This is my go-to spot for lunch meetings when I need to be able to hear the other people at the table and have a conversation. It's usually not too crowded and they don't play loud music which I appreciate. The food is always great.

Pretty average place. Food is fine. Service isn t bad. Restaurant itself is nice.
Good for a drink and some bar for, watching a game or trivia night.
Cambridge and Central square specifically has some really great food. Overall not a must go to but wouldn t shy away if that s where the group was heading.
The food is great here. The atmosphere is really nice. Without a doubt the best time to go is lunchtime in summer, when you can get seats by the open window onto Mass Ave. At dinner time the service is pretty slow.
This is a great friendly neighborhood pub with good food and drinks. I personally loved the truth or pear martini. When the weather is nice out try to snag a table outside. If you're going during happy hour just be aware that if there is a large group there it can be very noisy and hard to hear.
Went on the Fourth of July with a large group of nine adults and two babies-recipe for disaster! The hosts were really accommodating and put us in a room where we could all hear each other and the waitress was incredibly friendly and kind!
My food wasn't brought out until an hour after I ordered. I was with a group and by the time I got my food my friends were all done eating. Awkward experience. Seemed to be a result of the wait staff being overworked.
I received water that was clearly dirty. When I asked the waitress for a replacement, she insisted the glass was clean. Even if she was right (which she wasn't), what kind of customer service is that?
I had an awesome experience in this spot. We liked the fantastic environment and the food. The staff members are very affable. I am glad we eventually decided to eat here.
The Asgard has a solid selection of Irish pub fare as well as other interesting dishes from a variety of ethnic food groups. Monday nights they have a wing special that is fantastic and the beer selection is the best in my experience in the Central Square area (with options for 16 or 20 oz. pours).
Decor is mostly Irish pub-like, with some Nordic tones to it. Atmosphere depends a lot on the night of the week - Monday is a busy wing night, trivia nights and live-band karaoke can be noisy, but there's a back dining area that's quieter if you prefer it. Service can be a little slow in the bar area if they're completely packed, but that's true almost everywhere.
Is Loki dead? Seriously? Where is heimdall's sword We want to bring Tony stark to the earth along with nebula and this could be only done if we have the power of All fathers and open the bifrost See this is really serious we have to stop Thanos *A marvel fan.
Quaint, cozy, decorative atmosphere. Staff are super-kind, and even let me sit in the last available table one night, even though it should have been for a larger party. Best, tastiest, freshest fish-n-chips in town!
I went there with a group of coworkers and our experience was absolutely horrible. The service was poor and we waited a long time to get our food and check. Also, there were multiple things that went wrong with our lunch: several items came out wrong from the kitchen, the kitchen was out of a particular entree, and our pickle that came with one of our sandwiches was not pickled and was simply a cucumber. Additionally, the cloth napkins that they use were so thin that the grease from wiping your hands off from our meal went through the cloth and onto my dress pants, ruining my pants. Horrible experience, save yourself the agony.
Good drinking and atmosphere. Food is a little overpriced but solid quality. Just don't go when they have an awful karaoke band playing and you'll have a great time.
Had the salmon spinach salad and it was perfect for a light nutritious dinner. It came with a perfect blend of seasoning and ingredients, and the service was fast and great too.
I visited at 3 p.m. on a Sunday, had iced tea and the goat cheese & peach salad with salmon added on top.
Enjoyed everything about my visit. I arrived about 15 minutes before my friend, was seated and ordered my iced tea. No one pressured me, but I felt attended to.
When my friend arrived her drink order was taken, we were given space for her to read the menu. When the server came through and saw my friend was opening a present, she gave us breathing room before returning to take our food order. After the food was served she checked in again to see if everything was ok, then left us alone until it was time to go.
My friend had mentioned to our server that she was attending a 4:30 p.m. bday party in the function room. So around 4:15 as I put my fork down and said to my friend I'd take the rest home, the server reappeared and asked if we wanted the check. She then reappeared with the check in about 2 minutes, we paid and said goodbye to each other. It felt like such a seamless, easy going experience.
Now, the salad: really enjoyed the pecans and peaches. I think the balsamic dressing was good and the greens were fresh. The salmon was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, and I appreciated that it wasn't overcooked. It was tender. The fried goat cheese was ok, but nothing to write home about. I would order this salad again, but I'd like to try something else on their menu next time. They seem to have some good options.
Food was ok.... Place was super busy which made it a little hard to find staff. When you did find the staff it was clear that they were working their butts off. Maybe they were short handed that night. Live band was great and added to the atmosphere, made the wait bearable.
Their burgers are relatively unique - I got the lamb burger, which tasted pretty good. However, service members were not very attentive (took forever to get waiters to bring missing silverware, refill water, and had to physically walk over to the TV area to ask for these items. The waiters were busy watching basketball).
Good food, excellent atmosphere. I've been here twice now and got comfort food (sheppards pie and beef stew) both times. They were well made and flavorful.
Lot's of people there but noise was not overwhelming which is a major plus for me.
Loud sports bar, limited beer selection, spotty service, nothing unique about this one. Was confused as it's an "Irish pub", but the name and decor were Nordic...meh. Easily forgettable.
Been here a handful of times and have never had a bad experience. The beer list is pretty well balanced and always has something that looks good.
Food-wise, it's not standout amazing, but it is solid. I've had the mac and cheese, the crab cod cake salad, and the chicken pot pie.
The space itself is really cool; you feel like you are in some sort of Nordic castle. Also it is very large which is great if you have a big group of friends and need a place to eat.
The atmosphere is OK and the staff were kind and friendly yet the dish was simply awful. It was the worst fish and chips I've ever had. I could barely finish half of it. Very high price to performance ratio. Not returning.
A quaint but very cozy shop in the middle of Cambridge / Boston. A wide selection of beverages is offered here, including local beers and specialties, and a good range of dishes such as burgers, chicken wings, etc. Everything is quickly in place, hot and tasty and at moderate prices. The service is very friendly and the audience is mixed with the tendency towards the younger generation. There is also sport on several screens and sometimes live music. That brings us to the only negative point, it is very loud, partly because of the good music, but unfortunately it makes it difficult to talk. All in all, definitely worth another visit.
Went in with a party of 15 after a local dance event. They had to separate us into two tables, which was fine. Then, they moved us and pushed two tables together in back room but that wasn't enough seating for us. It was all downhill from there... *drinks took forever * food took forever * appetizer (nachos) came out same time as entrees * two food orders wrong * one person was never asked how they'd like their burger cooked * didn't ask if we wanted water for table, then they took order for four, but brought three * excuses for everything
One of us ordered a pasta dish with chicken and it came out (late) with no chicken. When we told the manager, he put in side order of chicken but that took forever and person was mostly done with pasta.
In my opinion, they should have definitely given something complimentary on the order (maybe the nachos). This is pretty standard when you have justifiably dissatisfied customers, but they didn't evben bother. Instead, they gave us a comment card to fill out, which we filled out with LOW grades. Kinda funny, but they even got their goodbyes wrong, as the server said have a good day at 8:30 pm.
The drinks were good so if I was in the area I would stop in for a drink, but definitely not pick as a meeting place for drinks or food.
Nice, clean bar with character and fair prices. Would be appropriate for many different purposes from an after work drink to hanging out with friends or family.
Modern, clean Irish pub in the heart of Cambridge with ample space for large groups. The food is very good and the portions are big. There is a good selection of Irish and local beers.
Loved the place. It has nice food and a pretty good amount of choices when it comes to ordering. Also the atmosphere is quite nice, and the waiters are friendly. Highly recommend.
Great beer selection, plenty of seating and, most importantly, you can actually get inside to watch the sports when one team is doing the sports at the rival sports team
I can't speak to whether the food is authentic, but it's certainly tasty, I really like their beef stew. The best part is of course, the decor. It feels like you're eating in an old nordic tavern.
Extremely slow service. Was during the Harvard Yale Game. Had to wait over 20 minutes before we had to ask the reception to get somebody for us. This 20 minute wait and having to get up and ask then happened for asking for the check and even paying. Food was average.
They seemed quite responsible about covid precautions. They took down info for contact tracing, had outdoor seating spaces far enough apart, and servers were courteous and had masks on at all times. Other patrons however were more laxed and did not all wear masks. Food and drink are typical bar fare.
Service was fine, atmosphere is cool. We ordered the fish and chips, which was the worst thing we had ever tasted. I cannot express in words how bad this was. It made our hands and clothes smell like rotted fish for a day. If you go, don t order food.
The food was fantastic, and priced very reasonably. However, the service was very slow; it looked like one server was trying to cover 8 or 9 tables the whole night.
Had a blast here watching France Vs. Argentina. Awesome server, great beer, good food. Was just visiting for the weekend and this was a nice surprise to stumble upon.
Was doing the Boston half marathon the next day so decided to try their Mac and cheese to load up on carbs. It was very tasty and hot, quick and attentive service. Fully deserves 5 stars.
Big space. Looks nice. Great location on Mass Av, near Central Sq. and MIT...that's all what predominantly earns it a name. May be pretty good for a beer and hangout. Else not much to write home about their service and what they serve. There is a fair selection of beer on the draft.
