I always think I'm going to love a show when I go to the Arden, but it's pretty hit or miss. They're well established as a company but their vision is pretty limited and culturally lack diversity.

Productions at the Arden are always high quality and they are not afraid to bring shows that are thought-provoking, and deal with themes such as social justice, racial inequity, equality, and more. I've seen a dozen or more shows at the Arden, including most recently My General Tubman; but also Ragtime, 74 Seconds to Judgement, Treasure Island, and I have never been disappointed. meteted parking around the theater can be hard find and lots are expensive. However, its an easy walk to the bus and subway. The Arden is one of my favorite theaters in Philly.

Amazing final dress rehearsal performance at the Arden. Pay what you wish for the final dress rehersal, a bit if a wait for tickets that aren't guaranteed, but it was cool. It's a nice little theater with a very versatile stage, and potentially nearly all around seating.

Seems like always a good performance. Thought provoking. Good acting. Good direction. Small theatres bring you close to the stage. All at very good prices. We are subscribers year after year.

A very welcoming, cozy and we managed theatre. I love the announcement at the beginning of the show. Good marketing. Saw Tony Morrison's The Bluest Eyes. Adaption from the novel. Brilliant brilliant directing. Making the harsh, dirty moments so pure and transcending. Hats off to the director !

Nothing has ever made me feel like this. Time froze. I was on the edge of my seat at times grabbing my heart, at times wiping my nose, at times looking up to breathe. Nothing has ever made me feel like this and I know (and I hope not) it would be a long time before I ever see something like this again. This production, this adaptation, this bringing to life of a masterpiece with an all black cast infuses you with a complexities of emotions, aesthetic responses at any single moment, a fleeting moment that lasts longer than they are supposed to be, that hangs mid-air your heart, your brain, whatever you have brought here with you tonight to offer to the stage.

What I'm trying to say is, for other productions, you will feel certain things at certain times: this moment you feel wonder, this moment you feel pain, this moment you feel regret or joy, but with this production, what I experienced was so so rich; it was a multitude of you-name-its, happened and infused your whole being in any given moment. It was rich, so so rich in truths in history in humanity. It was way beyond me and it took me over.

I have to catch my breath writing this to you. I love the show, very much.

Seeing black souls giving voices to their stories shook me to the core.

Wonderful theater company performing both a regular season of classics and new plans and a children's season in a modern two stage venue in a historic part of old Philadelphia. The Arden makes excellent contributions to Philadelphia's live performance scene. We have seen many plays here over the years from both their mainstage and children programs, and recently attended the surprising and amazing Charlotte's Web. Highly recommended. The Arden also works with the community to bring low income children to performances and has a drama school for kids.

I took a quick trip to the theater while in town and found this to be a fantastic experience! So well done! My Uber dropped me off at the Arden Theater building down the block so be careful about finding your way to the actual theater down just a block. Worth the trip!

Theater is configured well and seats are all good. We take our kids to the children's shows every year and it's been great exposure to Theater for them. Most of the shows I've seen here are pretty good.

The acting and theatre facilities are excellent. After a full day of work and then driving into the city it would have been wonderful to see a light-hearted, fast paced 2.5 hour play. In "A Dolls House" we did not have that. The actors certainly deserved a standing ovation - you were drawn right into their story and their lives. But the audience was overwhelmed by the hopelessness of of the situation and personalities of the characters when "A Dolls House" ended we could barely call up enough energy to clap. Kudos to these actors -
We purchase "A Leap of Faith" subscription and have been in every theatre in the Arden facility. We have never been disappointed in a production that we've attended.

My first time at the venue. The play was set in the smaller intimate, stage at the theater. Confotable seating, with enough personal space. Very helpful voluteers. The crowd seems to be for the large part patrons or members. I get that the theater deserves the community support it's earned. Enjoyed the production. The acting and stage crew were top notch. Very Professional.

Old city is tough to deal with if you drive a car. Consider public transportation. There are many great restruants and clubs in the area. Make a night of it.

What a great experience for the kids! We have been there for 2 different children's shows now and both were very well done. It is a different experience then what you would think of as classic theater. They make full use of the auditorium, including the ceiling and seats at times, and invite participants to join the show sometimes too. After every show there is a short question and answer period with the actors and then you can meet them in the lobby to take pictures with the actors. My boys are 12 and 9 and have both greatly enjoyed attending here and are looking forward to their next production.

One of my favorite places to enjoy a show! Great variety of shows each and every season. No matter where you're seated there's not a bad sight-line in the house. Excellent children's programs/camps thoughout the year.
