Quite a big restaurant and even when not full, not enough staff to serve everyone quickly. Food was decent though, not amazing, but good.
Very fresh and tastefull Italian food, the ambiance is ok. The service is friendly.
Perfect place to enjoy your lunch or dinner. Maybe the best on the area. Friendly staff. Excellent dishes. I will visit it again certainly if I visit again Paddington. Try pizza and gelato for dessert. The pizza is delicious. Next time I will try pasta. Even it is spacious, it's full at rush hours.
The staff was very nice and the food was super nice, if there was a problem for example a fly in your drink then that was immediately resolved my mother just got a new glass of wine!
We were also allowed to change tables.
Good for quick Italian meal with home like setting!
Felt like sitting o eating in a swimming pool. Tiled walls, the sound bounced. Stressed waiters who literally ran around the tables.
Waited 70 minutes for food that was completely tasteless. The only thing they managed was the bread. The note we got quickly ....
Didn't know directions and manager sent staff to help us find it.
Friendly staff, courteous & welcoming - unfortunately their stone oven pizza unfortunately didn't taste much besides tomato puree ..
The best place to dine with childrens. They really show that everyone is welcome and our little one get good service. Also they have the room and space what really buggies and prams needs. We will be back!
Good atmosphere, good food, great service from some staff poor from others, otherwise would be 5*
Great food ... super nice staff..for London really cheap .... price ... power ... really. Class .... arabiatta is it really .... desserts almost world class ... if you are in London you should not miss this
Service was okay but the food distinctly average - Calzone Carne Piccante had no flavour, wasn t spicy (as advertised) and basically consisted of soggy mushrooms with a couple of slices of pepperoni. Really disappointing meal.
Went for a quick lunch. Good fast service, food was good and large portions.
Best cheesecake ever . Ashley was helpful and attentive. Thanks
Really nice place to eat and hangout. Lots of seating options inside and out. Food is great and staff are lovely. I had the Chicken Pasta Bake. Prices are average. The place is decorated well with lot of natural light.
Had been to ASK Italian in Swansea and thoroughly enjoyed it, so on a trip into London we decided to go to the ASK in Paddington. It was a very different experience! We had some of the same dishes we'd liked in Swansea but Paddington's offerings fell way short. Staff were also unfriendly and rude, leaning across people that were still eating to collect empty plates without a word be spoken. I suppose that's the problem with franchises
Very tasty to eat here, not too expensive, clear recommendation
Cheap and cheerful is best way to describe AsK Italian. There is always a a voucher online that gives percentage off your meal and they accept NUS student card and Taste card
We visited this location on our recent trip to London. The food was significantly better than what I'm accustomed to in the States for fine Italian. More of a marriage of flavors that complement each other instead of a sauce that dominates the dish.
Our waitress made several recommendations st my request and they were all outstanding. If we were staying longer, we would dine again.
Great food, coffee and an interesting Italian craft beer.
The welcome drink of a little lemonade shot was unexpectedly refreshing and impressive. I went on to order a glass of it. Ordered a simple Pormodoro spaghetti and the portion is just nice and perfect for 1 lady. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Recommend for any light-lunch goers, for a spacious, clean and bright environment
The food is not worth the price. Wow, not bad, but not amazing. It's okay*.
The waitresses are super attentive, yes.
Had the famed carbonara, their signature dish with calamari as starters. Sat outside on a calm August evening. The table had specks of dried food, the waiteress seemed a bit hesitant at first but eventually guidet me to a fine red wine from Puglia. The wine was poured without a taste which maybe seem a bit posh to point out but compared with the overall ambition of the place interior and price I had expected a bit of detail to be encouraged. The pasta was slightly unevenly cooked but tastes good anyway. Am still waiting for the bill...20 minutes ago. All together an close to acceptable experience but staff needs to be trained.
Good food, plenty of choices of pasta and pizza and some starters
Super big and bright restaurant and a really good menu. The pizza dough is one of the best I have eaten. Unfortunately the food was a bit cold. That's why one point deduction. Nevertheless highly recommended.
Terrible service , took half an hour before We was even asked what we wanted to drink and the restraunt was not even busy. Food was nice but was already annoyed because of the staff did not enjoy it would not recommend to anyone.
Twas sweet, Italian hand jestures over the top and false
Used to really like it. The ambiance is nice but the food is so dry and tasteless.
We came to Ask Italian on New Years Eve, and we had the most pleasant experience! Our waiters name was Ash and he was so kind and helpful in navigating great places to see around London in addition to being very attentive. Awesome place, ASK for Ash! :)
The dishes are falling! Waiters and waitresses are nice.
We tried the starters, pasta, pizzas, risotto, everything is excellent.
Very pleasant service and the pasta and pizza were very good.
Peaceful ambience. Nice place for a meal with friend.
Staff were very good - don't know her name but girl with shoulder length brown hair who worked on 15th was very friendly and attentive
Very reasonable prices for central London. Good service.
Reasonable value for central London. Nice food although portions could have been bigger
Delicious food and drinks and awesome service. Really enjoyed.
An Italian restaurant with several branches in London. This branch has outdoor seating and an indoor meeting with a very beautiful glass roof. Do not miss pizza with sheep meat and they have an entree of bread with cheese and garlic with very excellent marmalade onions
Terrible service and really small portion of the new truffle pasta (that did not taste truffle).
Handsome and big. The shares were satisfactory and prices for London data normal.
Been here a few times now and food and service has been great all times. Standard menu but the location and service sets it above the other local Italian restaurants by some way.
The site is very beautiful, the treatment very correct. It's Italian food and the truth is that everything was very good.
Food and service spot on. Visited a few weeks in a row while waiting for my train, sat and read my book after eating without feeling rushed.
Situated in a very pleasant and popular location, near Paddington's overground and underground stations, this restaurant has patient and well mannered staff. Great menu to make your visit quite enjoyable. My order was mouth watering and absolutely delicious. By the way, that's my third visit and as it was mother's day, they had a mother's day menu. great food.
Cozy, atrocious warm, the pizza is good.
The wine has a screw cap, prices a bit 'high but probably dimensioned on London.
Perfectly nice. Standard Italian menu of mostly pasta and pizza. Well decorated, very friendly staff with good service. Reasonably priced, especially set menus.
Love this place - nice drinks, delicious food and friendly service! A particularly good use of student discount too ;)
Good as good as ever service equally friendly and prompt
Lovely staff! Great food! Try the pistachio and olive oil cake- it's divine!
Impressive interior and really good pasta. Also delicious lemonade shot as a welcome gift.
As Italian-style chains go, it's pretty good. You can get better food, better service and it's cheaper in many local family-run Italian restaurants.
A large spacious and airy restaurant just a couple of minutes walk from Paddington station. Ideal place for a stop-off before travelling. We were quickly shown to a table, and the food arrived quickly after ordering. The two calzones that we had were really, really good. I had the Calzone Carne Piccante - very moist inside with plenty of the meaty ragu. The side salad was very tired and dried out - give it a miss. Given the price, location and convenience it was a good deal. I'd go again. And have that calzone!
An English/American version of Italian food, although still pretty good. Bright cheery dining room, noisy and rather barnlike. Good quick service.
Very good service. Clean, good views and good food. Reasonable price too.
Good and cheap on the way to Heathrow. Staff very friendly and the food was good.
The terrible salmon salad, the rock-hard rice. The water of the time and they put ice to cool it. More than an hour to serve us the food. We will not be back.
Wait a little long but otherwise the dishes were very good
Would love to go back again! Friendly, warm and great food!
Great food and brilliant servers (at the Paddington London) will definitely try another one closer to home
Very good Italian option in Paddington, good price and very good food.
