It has most things but I often don't get everything
Yesterday approx 11.15 bought from "hot food" counter/display - 4 chicken strips (barely warm and soggy but edible), plus portion of chunky chips for which words fail me! The bag proclaims "tender, succulent, tasty, satisfying, delicious" which these product definitely were NOT! Chips were barely warm, soggy, tasting vaguely of cardboard but otherwise tasteless. As this product was inedible I went straight back to the counter where the lady told me that she couldn't help as she hadn't cooked them. No offer of replacement, or refund, or apology. I asked who COULD help, told Customer Services where there was a queue of at least 7 people and I didn't have time ot wait. Much as I am a really big fan of ASDA in general (especially the Whitley Rd branch), not only were these 2 products NOT as advertised and exceptionally poor quality (the chips unacceptable) but being unable to have the matter rectified at the time, considerably exacerbated my displeasure (and my hunger pangs!)
Great place to shop for all of your household needs
Needed a certain red wine tried three other Asda stores rang Byker spoke to Alix whom was really helpful then approached Kyall who got two full cases from top shelf. WELL DONE Asda Byker very helpful and friendly staff. THANK YOU
Very busy. Full of people that will have a argument with you and honk their horns at you.
Store wise. It s a ASDA had stuff they should have.
A great choice of shops with Asda, TK Maxx and Argos taking centre stage.
Friendly staff, good range of items, wheelchair friendly.
Went to the cafe at 3.55-4.00pm to be told there was hardly any food left!! It's tea time, asked for 3 separate things a kids bolognese meal (non left) cheeseburger (non left) told there was only sausage left for the kids!! Ended up with a chip butty!! There was only 1 other table full at the time. About 4 tables were dirty with leftover food plates and cups!! 2 members of staff though, half the cafe was closed!! One member of staff wasn't the politest and come out the kitchen scranning scraps!! shouldn't eat behind the kitchen for hygiene reasons!! The older lady however was lovely!! Won't be returning I'll stick to Morrisons
Enormous and stocks everything you could imagine asda selling. One stop shop.
A lack of vegan options. Considering all those hippies that live in heaton and the more thoughtful people using the store from the surrounding areas..
Friendly staff loadsa bargains and plenty parking and being in a retail park plenty other types of shopping can be done at the same time
Big store, the fast lane tills are too cramped though
It ok ok shopping at Asda. Prices are always affordable and the staff is kindly helpful and supportive
Friendly staff, produce is always excellent. My go too shop.
Staff are always friendly and love the quality of the products you get for such great prices
Affordable, electronics are cheaper here than in Morrisons.
Disappointed they are not using their outside tables
Wanted new replacement toaster and Asda is the best and cheapest and Which recommended
ASDA is good value for your money. They sell their own brand discount range which during these hard times is handy. They also have a good range off well known brands. Staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
Turned up at 5:50 to use cafe waited around for nearly 10 mins. 2 members of staff finally turned up to say they were closed. I asked where they had been to be told they had both been taking rubbish out.
Always discontinuing the lines I like which is frustrating. Too long waiting to pay as usual. On the latest visit all self service checkouts with conveyor belts were closed due to apparently a software problem. Queues were ceazy
Came to get a personalised cake for my friend, would definitely recommend for people's birthdays etc
Great customer service always there to help u when u need them
A large, relatively cheap market where we can buy toys, chemicals, drinks, food
Its got good parking and sells everything, doesnt seem to have as much choice of clothes like some of the other asda's. Staff seem happy getting on with their job and checkout staff are friendly
Plenty parking huge range of products all on 1 level.
Massive store, everything you could want under one roof.
Because it is in the business park there are loads of other shops around too.
Pretty much the only place you need to visit.
It's just a supermarket .. that's all.... nothing exciting about it
I'd just like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Asda Byker. My partner and I are completely adhering to the stay home instructions and have only ventured out twice in the last 3 weeks. Both times have been to pick up our click and collect orders from Asda Byker and have experienced excellent customer service, both from the security and store staff.in this day and age it is so easy to complain about anything and everything, so I just want to say how much your efforts are appreciated. Stay safe everyone.
Everything under one roof. Always clean staff friendly
It's a large sized Asda with everything you would expect from an Asda, good layout and staff seem pleasant.
It's an Asda. Don't expect greatness and you won't be disappointed. Only problem is due to its location it's full of one eyed people with three legs and plenty of mobility scooters. Go there only if needs must as they have other stores around town.
Great value for money products and grocery. Only thing i didn't like is compared to other ASDA stores this doesn't have much Indian breads like chapatti and roti. Alcohol prices are cheaper compared to other supermarkets nearby. It's very spacious and can be tiring as well. It takes more than 30mins to explore every department in the store. Also the billing counter are very less compared to it's size.
It also has pharmacy inside which is great. #asda #supermarket #valueformoney
Amazing staff, very polite. I would totally recommend it
Handy for a weekly shop or top up. I have to say the customer service desk is a joke in Byker. When it's not busy the staff are too busy chatting to even notice you are there. On the other hand, when it is busy they have faces like they swallowed a load of wasps and you often don't get a hello or thank you out of them. It's almost like they're annoyed to be working there. Smile for goodness sake
Very good nice place plenty of parking very good staff
Big supermarket with everything you could want .Prices are good and staff very helpful. There's a small cafe and clean toilets including a large easy access w.c.
Only worth one star. Giving two because of the signs that say 'Bairns' and 'Kets'.
huge shop, can buy almost everything, good social distance measures
It's an ASDA. It's just like every other ASDA. Why would you need any more information?
Best ASDA I have been in, friendly staff and a good selection of products
As one of Britain's cheapest, it's obviously a great supermarket where you can get everything you need pretty much.
Staff most nice mostly get what I need but some things like salad n bread sometimes have short dates . N hardly have any large multi pack of Tiger catfood fish flavoured cat food 12packs.
Used to use this place all the time but sadly not keen on the place now
Love Asda, especially their food. Their own brand of soup, beautiful & thick
Asda fine car parking a bit tight . It just might the time of day at 6pm to many staff packing shelves over all everything fine
Found what we wanted as we normally dont shop thus far out. Staff friendly and helpful, good value compared to other branches.
Almost an average Asda, far too many unhelpful staff packing delivery orders getting in the way, otherwise an average Asda.
