Good pastas and good service skip dessert nothing new or impressive

Everything is a la carte. They don't give you anything with your meal...like salad or soup. Prices can be high. Nice happy hour

Top shelf white wine @$12/glass was served WARM. I originally requested pumpkin pie martini. They were out of pumpkin pie liquor. As such, I went with Santa Margarita. Again, served warm. My husband and I are regular patrons. We have NEVER been offered as much as a glass of WATER! It's the holidays. How about extending holiday cheer to your regular customers.

They serve a mean drink. Good wait staff and very friendly. Everyone make you feel at home.

Great atmosphere wonderful food and great bar. Pleasant dining room. Excellent micro brewery. Very courteous wait staff. Definitely will go again.

I give this place 3 stars because they are super over priced. 2 steak is over 80$? Plus... steak was OK. But.. before.. I got other food.. and it was one of the best food I've tried in last 2 years. So.. it's 3,5 stars I would say.

I went here Saturday January 27th had the NY strip oscar which was $27 and the steak was good except there was almost none of it to enjoy, the mashed potatoes were cold and it said it came with asparagus and it did except there were only 2 pieces. The front desk service was awful, the girls at the front desk took 3 minutes to even acknowledge me standing there as they talked about other bad customers, and we would of got a seat earlier accept we had to wait an extra 10 minutes because there were a shortage of menus. The brewed light ale was good but not 6 dollars for a short glass. Good food but no good quantity of it, good beer but expensive, and awful service.

Did their outdoor dining during COVID last weekend. The food was as good as usual, just like the regular dining in. Staff was masked up and we observed them doing a thorough job of sanitizing between guests, which is appreciated. Not as many of their own brews on tap as usual but enjoyed the pilsner and IPA.

Artisan's has a great ambience for a semi-formal dining experience, recommended for romantic, business, or larger family/friends gatherings. They have an excellent beer & cider collection, even brewing their own (the red beer is the house specialty I believe). The food is of that newer have American/Italian and I've definitely had some nice dishes but I would say it's not as premium as I considered it was a few years ago. They offer really good specials on a daily basis during the week, very informative website will let you know the latest!

I am a local to the Toms River Artisan's and have to say my husband and I love it here. We have had a few parties in the party room as well and can honestly say we have never had a bad experience. The salads are amazing, the beer is fresh, and overall the food is good. The wait staff is friendly making for an overall great experience.

Great to get out again for a nice meal and atmosphere. I really enjoyed all the American Flags.

Artisans never disappoints. From the lamb perogies to the the classic cheeseburger the food tastes phenomenal. We were going to have our baby shower here but couldn't due to CoVid but they were able to tentatively reschedule us for the fall! Can't wait until we can dine in there again !!

Had a lovely party for my dad;s 90th birthday party. The private room is great...nicely decorated, great setup, etc. The food was very good, and prices reasonable for the quality and quantity. The options for liquor were also quite reasonable. We offered consumption basis for wine, beer (brewed directly at Artisans) and sangria. They set it up as a station and only replenished when finished. I very much appreciated that they didn't push it onto guests to drive up costs. They worked with me on securing that specific room even though our party was smaller than the minimum (we had 44 adults), which I very much appreciated since we wanted the extra space to set up photos, dancing etc. My only two negatives (and why I didn't do 5 stars) are 1) their standard is 3 hours, not 4. I felt a bit rushed. You can get the room longer, but they charge a pretty high fee. With that being said, when we started to at least start to wrap it up in time, they didn't nit pick about going over a few I do think at least 3.5 to 4 should be standard like other places; 2) The internet was very shaky, which put a big damper on our playlists (brought both Alexa and an internet speaker) I was warned a couple days ahead that the internet was spotty but it was too late at that point to hire DJ. We had to run the music through a laptop without great quality or sound, and couldn't use Alexa as planned to play through instruction certain songs at certain times. All in all, I would definitely use it again for a private event Oh and for dinner too. Try their Sunday pasta for I think $13 and bottles of wine (good ones) for $15. Good deal!

I've never had a bad meal here. Try the pasta fagioli soup--excellent! Their tomato sauce is perfect! Their pasta dishes are flawless, and the spinach pie is textbook! I highly recommend.

1st time visit. Bar was good as well as the microbrews. Food was just ok. A little disapointed.

Artisan's hosted our son's communion celebration this past weekend. The staff was very attentive to our needs, the party room was perfectly set up, and the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family and I would consider Artisan's for our future parties.

Very limited menu. Food was good, but not anything to write home about. Prices though were pretty high for the amount & quality of food. I would go back, but unfortunately just cant justify the cost.

Specials are a great price. But the roast beef was just sliced deli meat. Our waiter was a pleasure though

Great experience. Service was spot on. Food was delicious. We had chicken parm, fresh and tender -a tad salty but still great-, Shrimp scampi, delicious, and a swiss cheeseburger. Dessert was baklava, creme brulee, and berries with cream. All outstanding. Def a great time.

Food is good. Prices are fair. Beer and wine menu is top notch! Can get crowded. Service is friendly but slow at times. Ample parking. Nice decor.

It was a nice outside dining area but it started to rain lightly and the umbrellas were just a bit to small. The food was excellent. Would recommend to everyone in the mood for a good meal. A little on the pricey side. 2 people just food soda and water. $102 including the tip.

This is one of the few restaurants in this town that actually cooks all of the food to order. It's not only fresh but delicious too! They are a brewery too, which is very rare for this area...and the wine selection is full of choices! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff is friendly and quick on their feet. They also have specials each day of the week! I will deff be a frequent costumer!

Low quality food, odd smell, and blender or vacuum sound was annoying.

When tallying up my tab I found that too much was added for a tip. We were a party of 8 and the checks were divided into parties of 2. So if you add up all the tips, she made 26% on the entire table and yes it equated out to tipping on the tax. I told the waitress there was a mistake and she retrieved a dumpy looking "manager" who was arguing with me that I was wrong. ARGUING WITH ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DINING AREA. So professional. Then she conceited and redid my tab and I can see and hear all the wait staff whining at the register that it was not fair....HEY MORONS, I CAN HEAR YOU. The food was mediocre at best. Manager was dumpy and rude. Not worth the money.

From the decor to the food to the beer and specialty drinks everything was outstanding. The food is made fresh and the beer is brewed right on the premises. We arrived there 8/24 and were a party of 4. Our server Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable about the specials. I ordered the filet mignon and it literally melted in your mouth. My friend ordered the eggplant parm and that tasted very authentic. We also had the balsamic calamari and me brussel sprouts with delectable honey glaze and bacon. I had the beer sampler and the rest of the table got a bottle of wine. Overall it was a very welcoming experience and I can't say enough about the decor. A real touch on the experience.

Food was not good. Beer was below average. Wouldn't go again.

Below average service. Couldn't get ground pepper after ordering a $35 steak (which was dry and over cooked). I can understand overcooking a rare steak to medium, but I don't get that they can't bring fresh ground pepper.

The service here is solid real good ask for Eddie. This establishment has to be one of better quality ones in this area. Bring a stack of cash. Food was good makes me long for the old time Italian places in Staten Island.

We came here on Valentine's Day for dinner. The waiter made excellent recommendations and the food was amazing! We'll definitely be back.

How are you "out of" chicken marsala or chicken scarpiello? How do you not serve bread with olive oil, or serve an a la carte salad AFTER the entree? Food was tasty, pricing reasonable- but too many service guffaws.

Great season cocktails and the bartender makes a delicious bloody Mary!

The food was actually quite good but wehad to wait over anhour to get it even though the place was practically empty. The manager just gave us an attitude when we tried to ask about the status of the food. The waitress was actually quite nice and friendly, but because of the poor management I will not be back.

Our trips here have always been pleasant! The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. The drinks are superb. They have a brewery on site and a huge selection of wines. You won't regret your visit!

This is a mixed review. While the food is good the service has some serious issue's. We were sat then two other tables sit behind us 30 minutes later we are still waiting to have our drink order taken.. finally my wife goes to the hostesses and someone finally shows up at the table. Sje says" im sorry you don't know how our restaurant works" im pretty sure no one told her she had another table and she was not only working that room... the server that was in our room walked padt us 3x times in 30 minutes didn't say a word just kept on moving..

This restaurant is great, simply the best. Service is soooooo good. 2nd time there and better than 1st.

Service was great, so was the atmosphere and location. I was hoping for better food and entrees were average at best. I love wheat beers and Hefenweisen and also found theirs just average, even a bit flat. There were some other positives: their wings were incredible, I wish I had another order instead of my entree! Also, their Oktoberfest brew impressed, very well balanced, tasty! I would go back for a casual bar bite, not a sit down meal.

Excellent food. The chef cooks everything from scratch and the taste is always above and beyond expectations. Love the atmosphere ...very warm and friendly.

TLDR
Thomas was an awesome server.
Appetizers: brussel sprouts and honey jumbo wings.

Let men start by saying that Thomas was our server and he was phenomenal. Brought everything out on time and didn't miss anything.
We had a group of 5 and everyone loved everything. The brusel sprouts is a great appetizers and would recommend it to anyone. We had vegetarians in our group and they made it bacon free without a problem.
The wings were really good. The Buffalo ones were perfectly fried although they were missing a little bit of Buffalo sauce. The blue cheese was one of the better ones as well.
Now the jumbo honey wings are one of the best appetizers ever. They are not too sweet, big, and chicken is really good without any fat parts (wings enthusiasts will understand & appreciate).

It really appeared to be another ocean county chain restaurant when I noticed open faced turkey on what s supposed to be an Italian menu and the lack of any pasta dishes on the lunch menu. If you re going to do burgers and chicken wings then why the Italian decor? It certainly wasn t what I expected. The pasta dish I ordered (off the specials menu that was not included with our initial menus)was neither good nor bad and certainly not made by anyone Italian. The sauce was watered down making the whole dish flavorless. I was really not clear as to why you have well-dressed wait staff and the appearance of a fine Italian dining restaurant but then have a TGIF menu. I can t see any reason to return so it was a one and done for me. Their burgers are what appears to be 5oz patty s and go for about $15. Unacceptable. The last thing to know is if you ask for oil with your bread they will bring you the two bottles of oil and vinegar that you would get with the salad. Someone needs to introduce a little culture to the staff and when asking for oil you usually get a seasoned olive oil for dipping, not salad dressing.

Never got to eat. Surrounded by big screen Fox News channel. Ruined appetite. Literally ANY other channel. What are you thinking?

It's hard for me to understand the reviews I'm seeing that are positive. Went with friends last night, and everything was mediocre at best -- iced tea that tasted like water, a $22 dinner special that didn't have flavor, a burger with bacon added to increase the bill when we noted we'd rather not have it. Everything was a salt bomb. The only food that had great flavor was the broccoli with garlic and olive oil. It's hard to mess that up! Our waitress, while nice, was preoccupied with a table that she knew, so we were never even asked how our meals were. We were hungry, so we ate, but we will not be returning. Disappointing all around!
