The sushi is ALWAYS half price and you have the option of soy paper instead of seaweed. The service is fairly quick and courteous. This is the Sunday morning roll, one of their Many specialty rolls. The ambiance is nice and relaxing.

The place is very good excellent food but the racist attitude of the receptionist named "Sarah" dulls the place her attitude was not good we asked for the table and she told us that there was no place we had to wait 2 hours when there were empty tables, but fortunately We met restaurant staff and called him and he said that if there were empty tables and the receptionist made faces in such a fine place, people with that attitude shouldn't work

The first few times I went here it was amazing. The last two times I went I got food poisoning though.
To be fair I shouldn't have come back a week later after the first time, but I thought it could've been a one time thing.

The octopus is VERY hit or miss, the last time I immediately spit it out, it tasted very very old

ITS OK , THE SUSHI I WONT TRY RAW I ALWAYS GET IT FRIED BECAUSE I DONT THINK THIS PLACE IS SANITARY ENOUGH FOR "RAW" SUSHI, BESIDES ITS MEXICANS MAKING THE SUSHI. LOL BESIDES THE FRIED RICE IS GREAT, SERVICE IS INDEED BAD , AND IF YOU COME IN A GROUP OF 4 OR MORE 18% GRATUITY WILL BE ADDED ON.

We went on a Saturday evening and there was no wait for 2. My husband and i ordered a few sushi rolls and calamari for appetizer. The rolls were pretty good. Good for half price. But the calamari was the worst we ever had. It was huge pieces of overcooked squid. Don't order the calamari!

This is doubtless one of the best place to eat in the region. Every time I visit this place I am greatly satisfied. They maintain their high standard service and the highest level of meals they give. You no doubt will love this place. Very recommended.

Aroma has some very decent and cheap sushi! They have a decent draft beer selection and drink specials in general. We had really attentive service too. The atmosphere is the only thing lowering my rating. The booths are just thinly veiled springs. But I'd definitely eat here again.

Prices we're great sushi didn't seem very fresh but the main problem I had was that I was almost completely ignored the entire time i was there. Ordered ice tea no sugar on the table waited 10 min to ask for sugar then just got up and got it myself because i was never checked on no silverware no napkins and didn't get asked if my food was ok untill i had 3 pieces of sushi left. In my opinion go to a place where they actually care about your experence!!!

Went for carry out. There is certainly a lack of good Asian restaurants in this area after the closing of Kanpai in Blue ash.
Aroma is a decent compromise. It doesn't quite achieve the same quality but fills the void

SO tasty and SO affordable. My husband and I have been at least five or six times and we marvel at our check every time. We only ever get the half-price sushi, and it never disappoints. If you are a food snob wanting sushi from Japan, fine. But if you are a resident of Cincinnati looking for a great date and delicious sushi without breaking the bank, dine here!!! Don't just order off the half-price sushi paper: use the menu! All the sushi is half off, and the dragon roll is our favorite.

Ive eaten here many times in the past two years. Although I've never had bad food here, service could be a hit or a miss.
BUT, two days ago we had a new server Named Maurice. He was great, & gave us some of the best service we've ever had there!
Things seem to be improving here at Aroma.

Very clean, modern restaurant conveniently located next to Nordstom outside Kenwood Mall.

The chicken teriyaki was excellent. The flavors was perfect and came out piping hot on a bed of nicely seasoned vegetables. Very nice portion size.

The sushi looked like a work of art and tasty. They have many varieties of sushi on menu for you to chose from. I spotted the creme bruelle on the menu for dessert but I so full I will need to try that next time.

The staff was excellent....making this an all around win!

So things may have changed because this was nearly a year ago. I think it was around last fall when I went. The food was so terrible I started to write a review right there while sitting at the restaurant but my phone lost signal and the review was never posted. This was legitimately the worst sushi I've ever had and I've been eating sushi for 10 years and love trying new places. Here's my story:

We ordered three or four rolls, I know for a fact that one of them was tuna and another was supposed to be salmon. However when the sushi came out there was litteraly no fish on my sushi! I'm not joking, I really wish I was. All three or four rolls, no actual fish. They all had a "sea food mix" on them; you know the pinkish-orange colored pasty pate type of stuff that's is some times put on top of sushi. The best way I can describe the look of it is it was kind of similarly to what a crab roll looks like. (I'll attach a picture of a crab roll just for a visual.) All of the sushi's had the exact same mix on them! Even though each one was "supposedly" a completely different sushi with completely different fish on them. While it had a similar appearance and consistency of crab salad, that's were the similarities stop, because crab salad is delicious and what ever this stuff was was anything but. It was overpoweringly salty and pungent. I could compare the flavor to a few very distasteful things but I'm sure you can imagine without the details.

Needless to say I spat it out into my napkin and I'm a woman who normally wouldn't do that in public so you know it was bad! I tried every roll on the table and the same exact taste and reaction! My boyfriend's face recoiled after his bite as well, and he's the type who normally powers through even the worst of foods. Both of us are sushi lovers and connoisseurs and we were equally revolted by this "sushi" if you can even call it that.

So to summarize, there was no actual fish on our sushi, instead they used so fake seafood mix which was probably pretty close to rancid and definitely on my top ten list of worst things I've ever eaten! We didn't even eat our sushi, we hastily asked for our check and the server looked baffled and asked if we wanted a to go box and we very firmly protested with a hardy "No". We got the check and got the heck out of dodge. Sure we could have complained and asked for our money back but neither one of us is normally the type to cause a scene and I know they would have gotten the manager and then they would have tried to say there was nothing wrong with the sushi and who needs the drama, right?

Long story short, I wouldn't wish this place onto my worst enemy and we will never go back and I'd strongly recommend that my friends don't either! (Only thought about this place because we went past and it was like a bad flashback of foods past!)
