A relaxing event for Friday night jazz and I will attend again.
Nice venue, adjacent to The High Museum. Excellent acoustics and facility. Went for Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Beth Hart. I imagine ASO would be amazing.
Definitely had a great experience. A very warm and inviting atmosphere. Peaceful
Interesting facility with it's many building's within the Woodruff Art's campus. The campus includes the High Museum, Alliance Theater and Atlanta Symphony Hall with additional areas for meetings or conferences. Everything seems spread out overall but layout is situated just north of the hustle and bustle of Midtown. I love the art and culture the Woodruff Art's center bring but I wish the area and surrounding would parallel more. If you walk around the Woodruff Art's campus you will see diversity is high. So that's speaks volumes. Robert Woodruff and everything he stood for is an important part of Atlanta history. So do your research and remember the future is bright
Great museum crowded on weekends especially the first Saturday of the month which is free for Fulton county residents. Good for all ages. Check for interesting traveling exhibits
Love this place. Love when they have the piano player getting down with the awesome vibes. Vincent Levy Bryant is an awesome artist, go check him out.
Went to see the Atlanta symphony. The acustics are great and seats comfortable. It's well pitched so there isn't a bad seat in the house.
Tickets for the event were $$, with very low fees
Although this building is a bit dated especially when compared to newer performing centers like the Cobb Energy Center and the new Sandy Springs center. That said, there is nothing wrong with Woodruff. It's comfortable with ample parking and easy walking distance to the Arts Center MARTA station. Great place to catch the very capable Atlanta Symphony.
A world-class arts center in Midtown Atlanta. I love to walk through the outdoor space around Woodruff, especially on Mondays when the High is closed. This is when you can see the crew take down and set up installations. I like the opportunity to catch a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibitions. Grab a ginger & turmeric tea from Octane to sip while you stroll through the courtyard. Don't forget to check the board to find out what's coming to ASO and the Alliance while you're there.
Come here nice and early if you want to see everything.
So many emotions when I walked through this museum.
They have a unbelievable collection. I was able to see first hand some of my most favorite pieces.

Great place for the family and kids especially during the Summer! There are classes at the High, great places to eat. Parking is can be a challenge. Join the High for discounted parking for members.
Second Sunday of every month you can go there with your kids, its free family day. You can listen music, visit galleries and do your own art pieces there.
The Atlanta Symphony was absolutely beautiful! The Sears were comfortable and all of the attendants were very cordial and helpful! This was my 5th time attending and I always look forward to this visit!
Love the free art blue boxes for the kids. My kids love art and making art so they come in handy during the summer months.
Great evening! Jazz was awesome and great dance music. Please provide more seating....possibly chairs only.
SE US: this is your world-class cultural center! Enjoy!
If you're going to downtown Atlanta, this should be included among the list of must-visit places. It's a very interesting park.
Acoustics were great, staff is friendly, wish there were more concession food options.
The Acoustics were a little off being the type of environment that it was being played in but the hot is excellent for family fun or if you're by yourself or with a couple support Atlanta you'll have a great time here
Great location for Marta. Cool architecture. Great shows and special events. A special permanent collection.
Beautiful museum with lots to see! Thank God for the elevators and benches for sitting because you can get worn out from all of the walking, especially seniors like myself. The tour guide, older Caucasian woman was an excellent guide who was firm, yet patient with the group, and was very knowledgeable. She's also smart enough to carry her little stool for sitting.
Love this place. The high is a great gallery with bright airy exhibition spaces and highly knowledgeable docents who enrich the experience. Well worth a visit while you're in Atlanta
Amazing experiencing seeing the exhibit. Great staff super formerly
Nice art! We all had a great time. You have to go..
This one of those "Must See" multifaceted places in Atlanta. It has a long cultural history and it is one of those places that should be included in any Atlanta vacation. The Woodruff Arts Center is a visual and performing arts center located in Atlanta, Georgia.
The center houses three not-for-profit arts divisions on one campus. Opened in 1968, the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the High Museum of Art. The Facility includes approximately 906,000 square feet of exhibition, educational and performance space, plus a 200,000-square-foot garage located beneath the village.
The Hgh Museum of Art is also in the Woodruff Center. it has more than 15,000 works of art in its permanent collection, the High has an extensive anthology of nineteenth- and twentieth-century American and decorative art; significant holdings of European paintings; a growing collection of African American art; and burgeoning collections of modern and contemporary art, photography, folk and self taught art, and African art. The High is also dedicated to supporting and collecting works by Southern artists.
The Woodruff Arts Center contains some of Atlanta's most wonderful cultural gems--the ASO, High Museum, Alliance Theater, and more. It is also directly across the street from MODA. If you have only one day in Atlanta, you should def spend it here!
Attended a Red ,Carpet Event and Screening of TVONE Bobby Debarge Story.
Love this place! You can spend a day here and not get bored.
I have learned so much by being a member here for the past few years. In addition to art, the High offers events for families with young children and adults like Friday Jazz.
What a great venue!!! Always a good time and great performers!!!
I love the arts and this is a world class facility!
We were on the woodruff "campus" specifically to get to The High. Unless folks were sitting and eating at the outdoor areas, they were masked, doing early voting, going to The High, or passing through. People doing things as close to normal as possible.
Well maintained, good acoustics, comfortable seats. Don't change a thing. OK add more restrooms. They get jammed at intermission. But nothing else, okay? KThanksBye.
A place where real professional artists come together and explore and educate. The arts center is the perfect place for all ages
It's a really nice museum, the Guggenheim is modeled after it, i didn't know that. There's some really dope, powerful art from different artist, eras and backgrounds, but my favorite are the different exhibits. Basquiat, the African art exhibit, the Sneaker exhibit were all AMAZING. The museum all has a small play area for the kids On the first floor with puppets and blocks and books, outside of that the museum isn't too kid friendly lol.
Let yourself be amazed by the impressive art showings
Great place too take in the arts: visual, plays, and a world-class symphony.
Great place, specially free family days.
Parking can be expensive, though.
Where the high art center is. Neat to walk around, there are some art pieces outside, a little cafe, etc
The African Art was my favorite part at the top floor! The connection I felt from that exhibit was amazing and so real!
Beautiful. Best way to summarize. There is a lot of great knowledge along side such great art and history. It is nice to see history preserved and yet only wondering if it had more significance at its home where it was taken. Loved having their honor to see I person.
Large museum. Special exhibit now is photographer Sally Mann. Also a substantial collection of modern art along with folk art and the more traditional collection of painting and sculpture. Well worth a visit. I'll be back
If you have any interest in art you should stop here. Art from different periods, generas and mediums. Wish they were open later, but love the place.
Excellent educational experience and new things to see from various artists and cultures.
Being only my second time at this venue I have little other than brief impressions. The campus is clean and easy to navigate. Bathrooms are plentiful, if alittle out of the way. Food and beverage are handled by third-party contractors, so that is luck of the draw; however, it's fairly standard fare, a small selection of drinks (both hard and soft), and a similarly sized offering of snacks. I very much enjoyed both of the productions I saw here, so I would recommend this venue if you are in the mood for theatrical arts.
Loved this place. My children want to go back as soon as school is over. A lot of beautiful artwork to see.
Beautiful arts campus in Midtown ATL. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just wish their restaurants would stay open later!
Unfortunately their ticket server was down so we had to play musical chairs at the alliance but the play ride the cyclone was good.
The Atlanta symphony orchestra and chorus, whose artistic home is the Woodruff Arts Center, offer stunning performances of classical and contemporary symphonic/choral-symphonic repertoire.
Great place to visit and see their shows they be having.
Went to the High Art museum. Had a great time. Lots of the generic splotches of paint and stuff that makes you think, "How did this possibly make it into a museum?" But there is also a lot of really awesome stuff to see, as well. Glad I went.
Enjoyed the Hogwarts Halloween concert. Great venue.
Fun exhibit, love going to the High. Just renewed my membership
Lovely art museum with modern art. Restaurants and campus. $15 parking fee. Veterans and a guest get in free.
Clean arts center with lots of parking. Pretty easy to get around and great concessions
The diversity and quality of their programs is broad in scope and appeal.
I go to this venue constantly, and it is truly wonderful. Excellent design and a spacious lobby equipped with high class food service. The orchestra, chorus, and theatre themselves are very skilled, and the hall is a beautiful space. The hall itself could definitely use more aisles, as I constantly have to deal with people sliding past me to get to the middle, however this is merely a minor annoyance, which is balanced out by the quality of the orchestra and the sound in the hall.
Beautiful space, great for dramatic photos, hahaha. I was high up in the balcony, but my view and experience was very good for the price!
Beautiful space, comfy seating, clean restrooms, friendly staff, easy access to MARTA, but the audio was ABYSMAL! I was in the 5th row of a comedy show and no one in my area could hear the talent. We paid for VIP and would have been better off in the balcony.
Wonderful Sunday at the High Museum checking out the Virgil Abloh show and see all of the Masters, the folk art, etc. A great day!
It's all we have for the most part, but they do have some great events and performances. There free nights for teachers and art events for kids, the performances at the Alliance Theater are great, and I really look forward to seeing the newly renovated spaces soon. Performances at symphony hall can be enjoyed from any seat in the hall. Gotta love the hometown arts center!
We loved the symphony!!! That was our first time that we came here to watch the symphony and we will definitely be back!! Miranda helped me and my girls out tremendously and made our experience just 'oh so wonderful' she went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and knew how things worked there. We are truly grateful!!
Jazz at the High is a wonderful experience. Only problem is the amount of available seating and the acoustics. Music inside the museum is not the ideal place to hold this event. Otherwise it's a great place to take in the art and people watch!
Went to many events at the High Museum of Art (which is part of the whole Woodruff Arts Center) including monthly jazz nights, temporary exhibitions, and artisan markets. Always had a great time! They put a lot of thought into everything. At an early exhibition opening the director was walking through the lobby talking to people and he asked us with genuine interest if we like it and how they can attract more young people. I recommend the dual membership, which is very very affordable!
Nice and clean. Easy to get to on Marta. Interesting and informative exhibits.
Took an orchestra class to view works from female composers. Huge place with hundreds of students however the staff planned well and ran everything smoothly while being friendly.
Beautiful space with a great roataion of exhibts, shows and concerts.
The permanent exhibit was closed for renovation but the Winnie the Pooh exhibit made it completely worth it!
A wonderful part of the city. The High is a go-to for me. The symphony always impresses.
Saw the Atlanta Symphony doing tribute show to David Bowie. Phenomenal! Love our symphony, always creative, excellent talent. Woodruff Arts Center is a lovely venue, easy to park in their underground deck, refreshment bars and comfy seats.
The WAC was filled with such beautiful art, will be returning for the next art exhibit.
Certainly not a bad place to go with to enjoy an array or artistic mediums. From live music, exhibits in the museum, events that bring in local artists, and more, this place offers a great time. The museum itself can be delightful, or irritating at times. Just like many other art exhibits, you end up surrounded by others who walk from picture, painting, sculpture, etc., taking 3-5 seconds taking a photograph with their phone and then walking away. Not to sound petty, but this does begin to get in the way of actually enjoying the art. Also, there is often live music throughout the month, but this is not a time to come and dance as there is no dance floor; you might be able to dance outside if there is a band playing though. The acoustics are pretty dreadful inside though, which when paired with everyone standing around shouting at the person six inches form their face just to be heard, it becomes less enjoyable. However, if you go during the day when it is much slower, I am sure you will enjoy it.
Great museum. This is the Infinity Mirrors exhibit...it was so much fun!
The Atlanta Symphony is amazing! You should definitely try to attend a concert, especially when they are playing Beethoven!
Wonderful facility with it's own Marta Station, amist the High Museum between the Peachtrees, across from MODA and Colony square. Parking expensive, hence the train. Lots nearby and a stones throw from Piedmont Park.
