Nice to be able to see original art work by great artist in Atlanta. Plus it is in downtown Atlanta. With membership parking is not a problem.
Beautiful building. All white interior and exterior. Very great location. Heart of Midtown. The woodruff arts alliance theater is literally next door. They always have a new exhibit. They have great kids activities. They have free admission days as well! Go it's a staple of atlanta!
WOodRuff arts center is truly a blessing to the community. Today was a perfect example of how much is going on at 1 time period. in addition to the high museum of art being open, there was a Symphony performance, a major production in the alliance theater, a family production in the family theater, and I think there was even something going on in the Hertz theater. I love going there because I can always depend on having a wonderful experience that causes me to think.
Loved interactive play area and the arts/crafts workshop for toddlers
Saw a show with my daughter. The seats were comfortable and it sounded great. My only complaint is only half way through the intermission the restroom lines downstairs were incredibly long due to very few stalls in them. The restrooms upstairs are double the size.
My daughter and I love Toddler Thursday at the High. Such a beautiful place for a family outing.
The High Museum of Art (colloquially the High), located in Atlanta, is a leading art museum in the Southeastern United States. Located on Peachtree Street in Midtown, the city's arts district, the High is a division of the Woodruff Arts Center. In 2010 it had 509,000 visitors, 95th among world art museums
AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! INFINITY MIRRORS WAS EVERYTHING I DREAMED OF. The High was closed this day bit they accommodated the exhibit. Can't wait to see it again.
Second time that I came here. This time was better than the last one. I liked the art and the center. The mirror show was great
The comfortable, concert hall functions as an instrument and conveys the complete dynamic range of every performance to your ears. The best seats in the hall for both sound as well as view are in the Loge or dress area (typically $55 - 85) per seat. In the Loge, the person's head in front of you is so far below your field of vision that you have a completely unobstructed view of the stage. Highly recommended for orchestral concerts.
I went 2 classes on October 25th that Alison taught. I have so much respect for Alison on how she gave constructive criticism. This gave me a reason to sign up for other classes.
Thank you Alison!
Parking lot is easy to get to and signage is pretty good around the area. The area itself is open, clean, and well decorated. It has nice places to chill outside on a beautiful day. I've personally only been to the High Museum of Art here but I assume the other stuff is just as good.
Parking can be a little expensive, especially on weekends but there's a lot to do here. If you stay long enough it's worth it.
Amazing place for all art lovers, a must check out spot in the A! Highly recommended to see the Greek status, they are beautiful masterpieces. Great atmosphere and does have a breathtaking touch to alot of artwork. Active, veterans, and reserve military have complimentary entrance and parking, as well as a plus 1 complimentary guest. I truly appreciate your military appreciation, means alot to us.
They always have a great black exhibit displayed here somewhere museum store isna bit pricey tho.
Several exhibits were closed, but the overall experience with the open exhibits was amazing. They had a high school band practicing when I was there and that was both surprising and fun to watch.
Great place to go to get some culture in your life. Entrance is free on the 2nd sunday of each month. Some exhibits don't change often but many do so you can visit a couple of times a year to see new pieces of art.
Every 2nd Sunday with my daughter at the High Museum is a great time. She loves doing the art projects and going into the play areas they have for the children. Parking can be a hassle but I just park in the parking garage across the street from High for just $10 for the day.
Trying to be more of a social gathering place than a art show/museum.
I have never been to a Symphony performance. To see a live orchestra perform it was beautiful! if you are a music lover or want to bring children 7 years or older..I would recommend for the experience. i would go for a nice date.
Such a beautiful gallery. We love the free second Sunday event. They have so many activities for the kiddos!
Went to see Atlanta Symphony screening of the first Home Alone movie
The orchestra played the movie score beautifully. A very special treat for my son Kevin.
Whether going for an evening of theater at the Alliance, a holiday experience at The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra or an afternoon at The High Museum of Art, Woodruff Arts Center is the ideal destination. Named after the Woodruff Family (one of the pivotal founding persons involved in creating Coca-Cola). A great, fun place for families any day. Also the ultimate destination for a classy, adult evening of the Arts.
Came here to see John McLaughlin and was not disappointed. He was incredible and the sound in the main room was wonderful. Seats are situated well so even if you're short, you can see the stage. Drinks are slightly expensive and you are not allowed to take photos or videos which really seems like an outdated rule.
Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrors exhibit. One word: Awesome!!!
Well designed buildings and campus. The staff was friendly.
Joan Baez is fabulous! Great venue! Easy to get there w MARTA
Lovely place to hear a symphony composed of young people visiting from the surrounding regions ...
It was Great/Amazing to attend the Atlanta World Premiere of the Overcomer movie last night!

Our church is using the property

Sundays as they've closed it down
for concerts and the symphony
orchestra . At least they get some
support from us , otherwise covid
shut it down completely .
One of my favorite things to do in Atlanta! Love the rotating exhibits and programs offered. Great spot to bring out-of-town friends for a bit of culture!
The Mayflowee combines luxury and excellence with value, and can accommodate the casual traveller as well as business traveller. The rooms are well maintained and clean, with spacious bedrooms and baths. The Marriott club room is one of the better ones around DC.
Beautiful theater! Very warm and welcoming, with excelent sound and lighting
We saw the beautiful play, "Ever After" at the New Coke-Cola Alliance Theater.
Absolute wonderful visit. Pieces of old world master artists like Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh and others are on display. This is truly a must do if you are into art.
I was only able to visit the High Museum at the Woodruff Arts Center, but it's absolutely beautiful visit! On the second Sunday of every month, they allow free admission into the Museum.
The Museum is split into levels with different themes on each floor; I personally loved their Modern and Contemporary Art level the most, although you'll probably have to wait to take pictures in front of some pieces. Would definitely recommend as a cute date with friends or family!
Absolutely enjoyed our evening at Woodruff! I always have a great experience at this venue. Gregory Porter was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!
Wonderful facility to showcase the ASO. Restrooms inadequate to handle the intermission crowd but you dont go for the potty!
Love the museum. It's really very pretty, and I always am learning something new! The art exhibits are interesting, and there is plenty of information on the pieces if I'm feeling particularly interested in learning something new for the day.
Would be a fun place to go with appreciative friends or a sophisticated date. Could spend easily 2 or 3 hours if you wanted to really explore, or quicker if you wanted to breeze through for a quick tour.
Absolutely beautiful area in the artistic heart of Atlanta.
Always a great visit. Park in the deck or one across the street to avoid Park Atlanta. Great evening events for adults.
Attended "Music for the Very Young" by ATL Symphony. Great program for little ones. My 5 yr old loved it.
What a fantastic experience! There were lots of great works. It's very engaging and thought-provoking
Aside from being exposed once again to communist centered art with Frieda and Diego, the trip was wonderful The Frieda and Diego exhibit was well done but the subject matter leave a great deal to be desired. The undertones of cruelty and socialism were just not my taste. Could have done without going to that part of the museum. Will be glad when it leaves and something better comes into the space.
However, the remaining areas were wonderful. To see some of this art, not just paintings so well displayed was an experience I will long treasure.
Wonderful place to visit. Had so much fun with the kids.
Went with my school and they have some of the most beautiful and unique art pieces. Absolutely loved it. Perfect for adults and kids. Honestly would 10/10 suggest going here at least once in your life. I definitely want to go again one day.
Wonderful place to visit with friendly and and accepting staff. Offerings cover a wide range of tastes.
Enjoyed being at High. The entertainment was great.
The height of elegance, the Woodruff arts center is an Atlanta landmark. Thank you so much to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for supporting our city and giving us fantastic soul moving music. We're truly a lucky City.
This was the first visit for one of my kids and I. My oldest had come before on a school field trip. We decided to try out 2nd Sunday Family Free Day after church. I really enjoyed everything.
The only shocker that could have been advertised more before the Free Day was PARKING. Yes, I saw that parking was available, but they didn't say it would be $16!! WHAT?! Ooookkkk....so I decided to roll around the block in hopes to find street parking and pay the meter. The parking officer so candidly (and kinda rudely) said, "You'll be back." I did in fact end up coming back but not enthused at all. And of course her response to me when she saw us was "I told you you'd be back." Lady, please just take my money so I can park for this so called FREE event.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have minded the parking fee as much if I had known in advance and was prepared. And if the parking lady was nicer about my shock!
So inside was really BIG, clean, and staff was super nice. My kids enjoyed the kids area and I the porcelain displays. I especially enjoyed the high school jazz bands that came out to perform. Great experience for us all.
I gave 5 stars but after remembering that parking debacle I took one back because $16 parking should have been advertised just as much as the event IMO. And the parking lady could have been waaaay nicer about the situation. It was A LOT of people's first time. And if they were like me, just trying to show their kids some culture on a FREE day, $16 was a shocker, cuz that's not free.
Really enjoyed the European Masterworks collection!
Very awesome experience. From bham AL, the drive wasn't that bad. Left early morning and the whole thing took about 3 hours. 3 floors and lots of different things to see.
The Alliance Theater is a very nice place for a play. Saw A Christmas Carol their last night and truly enjoyed it. Very comfortable seats, good atmosphere with restaurants and parking nearby. I hope they have other good events here. A real nice theater.
The Woodruff Arts Center is wonderful! There is always something going on, always something new to do. Check it out!
Lovely concert. Reasonably priced. Easy to get in and out of venue.
Sad that the permanent collection was closed. Their temporary exhibition was interesting that showed more folklore art starting from 1800-2000s. The amatuer artists work showed raw talent and imagery that was very insightful. Loved the storytelling element of the work displayed. The Pooh exhibition was cute and more suited for kids. I was hoping for more backstory on Christopher the author's child the book's protagonist was based on. As documentaries suggest that the father so dynamic was very troubled and Rocky.
We had a good time it was so much for kids to do. They had Dj. Tecknology playing the hottest jams. The cafe has some good food. I plan on going back
This art center has tons of art so your not limited to which kind you can see
Amazing collection of art in the museum. Each floor offers a variety of art in different mediums
Great space to celebrate Atlanta's arts and culture scene. Love visiting the High Museum and spending time in the green space on a sunny day.
Beautiful facility. Great customer service and parking. Excellent theater sound.
Great music performances by the Atlanta Symphony. There is also the Alliance Theatre and High Museum of Art.
Well worth the trip. Great permanent collections with an emphasis on American modern artists.
Great place! My 3 year old really enjoyed Max males a Million stage play.
My wife and I took our LO to Woodruff Arts Center to see the Wizard of oz performance and it was amazing. It is a play designed for young kids and the work is very well done. My 10 months old loved the play, music, actors, everything is really great.
The arts are so interesting and some that aren't. The ones that arent I just pass it shaking my head.
Lovely place. Huge collection of paintings and other artefacts.
There's a lot going on here so you just have to check it out. The Atlanta symphony, high museum of art, Alliance theater, and more. Make your arts center...the Woodruff Arts Center.
Decided to finally get my membership!! Love it here
Saw Jack Septic Eye's show & loved it! Didn't care for the 3 flights of stairs, but they were worth it! The facility was exceptionally clean, & we could easily see from the balcony. Great show, and great outdoor art as well!
Beautiful place, loved the location! The Infinty Mirrors exhibit was quite impressive too!
