Great place for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and camping. Make sure to see the lookout. I did not catch any fish since it was raining. They charge 13$ per day for extra car parking in the campsite.

The most bizarre little mice hopping over your feet at night by the fire. Shine a light into the bush and wow...they re all over the place! The campsites are some of the largest and most private we ve ever camped at. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Definitely will become a regular destination for us.

As noted by others, this is a great park for camping but their firewood is so wet it won't burn. Been making fires for over 50 years and this is the worst firewood I've ever bought - taking our 2nd bag back for a refund in the morning and asking them who sells actual firewood locally. Maybe if they sold seasoned wood they wouldn't have such a problem with everyone bringing in their own and risking insect damage spreading.

Park is nice but the sites are tough to get into with a 24ft travel trailer. The sites are listed for trailers this size but there is very little space to back up and maneuvre the trailer in. You can get in with the help of someone guiding but it is difficult. They are OK for people experienced in backing a large trailer up. But of you arent you are better to find a larger site with lots of room to get in.

Excellent local park for skiing, camping, canoeing, skating, snowshoeing, swimming and any other outdoor activities for both summer and winter. The staff are friendly and the views are spectacular. The park is a nice, open space and many valuable programs are offered, from ski classes to skijoring. A must visit if you're looking for an authentic outdoor experience.

A superb park with excellent programs for all ages and fitness level. Arrowhead's advantage is not being over-crowded so you really get the feeling of being part of our glorious landscape.

Great place to come in the winter. We come up almost every year. If you can, come during the week as the weekend can be extremely busy and it can be quite a wait to get into the park then a long walk to get to the skating trail.

We arrived at a good time. The fall colours were just coming into their own and the crowds were kept to a minimum. The trails were easy and scenic. There were a couple of trails closed due to maintenance that seemed to be slow on the maintenance. I actually picked up a lot of downed limbs and trees myself.

Park is good for camping and day visit. Hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, biking are the main activities in Arrow Head park. Scenic view from Big Bend lookout point and cascade waterfall. Bring canoe kayak or bike your kids never say it's boring. Camp sites have power outlets. Washrooms also provided. Wild turkey, beaver and many birds welcome visitors.

Terribale experience, during the day all you hear is the highway, during the night all you hear is the highway and honking and a really loud non stop trains. I was suppose to stay Monday to Thursday but I left Wednesday. I drove 2 hours just to listen to mother nature but got slapped with dissatisfaction and disappointment. Way too many bugs and the raccoons are the size of medium dogs that open your tent while you sleep. Pretty much if your going tent camping choose a different place . It was my First and last time in this park. Way over rated. I don't recommend this park to tent campers at all. I put one star because there isn't a half star rating. The fire wood does not come with a fire starter, they are sold separately. My dog even wanted to go home the first night. I live in the city and my backyard is quieter then Arrowheard camp ground.

Camped at Arrowhead for two days. It was a little on the colder side but the beach was still really enjoyable. We were shocked at how few people were at the beach during peak hours (12pm to 3pm). Our site (82) was well kept and the only complaint I have is that the fireplace was a little too high (warmth of the fire had trouble getting out of the pit unless I built a big fire).

Arrowhead Provincial Park is one of my favorite camp ground in Ontario. You must come here to visit. This provincial park is very busy during summer, esp long weekend. I went there with my friends and dogs, we all had a great time. My friends went fishing and I went hiking with my dog. The hiking trail is very long and challenged at some part. I hope I can come back again.

Amazing park there are so many sights to see here . Beautiful nature everywhere you look and a lot of walking trails to enjoy. The staff are very nice and accommodating and they have awesome sites that are almost in little groups of 4 or 5 sites in one . Very nice park I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great time camping !!

Stayed at Lumby.
DOG FECES on the site discovered as pitching tent.....after leaving realized the tent was actually ON DOG POOP!
Absolutely disgusting! Glad we were not with children or our own pets who may have played in any of the areas where it was.
Dog owners seem to be irresponsible:
Not making sure to pick up....dogs walking around camp roads with no leash at all; also some on leash but dragging it
...one dragging its leash even jumped into our car while we were getting something out: a big german shepherd!!

It was very hot & everywhere smelled like baking dogpee.
I am not a dog hater....love them! Just not a dog owner..
..but do hate inconsiderate dog owners.
Your dog or its droppings & pee is not welcome on my campsite!
Despite the things we liked about this park we will never go back.
There should be sites where dogs are not allowed so they are kept dog pee & feces free.

Overall it is a beautiful place but way too many dogs......should have to wear diaper just like human toddlers.

We hiked the trails & found markers & signs to be confusing & inconsistant.

The shower was enough to sandblast the dirt off......way too much pressure!

I love this provincial park but this year it seems a bit disorganized. They're switching around the park stores to their new building at beach 2 but the transition is pretty bumpy. Quiet and great for families - the fishing this week was not great but there's a ton of small and large mouth Bass in Arrowhead lake. I'm still chasing trout in Mayflower lake but the chase is definitely fun! One complaint: we have a large camper and get a serviced pull through site, however the water tap is not threaded to hook your hose up to.

Absolutely loved every minute I spent here. The park is large enough to have lots of places to explore but not so large that you feel lost in it. The bicycle trails are awesome but you might want to bring a seat pad because the hills and bumps and can leave you feeling quite sore. The sinage was on point, so very little chances of getting missing here. The visitor centres are well maintained with clean bathrooms and cool water. I think my only regret was not spending enough time here. The lake cool and just wonderful to be in. Definitely a great place to visit if you're in the area!

Arrowhead is a beautiful park. Would absolutely return.
Only thing that was a turn off. We are fall camping and They closed all the outhouses and have to drive to the comfort stations or a 15 minute walk.. and the water fill-up stations are closed so you have to go and fill up at the comfort station

Not a big problem,,. But would have been nice to know before doing the quick step to the outhouses only to find out it's closed and ya have to do the shuffle walk...lol. To the comfort station...lol

I had a good memory of the great nature and wildlife of Arrowhead so I picked this park again this year. Unfortunately the experience was very different this year.
They charge a premium pricing and couldn't get their toilets working. All their "comfort stations" and toilets where locked during the long weekend and no warden was around at night.
Mother nature's work aside, in the past 3 years I haven't had any good experience with Ontario parks.

Lovely park, worth exploring in the winter too... tons to do. Went in Sept last year and the bugs were surprisingly brutal for that time of year. Campsites aren't stacked on top of one another which is awesome. Usually a back country camper but this was a great place for car camping. Friendly staff, clean, quiet.

Well-kept campgrounds with plenty of space (stayed in Lumby North). Beach areas were pretty good and the new visitor center is really nice! When I camp usually like to go hiking and Arrowhead has plenty of trail options which I loved, although some of them aren't as well traveled because they're longer and not the best for young children (Beaver Meadows especially).
Overall had an awesome time camping here, would definitely go back.

Great park with some nice hikes. Only issue was that the bugs (mosquitoes and black flies) were just horrible at this time of year (late June). Nothing park can do about that but a warning for anybody planning to go up then. Also check process needs to be streamlined when it gets busy despite it not being the high season.

Second time I've visited arrowhead provincial park and it's absolutely magical. This year we went and the skating wasn't open yet but that didn't matter to us! Snowshoeing was just as Fun, so many laughs as you're trying to walk in the huge shoes. Definitely worth a visit! Make sure to make it more than a day trip to get in more excursions.
