Although not quite what we expected on the hotel side, everything was v clean and the food was good. Was rather disappointed with the signage for parking. We arrived on a dark wet evening, and the signage was v hard to read and follow .
However we found the staff very helpful and friendly. When we returned home we found we had left a bag behind. We immediately phoned the hotel, and after a search couldn't find it. The next morning we received a call to say it had been found, along with all its contents. So many thanks.

I only went to play golf really. The course is not long but has some challenging holes, in very good condition and very pleasant setting. The hotel looks good and lunch was fine. The Spa seems very popular, I will go back and try to sample all it has to offer.

Room quite large but the sealant around the bath/shower could do with replacing and the tiles rerouting - the only fault we could find. The good points bed linen and bed very comfortable plus good quality toiletries. The food was excellent and I have Gluten and nut free and nothing was too much trouble. The pool and hot tub not overcrowded even though the hotel was fully booked. We had read the drinks were expensive and we thought at 6.95 for a cocktail was fair. We will definitely be going back when the offer is on again. To the waiter who made our perfect Black Russians - you're a star xxx

My siblings & I recently spent our Easter break at Ardencote. We had a beautiful experience. It was very nice & relaxing to use the spa facilities. Very nice & helpful staff members & excellent food, acres of land to walk around & digest your meals. I would definitely plan to return to this place. I would also like to thank the staff for making our stay at Ardencote a memorable one.

This is a 5 star review for the conference and dining facilities. The room was well equipped and right next to the stunning lake and fountain. Found myself melting away with my thoughts to the peaceful trickle of water and view of the manicured gardens in the sunshine.
The food and hospitality was very good indeed and with that in mind I'd certainly consider a weekend stay.

We visited for a package which included a cream tea, dinner, bed breakfast and use of the spa facilities. Unfortunately we arrived 15 minutes too late for our cream tea and there was no way the staff were going to offer any leeway on this or even just the tea! The evening meal was lovely and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us which was obviously an improvement on the reception staff. Breakfast was also nice. The big issue though, which would prevent any of our party returning or recommending the hotel, is the fact that you cannot use the spa facilities on the day of checkout. We had all been at work on the Friday and were looking forward to chilling out on the Saturday but despite staying at countless hotels who offer this service the duty manager refused point blank to allow us to stay. The facilities were far from busy and we all found the duty manager's attitude to be patronising and negative. The contrast between the restaurant staff and front of house was huge. I would give 10/10 to the restaurant 0/10 for front of house and no return or recommend from us.

Found this place on secret escapes. Took my husband for his birthday. Amazing experience with overnight stay. Firstly it was a bargain and secondly it was the best spa ever. Nothing has beaten champneys tring until now. The service was brilliant the afternoon tea served like we were royalty and evening meal just as good. Cant fault it. We went in october so a little grey but i can picture how gorgeous this place would be in the summer. Just 10mins from warick castle. Beautiful grounds and ambiance. Will definetly go back.

Last minute break. For a much needed rest. We went on a really hot day and the outside pool was amazing, sitting in the sun until late evening. The room was comfortable and air conditioning was a god send. We had 3 course meal for evening dinner and again was really nice and free bottle of wine. Full English in morning. This secret escape deal was well worth the money and we will be returning and we have recommended to our friends and family.

I booked this as a surprise for my husband's 50th birthday as he's had to work the whole of the pandemic, I was expecting 4 star luxury, I recieved 2 star at best! We arrived and entered our room which looked nothing like the website. The website hasn't been updated since the lockdown, it states in the room there are tea and coffee facilities of which there were none, this could have been substituted with bottled water. The bathroom had absolutely no body washes, shampoo etc. I have never had this in a 4 star facility. There may be a pandemic but this is unacceptable especially as these are disposable. Dinner was a joke, we ordered and didn't get the sides which were on the menu. We went to pay and were charged for someone else's drinks. Then we were asked when we were going to book breakfast which we had already done earlier on in the day. The website should be updated in accordance for the pandemic and not advertise things that aren't supplied. I am really disappointed and this has ruined what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

All their suites not worth the money unless you get their 'Bridal Suite' which cannot be booked specifically as they consider it in the same category, which is the only room they have that is shown in all their advertising images - the rest are standard rooms with a feature bed but with the same high price tag! Shame they don't tell you this before booking.

They don't state this anywhere prior to ordering and given they're all the same price you'd expect all of them to reflect their advertising.

In our 'standard suite' we were squashed into a room taken up by massive eaves, the 'lakeside view' only visible by cricking your neck to look out the window nearly around the corner through a tree you see a small square of lake! They consider a 'separate lounge' area justified by being just 1 warddrobe width away from your bed!

Their staff were polite and courteous, the meals were lovely but the room was a massive disappointment and sold on 'Del-boy' technicalities.

It's a hotel a bit outside the hectic city of Birmingham, stylish with a golf course, a nice bar und good and friendly service.

It is also old and the room door had to be opened and closed with extra force as it always got stuck on the carpet.

Positive however, they offered a USB connection inside the room to charge your mobile devices.

Negative we felt the perceived early closing of the outside facilities of the bar.

Lovely hotel in massive grounds. Great spa. Indoor and outdoor pool, which we even got to use in March and do some outdoor sunbathing as weather was so nice. Outdoor hot tub (under cover) and loungers. Indoor pool, lots of loungers, jacuzzi and steam and sauna room. Relaxation rooms also. Dinner was amazing! Would highly recommend.

Disappointed to say the least!

Disappointed to say the least!

After waiting to stay here for the best part of two months, having bought the retreat for my girlfriend as a valentines gift, we were very excited that our turn had arrived and that we would finally be able to relax and enjoy the benefits of the very well known Ardencote Manor Hotel.

Arrival.
We arrived for our Secret Sunday Escape at circa 1:30pm Sunday afternoon, eager to tuck into the 3 course lunch we had booked in for at 2:00pm.

Dining.
When we were promptly seated at 2:00pm I was very happy and my girlfriend appeared to be so too, we were handed menus which, down to the date meant we were dining with a lot of families as it was Mother s Day, my only hold up with this is that it meant that we were choosing from a set menu which in my past experiences has meant that food is pre cooked as apposed to being cooked to order, somewhat of a production line if you must. The soup came out and credit where it s due, was ok, a little un seasoned if anything. Then the Pork loin main meal came out and as my fears were confirmed, the pork was dry and the rest was luke warm, like it had been sat under a heat lamp with about 20 others. My fears were further confirmed when the lady sat on the table next to me in fact asked for her meal to be removed from their table as it was also cold and un appetising. The desert was good. Throughout our dining experience I pondered what the conservatory eating hall reminded me of, then it struck me, an old people s home! with it being very warm and quite drab this is what came into to my head.

Room.
After lunch we went to our room at 4:00pm, in line with the Check In process, once we got into our room the last thing I thought of was 4 star accommodation, perhaps back in the 90 s or early 00 s but certainly not by 2019 s standards, noticed that the DOUBLE bed is in fact two single beds pushed together and then my attention was drawn to the fact that the room was very warm, we didn t want to hang about so we went to the spa.

Spa/Leisure Club.
The pool was ok, small if anything. The Jaccuzi had a Chlorine high PH balance which caused the eyes to sting after one cycle of the jets being turned on and it also caused excessive surface bubbles much like that of a bubble bath. After spending the best part of 3 and a half hours there we then retired to our room.

Room 2.0.
After returning to the room I thought that it would certainly have cooled off since we left the best part of 3 and a half hours ago but to my dissatisfaction, this was not the case. The room temperature was now at 25.8 Degrees Celsius (very uncomfortable) which made the pair of us feel very lethargic, I couldn t believe that after setting the air conditioning to 15 Degrees Celsius that there was still more than a difference of 10 degrees being registered! The lowest the room got to through the night was 25.2 Degrees Celsius. After being awake for so long I eventually nodded off just because I was now exhausted from fighting with the heat for so long. Sadly my girlfriend still couldn t get off to sleep so decided to go down to reception to see what could be done. My girlfriend was kindly shown another room in the same block that was available if we wanted to move that was self regulating at 21 Degrees Celsius but she declined as it was circa 1:30am in the morning and I had finally nodded off. My girlfriend returned to our room and just battled with it until she too finally nodded off at about 3/4am.

Breakfast.
Breakfast was very good, I have zero complaints here. The self service style buffet is very effective.

Room 3.0.
Upon returning to our room to pack after our breakfast I became increasingly annoyed to now see that the room was at 24.7 Degrees Celsius! In the daytime or room was cooler than at night time?!?!

Check Out.
The two young girls at reception were very polite but sadly all they could say for our troubles is that the heat issue will be looked in to.

Disappointed and underwhelmed.

We came for a one night spa retreat and found the facilities a little worn around the edges. There was hair hanging from the sauna roof where people had hit their head.

The room is a good size although our bed is two single beds pushed together! There is mould in the bathroom, the teapot was dirty and a cupboard door is broken...

Our hot rock massage was fantastic and the masseuse was very professional.

Buffet lunch was acceptable if a little bland but the braised lamb at their lodge restaurant was cooked to perfection.

All in all I can't say that we will be returning, there are plenty of other options.

Almost excellent. Visited for my wife's birthday. Pool, sauna, meal and room. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Great location. Pool area was great and very clean. Staff need in my opinion more training. Was greeted with a hiya from a receptionist that was not even looking at us. Too long to wait for room to be ready 3:20. Meal service was very cold, zero charm and no checking the quality, or asking if we needed anything. Plus food was delivered too quick and moved onto next course with military efficiency. Spa receptionist gave no details about anything and offered no service whatsoever. 4 star should be better.

I was booked for a day spa. I loved the facilities! Especially an outdoor hot tube and pool. Buffet lunch was also lovely (pudding not so much but maybe I'm too fussy). I also had a back massage which was ok, not the most relaxing one as it was deep tissue but I do feel less tension now. Only shame you can't stay for a bit longer after the massage and relax on a heated bed. My advice is bring another swimsuit for change and your own pool slides as the ones you hire soak quickly and it's not too pleasant to wear them after coming out of the hot tube etc when they are soaked and cold. Overall I can recommend Ardencote. Just before booking ask how exactly looks your treatment like because it might not meet your expectations on the day.
