We just went here for dinner and had a fish that stank of bleach/ammonia. They need to be careful because you could kill someone sending out food like that. We left everything and have started a new dinner in another restaurant, but the disgusting smell of that fish has ruined our night. Do not eat here.

We had dinner there once, and had a mixup with ordering fries. The menu had two kinds of a fries order, we ordered one and they gave the other, but the manager sorted everything out for us, very friendly. The ambiance is always great, the food is good and they have a decent collection of beers on tap.

Pros: The back room is a quiet place to meet friends for dinner. Located conveniently to MIT and Central Square. Karaoke night is fun.
Cons: Forgettable food. Spotty service. VERY LOUD in the front area during peak hours. Chairs and tables have that sticky-tavern-beer coating.

Part 3 of Oscar and Jesse eat their way through Central Square. We ordered a burger, veggie burger and veggie chili. The food was good especially the fries. Veggie burger was of the grain kind but melded well with the condiments (guest reviewer Z approved). Greet beer selection. Chocolate cake big enough for 3.

Boys say: interesting atmosphere. Early industrial meets medieval Ireland. Like a comic book. Very spacious. We felt at ease.

Classic Irish Pub - Monday nights are my favorite because its 25 cent wings night, gets quite crowded because its quite a deal with barbeque, terayaki, buffao wing sauce to choose from, they also have a wide selection of beers. And on other nights they have other events going on as well.

I went there with bunch of my friends for brunch, they are know for Irish breakfast food,it's kinda on the pricer side but the food was pretty delicious. The customer service was really good, waitress was running the whole restaurant but she always made sure we had everything and we all set too.

First I've had great experiences and meals in the past. Recently went here after a winter Cambridge 5K and can understand it was an atypical day with lots of runners eating there. I have gone here in the past after the race where the experience was wonderful. I might change toattribute the the unusual circumstances but must hold Stephanie our waitress responsible for the majority of the poor experience. Never have I felt so ignored as a diner. She did not make eye contact or even check on us about more coffee or how the meals were. Hopefully this was just a bad day for Stephanie and the Asgard and not a sign of things to come.

The burgers are delicious and the fries are really large. We waited for a pretty long time for our food and the manager came out and apologized and told us we didn't have to pay due to the long wait. This was right after a marathon in Cambridge and a float of runners went into the restaurant.

Would probably give 0 for service and complaint follow up.

I went to Asgard for lunch earlier this week to treat a friend. The restaurant was at 10% capacity and the lunch itself was uneventful. When the time came to make the payment, the server told us that the credit card machine wasn't working and that she would write my card number down to charge it later and then gave back the card. Since there weren't that many people, I didn't look at my card and put it back in my wallet. Fast forward the next day. I wake up to find charges worth $800 on my card that I hadnt authorized. Turns out the server had given me someone elses card and given my card to someone else. Went through a lot of hassle to get all those charges disputed. Finally, I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about this, requesting him to talk to his staff to be more careful. The response I received was shocking. Rather than make amends by apologizing and assuring that he would talk to his staff to make sure that this doesn't happen in the future, the manager was totally unapologetic and nonchalantly said that this swap was totally my mistake and that if I was more observant, my card wouldn't have been switched. Seriously? He didnt even ask my server's name! More so over, he asked if I called to get a free meal? I am totally appalled by this manager's behavior. In all my years dining at restaurants, I have always received my card back and never received a random strangers card.

Don't think I am ever returning to this place if this is how they treat customers.

Oh i forgot to mention, my credit card statement shows three pending charges of different amounts apart from my lunch cost (all from Asgard). Not sure exactly what the server was doing that day.

It's an Irish pub - they have beer here. Gets very busy at times, so hope you're not in a rush! That said, they've got a pretty good selection and the food is better than expected, but it's pretty standard pub food overall. Good prices given the area.

A serviceable Irish meal ( bangers, shepherds and stew) confused somewhat by the choice of a burger, salmon and a portobello mushroom alternative. Confused, but interesting... something for everyone! (Oh, and a perfect Guinness pour!)

Loved the theme and ambience of asgard, staff and food are awesome and welcoming and live music made Saturday night even more wonderful. Would recommend to try while hanging in cambridge Massachusetts.

4 stars is if you go in knowing what to expect. The food is your typical bar food, but prepared well. The drinks aren't anything fancy or special, but fine for an after dinner beer or glass of wine. Place gets very loud and crowded, as you would expect. Good spot for an after dinner drink and snack, trivia night, etc.

Great for groups. All types of food. Great chicken tenders, chips, fish, yummy pasta, so many beers to try, friendly service, easily accessible via the T, close to MIT and outside seating (seasonal)!

Great selection of craft beer that always changes. Atmosphere is great, food is nothing to write home about but you can't go wrong with their bar food, i.e., great nachos, fries, and quesadilla; burger isn't bad. Their "Irish food" isn't all that Irish so I wouldn't order the Shepard's pie if you've ever had a real one. Make sure you come for Trivia on Tuesdays, which is always a good time!

Asgard is an Irish pub (despite its name) that serves very good bar food and is a great site for late-night trivia. It's dimly lit and can get overly crowded/noisy during peak hours, but it always has a fun atmosphere.

Just your average pub filled with the average crowd. Food seemed to be above average but nothing special. Drinks and food can both be pricy given the location. Easy walk from the Central Square stop on the Red Line

I have eaten here on many occasions never had a complaint UNTIL last night. I am not sure if it s bc I used grub hub and not picked up like I normally do but I ordered the 2lbs of Galway honey bbq boneless wings for 21 dollars and I think they only gave me one pound I literally had 6 pieces of chicken and was pissed.... I will go back or just go to Kinsale downtown bc they never messed up it can be an honest mistake but I don t play with my money. I will be posting the pic I took as soon as I opened with eating any of my food

Although they made a mistake on my order, the salmon goat cheese fritata was very good. And when I say they made a mistake, I mean they gave me the wrong order which I kept for free. That was the Caprese Omelet which was good in it's own right. Since I was staying at Le Meridien and need some lunch, this place does the trick and more.

A fun atmosphere. The tables were a little too high for me, and I'm 6'3 . A little too married to the Asgard theme, especially strange since it is an Irish restaurant. The food was good, but not great, but at prices that demanded they at least be memorable. Hard time justifying.

Awesome place to try different types of draft beers and to grab some bar food! We ask for French fries and tacos and they were great! I can't remember the beer because I ask to the waiter for some red and refreshing beer and he told me "I know what you want", and he bring me the perfect beer I was looking for in that moment! It's a fun place.

Came here for brunch because the usual suspects were full. The brunch was reasonably priced ($12.00 for a full Irish bfast, $8.50 for eggs and bacon sandwich, including a side of home fries), and the atmosphere was relaxing, but the food was on the bland side.

A decent place to grab some drinks with friends. Ideal for larger parties. They have plenty of space and quick service. The only noise is the noise you make. Speak easy place provided no big game is on.

Went with a large group of people so service was rather slow but otherwise the food was your normal American burger place. The sweet potato fries were amazing. Any of the burgers are great the try.

For going for drinks the service wasn't very friendly, and we waited a long time for the waitress to come around for ordering more rounds/getting the bill.

Rude, unprofessional manager.

I was denied service because I presented a valid ID from the state of New Mexico. The bartender informed me that they do not accept international IDs and asked if I had a passport.

I informed her that New Mexico was not international, but rather, was part of the United States. She nonetheless refused. She informed me that their sister restaurant had recently had a liquor violation, and they didn t want to take any chances. I asked her to get the manager.

The manager came over, and she was rude, combative, and annoyed. After reviewing my ID she decided that it was, in fact, valid US identification (or at least that she didn t care), but her attitude was enough to convince us that we would never want to spend our money at this establishment. So we pressed on.

Excellent Irish fare served here, with a wide ranging beer selection as well. Waiter told us a story of how another customer asked for the Yankees game to be shown on one of the screens, which he concluded by showing us his Red Sox tattoo. Hilarious.
