We had Cheesecake and mousse for dessert. It was good but very very rich.

We sampled almost everything. I usually do not like restaurant waffles. Their waffles are delicious. Everything is made from scratch. The breakfast meat was great quality and not greasy. The fried chicken was delicious. I could go on. Lyndsie was a great Server.

We had a party of 10 for brunch and the food was terrible. Bathroom had no towels, unkept and messy. Our party room was cold, but our server was super nice. At least they got one thing right. I would avoid this restaurant.

I had a very negative experience at Aspens West Cobb this Saturday evening. When me and my date arrived, there were 2 empty booths and four empty tables in the main dining area. When I asked for a booth I was told they were reserved. Our waiter, escorted us to the back dining room were we enjoyed our meal alone with no atmosphere. When we asked the waiter why we were not seated in the fire lit main room they said that it was for their frequent customers and people with reservations. When we left an hour later the booths and tables were still empty. It was a Georgia game night. We were well dressed and spent a lot on our dinner. Aspens needs to rethink there policies. We probably won't be back even though we usually dine there often. Thumbs down!

Normally my family enjoys this restaurant. We take our customers here several times a month. However, a week before Easter I made reservations for Mothers Day at 12:45, for 19 people. When I called to confirm today, they tell me they can't do 19 people? It's the size of our family and we all go there a dozen times a year. Now it's 2 weeks before Mothers Day and I have no place to take 19 people to brunch on Mothers Day. On the positive side, at least I called to confirm and won't show up with 19 hungry people on Mothers Day. Very poor way to treat a customer.

This past year it seems that the quality of food has gone down. I have not been happy with anything the last three visits. It was mediocre at best!
Service was good and the mixed drinks were excellent.
I hesitate to go back.

We were very disappointed in our last trip to Aspens which was only the second time we have dined there in years. My husband got the meatloaf and said it was terrible. He wasn't able to finish it. I got the fettuccini with chicken and the sauce was way too rich and thick. I wasn't able to finish mine either. Service was just o.k. We will take this off of our list of places for special occasions. Way too expensive to not want to finish your meal.

Food is good. But try to order something to go twice...40 min before closing on a weekday and no answer. Tried to order something to go at 8:30pm and was refused service. Not sure why sitting down at a restaurant vs. Picking up makes a difference...their making money.

We used to eat here often but it s steadily gone down hill.

First clue was 730pm on a Saturday night and 3/4 if the tables were empty. Service was slow from just getting a table to waitress to appetizers and food. They changed the delicious homemade bread to some jiffy cornbread mix. $27 for 5 very small scallops and maybe a 1/4 cup of grits.

That was our last try.

We go here weekly, tonight was the worst visit we have had. The waitress was extremely slow. She would ask if we needed anything, but was already walking away while we answered. The drinks from the bar were watered down. For a $10 drink it took 4 sips for the glass to be empty due to all of the ice, and 20 minutes to get another one. I ordered a salad with a side of grilled shrimp and the shrimp was not only cold, it was not grilled. They took some frozen shrimp and stuck it in the microwave. Our dinner for our family of four was $204. I left zero tip and that is the first time I have never left a tip. We have noticed a decrease in service here over the past month. I ordered a to-go order for my daughter at home. A bowl of lobster bisque. We got home and the bowl was only half empty. There was a plastic container with one piece of lobster..... yes, just one .

This place used to have it going on. The best part of the restaurant is the scenery... not the food or the service. I've been eating here for years and watched the quality of the food and service gradually diminish. Very disappointing! This Aspens is located in a very nice area but they don't seem to have it all together, like before.

Very disappointed in my most recent experience at Aspen's. My family and I (party of 10) had Easter brunch at Aspen's this year. The food was adequate, not exceptional however my disappointment stems more from the service than the food. When I pay a premium price for a brunch buffet I expect premium service... Actually, I expect premium service no matter were I spend my money because my clients always receive the highest level of service from me and my employees. Nevertheless, our server seemed irritated that we asked to split the check among the party and overall seemed annoyed by our requests.. This is a shame because I have had quite a few great experiences at Aspen's up until this visit. Work on the attitude. My money will be spent elsewhere.

3/5/2017 - We went for Sunday brunch. It was ok. A bit over priced for what they offer. The food didn't seem hot enough. Most of the food was bland. The French toast was good and the made to order omelette was ok to. Not much else to say other then it's not a place I'd want to go back to. Nothing special.

Food was amazing, and service was super friendly and top notch! Steaks and sides were perfection. We had the oysters and they were super fresh and delicious. The wine recommended was some of best we have had. And I have to mention the desserts... OMG. Heaven. This was our first time here and we will definatey be back! Pricey, but worth every penny.

Even though I had a couple of issues with my steak being cooked correctly and my baked potato being undercooked the meal was delicious. I loved the creamed corn with bacon and the creme brulee dessert. The ambiance is wonderful with the roaring fire and the staff is very professional and very attentive. I did get comped for the issues with my food. And I will definitely go back again as this was not my first time going there.

I will give an honest review. The service was decent and the waiter was really professional. He knew most of the special but did have to look in his tip book on occasion to tell us about the special. My two biggest complaints were the food and cost of food. The food, at best, was subpar. I ordered a ribeye, that was $34, and it was completely fatty with almost no meat and extremely bland. The course was a la carte so you have to purchase any side items which typical range from $6-$10 for each item. I ordered asparagus and was given six pieces for around $8 and my baked potato was around $6. Needless to say I was quite unsatisfied spending as much as I did when I could get the same quality food half the price at a chain steakhouse. Honestly, you are paying for the fine dining look and quiet atmosphere which doesn't matter to me since I go to places for the taste of the food. I don't think I would go to Aspens again or recommend it to anyone I know.

Acted as if they were doing us a favor by seating us in an empty restaurant without a reservation for 3 people. Bread was hard, not fresh. Small selection in food and only ok service. Go to Romano's in same parking lot. Ask for Kevin for great service and recommendations. I would not go to Aspens ever again.

I do not like that the restaurant closes for 2 hours. We can't plan to go because when we have time they are closed. I was looking for a place to take my wife for mothers day. Well they will be closing by the time i get there. Do not want to go as they are closing and it already sounds like the service is horrible.

We went for my birthday dinner and got there around 5:15 PM right after they reopened for the dinner crowd. We ordered the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection, but the reheated, left over mashed potatoes that tasted like they were beginning to turn, ruined the otherwise pleasant experience. We had the waiter take them away with a promise to tell the kitchen. We received no feedback from an on duty manager or anyone else, and were still charged for the mashed potatoes. Hoping they get a new kitchen manager soon, their food used to be so good.

My first time eating at Aspen's was tonight with my wife for our Anniversary. We'd heard mixed reviews about the West Cobb location. The atmosphere and decor is nice. The service was fine - no complaints. The food was MOSTLY really good, with the only exception being the calamari appetizer (it was just so-so and tasted like it could have been store bought and not fresh or made-in-house). The steaks (filets), toppings (crab oscar and their bacon sweet glaze) were really good and cooked nicely. The sides (mashed potatoes, creamed corn, brussel sprouts) were great. It's price, atmosphere, and food quality is somewhere between Longhorn's and Ruth's Chris. If you're wanting a better experience than Longhorn's but wanting to keep it under the Ruth's Chris price range, this is probably a solid option. My wife and I enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

Food was bad. Service was good. They need to get a new cook! We won't be returning. The skirt steak was tough so I sent it back and ordered a burger medium. Thinking that had to be easy to cook. They mgr brought it over....it was rare. I told him, I'm sorry but I can't eat it like that. He looked mad, took the burger and left. No apologies. My husband had finished his meatloaf 30 min. before. So we asked for the check, paid for my husband's food and my salad, left and stopped at Chick filet. The only reason I gave 1 star is the waiter was good. Even my husband's meatloaf was not that good. The gravy on it tasted like gravy in a package you mix with water.

We typically go to this restaurant on special occasions or for brunch! It is a bit expensive, but worth the money! The food is always fresh and delicious! I love the decor, because it is so unique! The service is also very good every time you are there! The best time to go is for brunch buffet, because their variety of food is amazing and the atmosphere is great!

This was our first time at aspens and let me just say we were disappointed. The server made his intro last for 5 mins which culminated in him standing with both his elbows on the table a finger in my menu and his face inches from my drink. I ordered the pork chop medium and it came out with a pink center. Like a dangerously undercooked pink center. When I brought it to the servers attention he assured me that my raw pork was supposed to be that way but he would have them cook it up. They brought me back the same pork this time medium but the piece I cut off to check if it was cooked properly was thrown away leaving me roughly 2/3 what I ordered. The manager was too busy chatting with the servers to even come to our table. At that price point I would consider this a zero star experience. Maybe someone should fire that complacent manager and hire a proper one. I would never have an experience like this at Ruth Chris, Bones, or any Fifth Group Resturaunt for that matter.
