always an inspiring awesome evening. attended the Britten War Requiem performance.
Friendly staff. Even valet parking and garage parking staff were awesome. The bartenders were cool and made sure everyone got exactly what they needed... the set up from the seats to the stage were nice, didnt have to worry about anyone sitting in front of me because I was able to see.
Love the Alliance renovation - great stage, great place!
Visiting The Woodruff Arts Center is a great place to visit. They offer a variety of plays to choose from.
Art is important for your life....go for a visit and unwind.
Lots of different arts to enjoy. Good variety of exhibits which change frequently enough to warrant return visits.
Every time I attend something at "The Woodruff Arts Center", I feel more cultured
The "Atlanta Symphony Orchestra" is AWE-MAZING!!!
I'm so lucky to live and work just blocks from such an important part of Atlanta and the US.
Definitely one of my favourite places to visit if you love arts, could look small inside but there's lots of things to do and see (:
I'm a HUGE David Bowie fan. Spent over $600 for 2 tickets to hear the songs of Bowie from Alanta Symphony. Was horribly surprised by the FULL drum set and electric guitar solos and a lead singer who didn't sound like Bowie, but more like a karaoke singer. Screaming lyrics to his own version of the songs we wanted to hear. Sadly, we left at intermission because we couldn't take not actually hearing the Symphony , who we came to hear, AT ALL!!!! Oh, and not a single saxaphone in sight. BOWIE PLAYS THE SAXAPHONE!!!!!
A great place! The Woodruff Arts Center is comprised of Atlanta Symphony Hall, the High Museum of Art, and the Alliance Theater. All three are fantastic places. The center often has events, like live jazz Fridays. They also offer free nights to local colleges, and have discounted passes for college students. It's a place that people of all ages can enjoy!
Wonderful to see lovely paintings, sculpture and the like.. Heartily recommend a visit.
Attended Leela James concert at the atlanta symphony orchestra. Small venue perfect not a bad seat in the house ! Loved it !! First time ever going will definitely go again ! Great for a date night or hanging out will friends and family . Only pep peeve I have was people sitting in the the middle row constantly kept getting up and going out . A bit annoying but to be expected I guess lol
Great entertainment venue, fabulous performances. Could use more dining options. Due to private events in the area, I ended up dining, in my evening clothes, at Subway.
Great place to go! All kinds high quality events held there weekly.
Absolutely wonderful location to view art and learn about cultural history.
Delightful first class concert by the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra.
I tried to go on a "free day" but you apparently have to make reservations now due to the Corona. Assuredly, I definitely plan on visiting the museum this month!
The diversity, the music. Overall atmosphere was great
It was great! The staff was professional, well organized, and helpful. The venue is clean and the location has restaurants and the High Museum.
Their free family Sunday programs are a lifesaver. From 1pm-4pm every Sunday, they provide free family programming for young children. On the second Sunday of each month, they provide free admission to the High. This is a high quality art museum that is very accessible for people of all income levels.
I love everything about this place. It is easy to get in and out of. The food offered is nice and the exhibits are diverse and interesting. I have been coming here since childhood and have never been disappointed. The attention to detail is top notch and creates an atmosphere that is second to none.
Loved seeing Home Alone preformed live with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Seeing a live orchestra while watching a movie is something everyone should experience at least once.
Astounding collection, beautiful venue. Awkward parking and the tickets can be a little on the pricey side for a museum though
First time visiting the museum. The Winnie the Pooh exibit was very interesting.
Wonderful Venue with a wonderful staff!! Especially the Box office stafff!!
A beautiful campus full of cultural arts. This is home of the Atlanta Symphony, the Alliance Theater, and the High Museum.
Always a pleasure. Became member of the High Museum is a must. And the shop is also very inviting. Support the best museum in Atlanta.
Ive been here countless times and every time feels new!
Love the exhibits and energy during Second Sunday Funday. It's free to the public every second Sunday of the month.
We got tickets to the Halloween at Hogwarts performance and we very much enjoyed it. I wasn t prepared for the Cinderella part and was a little put off by it but it was a very beautiful performance overall. Both of my daughters enjoyed the show with me as it was very family and kid-friendly! Loved seeing all the different costumes as well. This was my older daughters first live orchestra performance to attend (other than at her school where she performs with the orchestra) and she absolutely loved it! Definitely planning to go back for future performances.
The Woodruff Arts center offers several venues to host any size or genre event. It can accommodate concerts, plays and musical programs as well as church or spiritual gatherings where more than a regular congregation would be comfortable. The staff is very personable and aim to meet your needs.
This was our first visit. Only 2 exhibits were open & the lady at the desk provide no direction for where to go after purchasing our tickets. We didn't realize until later that the other exhibit was outdoors. I would like to come back however, I feel the desk staff should inquire about is it a first visit. She did ask us to sign up as a member. I am not a local residence to visit that often.
It has different variety of artwork with unique touches.
This was so great to go to. I have missed museums since I moved out of NYC. THE High will be an often place that I will visit. Thank you to all the artists, curators, sponsorscomet cleaners, security guards, everybody that takes tickets and answers questions for those of us will get lost
A great place to spend time with loved ones as family & or with school kids to enjoy the plays.
Saw Amos Lee and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. They were great! A+. The other concert goers around us. Not so much. Can someone explain why you would pay to go to a concert to talk through the whole thing?! I'm a Philly girl and came a long way for this concert and it's tainted with disrespectful people that don't think of others before they act.
Beautiful complex. Designed with audio and visuals in mind.
Has a Wonderful auditorium with a beautiful court yard
First time here, the venue is beautiful and the ASO is absolutely incredible!
Location of the High Museum of Art, the Alliance Theater and home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. This is a wonderful cultural resource for the arts right in midtown. I love being able to see the new exhibits at the museum and how it's become a popular filming location for the movies. The ASO is a world class symphony that had been reworking their programs to be more approachable.
Lovely place to attend a concert. sound is great. Not really a bad seat in the house.
Excellent museum of American art. Constantly changing exhibitions.
Went to the high museum on Free family day it was very nice
Saw Kirk Franklin and the show was excellent. Facility was a little warm.
Great event center. The atmosphere and decor are excellent. There is plenty if seating for while you wait around before the show. There is also a bar prior to events which as good drinks, to include a few nice whiskies. Take an Uber if possible because the parking can be tricky, but absolutely a great spot for artsy events.
Had a blast taking my son and a friend of his to see the orchestra play the Harry Potter score live along with the movie
Very good. You need to check on what exhibits are in place & for how long it lasts.
Fantastic symphony, with a modern hall. Great seats throughout the house and polite ushers. Already bought tickets for another performance.
Wonderful Christmas performance by the Atlanta Symphony. Baseline ticket prices were pretty reasonable, but I can't say I'm thrilled to pay extra fees when I visit the box office in person. Can't imagine what the fees are for!?
The best museum in ATL. Always an amazing range of exhibits and great programming for kids and families.
it was clean and very nice but some of the workers were slacking off didnt answer questions and there was no table to eat for a big group of people but it can do much better
Great place for a quiet date night. I love the 3rd Friday of the month jazz or anytime just to see the many exhibits and meet new people.
Symphony hall is fabulous! The orchestra is great! The singers are stellar. Wonderful time.
Truly a local treasure! Been coming here my whole life, the Alliance Theater production of A Christmas Carol is phenomenal. There are so many things to do and see here, highly recommend!
This is a family environment. There is always something to do here. They have toddler Thursdays every week, Jazz Fridays, concerts and plays. I highly recommend this place.
Great place... wonderful views...lots of arts. Will be back with friends.
Went to the High for the Kasuma exhibit, very enthralling and interesting
This was definitely the best art museum I have been to! Beautiful art and it was an experience! I would recommend this museum to anyone!
A great place to visit! I visit few times a year and there is always something interesting to see particularly in seasonal/ temporary exhibits.
Outstanding cultural and event venue. Gr8 parking and easy in & out to freeways.
There was a time when people of all ages could appreciate art from a multitude of perspectives, but ever since smartphones took over, people literally are paying $25-$50+ to gain entry into a art museum just to look at their phone the entire time. Do yourself and everyone else a favour and put your phone away. The High and everything else the Woodruff Arts Center has to offer is brilliant and incredible, you can go on your phone any time, going here is once every blue moon. Instagram: @nilsenio
Great place for the arts. Watched a live podcast show. Multiple bars available for the event. Next to high museum. $$ parking
Had a blast at Star Wars! The orchestra was amazing!
Great place to experience cultures worldwide... just we need to make our world better.
If you been there once you been there enough. Don't get me wrong the museum is okay but the exhibits don't change much.
Interesting collection of artefacts based African culture and countries , nice narration of cultural facts
Beautiful symphony Hall with pianos at the entrance you can sit down and play. Symphonies begin at 8pm with a 20 minute intermission at 9pm. Cell phones are not permitted. Tickets can be gotten the night of the event at the box office inside the symphony Hall. Parking is available on the street or in the parking garage next to the high museum.
Harry Potter was a lot of fun. Can't wait till the symphony does another one.
Wasn t happy that one of the exhibits wasn t included, the mirror rooms! We came al the way to ATL for it. Either way, beautiful museum. Definitely worth a visit if you re into art.
The Coca Cola stage is very very nice and the Alliance Theater performances were first class. Broadway worthy indeed. (I m a New Yorker who has been to quite a few Broadway performances). Bravo!
Always creative family friendly activities going on to inspire your children's creativity.
Highly recommend. Good value for the money. Stop reading and just go!!
world class facility, I went to the 'Making Africa' exhibit, fell more in love with African matters/issues than I already was! can't wait to return for modern contemporary art, civil rights exhibits, so elemental to life!
Love the High! The Phillips collection is a must see for fans of Impressionism. All the favs are there and a few new ones for me!
The Security Team and Box Office rep were all super helpful. They made the visit easy!
Missing the restaurant being closed, but loved all the exhibits!
Great kids programs on the weekend. My kids love the acting classes
Very great. I loved the collections and the spacious gallery. So people do not cramp up. Nice one Georgia
