To celebrate my birthday, my girlfriend treated me to dinner at this location. Even though I left a $22 tip, I feel the meal and service was definitely not worth the $111 tab. The service was slow, and when they brought my steak to me it was not as ordered. I had to wait another twelve minutes or so for mine while my girlfriend ate hers. When the manager finally brought out my steak, there were no apologies made for the error or tardiness. The food was mediocre; this place is way over-rated.
The kitchen is comically slow. I think we ve been here 3x and why we don t come often is because every time we come here the kitchen just seems to slow down when it s time for entrees.
I like Aspens, it's a nice restaurant in a nice plaza. Very good service and food. I eat here often!
My family and I went to Aspens for my birthday. We originally were going to have dinner at home and my husband and girls were going to cook for me. We made reservations for 5pm (right when they open for the evening). It was a great experience, my daughter and I both have a gluten allergy and the server was very attentive to making sure that we were served food that was gluten free. She went as far as asking the manager to substitute out the complimentary red velvet birthday cake for the gluten free chocolate mousse cake (which was delicious). We will definitely be going back again.
Food was amazing and our server Megan was fantastic!
Always great! Brent and Tyler (Clarke Howard) took wonderful care of us. Food great as always.
I went for Sunday brunch, it was a simple menu, but very delicious! The service was AMAZING! And the ambience is so romantic and inviting, we took pictures and just had a great time! Cant wait to go back!
I've been here 12 years and always loved it. Steaks are great but they always have new stuff that impresses me. Cocktails are awesome.
Just okay. You can get better in the area for the money you'll spend.
Very nice atmosphere. Our server was extremely pleasant. The steak and seafood was superb, however other types of food out party ordered were good, but not quite up to the upscale pricing. All in all a very nice place for a quiet dinner.
Went with 3 friends. The food & service was excellent.
Long wait and the host staff think this is a much nicer place than it actually is. FYI, this is not a high end steak house, it's a middle of the road steak with a price tag that's out of this restaurant's league
Katy was an amazing service. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding as well.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. May make this a yearly tradition! A little expensive for the everyday, but definitely worth every penny!
Over priced with a decent experience. You are paying for the decor. Open table should be used but you will still have to wait. Waiter rarely came by but was knowledgeable about the food. Customer service was low (never offered to take coat, made us sit and wait even though 5 mins. early and space was available, the lady behind the hostess cared more about her computer).
We spent $90 for two (without alcohol).
Negatives
Wife had two bones in her fish (chef special). The sweet potato fries were soggy with no flavor (Chilies is actually better). The bread was a waste of space.
Positives
I liked my Almond crusted trout. The mushrooms were great. The Steak Bruchetta was great! My wife did like the fish too.
Was the experience with $90? I don't think it was.
Sunday brunch was awesome. It was nice to sit down in a cozy space and not be rushed. Food was great. Service was good.
The house steak is best and I recommend it rare or medium rare. It's not a cheap night, but well worth it.
The service was good. The steak was over cooked and had some sort of gravy on it.
Food is always cooked great my only negative would be the portion sizes but still a great experience
Food was excellent and delivered fairly quick. Prices are not too bad. Service was excellent. Also have a great deal when getting the gift cards at the location.
DO NOT order the flat iron steak, so tough and tasted terrible, could not even eat!!
My husband I had a dinner reservation on February 14th. We've dined there on prior occasions and found the food and ambience to be exceptional. However the dinner on the 14th proved to be devastating to my husband, who ended up with food poisoning. Not a pleasant experience, and I'm uncertain if we will ever dine there again.
My husband and I went on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Our waitress was clueless and had never even heard of a Malbec. She had to ask the bartender what we were talking about. She never told us any specials, I had to ask her repeatedly for everything, and she never even asked if we were celebrating anything special. We both ordered the filot mignon rare and got them back medium and covered in salt. I sent mine back and got a new one, but I could only eat half because it was still so salty. Finally, we went to pay for the dinner with a visa gift card we had recieved as an anniversary gift and were told they don't accept visa gift cards. We were super embarassed and talked to the manager. He was nice and comped everything but the drinks. We were happy he made it right eventually but the night was ruined. Apsens used to be a wonderful place to get a good steak, but now it feels like an over priced Longhorns.
