The gem of the ocean is a great play by August Wilson a must see

Saw... General Tubman. Job well done by all involved. But safe in my mind

Please go. The place is very conscious, of contagious anything coming down the pike. Cleaning before shows and after. Please use the sanitizer all around the place.

I must say wear gloves/masks...whatever you need to do to protect yourself and others. Folks will come into the general population/mainstream with their coughing, sneezing, and contagious illnesses. Folks will not cough/sneeze in their shoulder or elbow.
They hold on to their snoty tissues, or drop them in chairs or on the floor.

The actors are phenomenal.
My goodness, these are millions of dollars pay grade performers. Bestowing this high quality body of work for a mere fraction of what the actors are worth is a huge blessing.

The staff are so nice, professional, educated in doing their work. The staff displayed so much grace in hosting their guests. I've been to the Arden Theater many times. However, the theater has been enhanced to an optimum level.

I thank you Arden Theater and I applaud your efforts...to see that your guests have a wonderful time in your facility.

Professionally produced theatre with diverse options to satisfy any interest. Their children's theatre is phenomenal entertainment for the whole family!

Last night we saw one of the worst productions ever!

I recognize that the projection system was broken but still the production was awful.

The sound more than poor.

I wish I had walked out after 5 minutes!

Generally the productions at the Arden are great but this was a major exception

Plays are great, outstanding actors, easy in and out.

I take my class twice year and The Arden plays get better and better. My students always love their experience. The staff is always very friendly and the actors are as well. I usually end up bringing my family of 7 at a later date. I truly enjoy the Arden Theatre!

Small, intimate live theatre. Just saw the production of Once. It was fabulous. Terrific female and male leads. Excellent ensemble.

I saw an August Wilson play in the Haas theatre on the first floor. I love the unique stage set up. Seating is on all three sides of the stage and it's small but not uncomfortably tiny. I prefer a more intimate theatre. Seating was also a stadium set up so everyone gets a good view of the stage. The only issue is finding parking that's not too high. Meter parking is up to 3 hrs for $7.60 or $20+ for a parking lot. U can get a discount with your ticket stub though.

Play Ragtime was great. Actors fabulous. Singing was awesome.

Never stepped foot in the place but the tuxedo cat living its best life in an art gallery made me feel happy!

We had a very nice experience on opening night of Charlotte's Web. Everyone is so nice and the activities for kids that went with opening night were excellent. Very well produced and acted play.

A great little theater! I brought about 25 kids here to see the play The Bluest Eye, based on the book by Toni Morrison. They did a great job of thoughtfully and carefully showing the power themes.

It is a wonderful theater that puts on great shows!

We go here on school trips for my kids school. So far, I have seen three of their plays. The plays are excellent. We have so much fun there, I would definitely come back!!

Loved it the staff was curtious, and the facility itself was clean. As far as parking, well its center city. You will need to pay at a parking lot. Not one available in the theatre itself.it. We saw Peter Pan. It was great. It had a modern twist without loosing its originality, or syory line. The kids used their imagonation and still found it to be magical. We had a good time and a great experience.

The Arden knocked this one out of the park! Beautiful rendition of Ragtime. Strong cast, beautiful music; they made the best of a spartan set. The issues of race, immigration & the growth (or not) of relationships rang as true today as when the play was set.
Go see it!

I was there for their performance of "Caberet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream," great modern interpretations of classic plays.

Assisted to "The Bluest Eyes". The performed a remarkable flawless job. Congratulations and expecting more successful performances.

Productions are generally of high quality and the actors are very strong. Some new plays are better than others, but it is a delightful adventure to see a new show. My wife and I are subscribers.

My girls and I love the Arden theatre, we attend more than twice a year. Snow white was our most recent stage play and the classic tale that stood out the most. This particular production was most exquisite and a must see again and again. I mostly enjoyed opening up my imagination, and the vibrant creativity effects that came to life along with it. Moreover, Greg Banks is very talented and my girls and I would love to see more of his stage plays at the Arden theatre.

My son adored Charlotte (from their production of Charlotte's Web).

You can meet the actors after and he was just enamored. Wonderful children's theater production, with wine for adults in a sippy cup!

Theater seating is good from any angle, both auditory and visually, since the theaters are relatively small. Some steps up for most seating. Two theaters here, one on first floor, one on second floor. Elevators and accessible seating available.
Always a line for the ladies room. Food and drinks for sale, a few small tables for sitting while waiting available. Performances are always excellent and music is live.

Charlotte's Web was fabulous! Must-see family experience. All seats are good. Welll be back for Treasure Island!

Came here to see Charlotte's Web. The show was great and so was the venue! Small, but more intimate and that much closer to the show.

Great theater. The Arden has something for everyone's palate. Perfect place for a date night activity.

The Arden is a great company in that it offers traditional theater and new productions. Traditional shows are extremely well done with talented performers. New shows are well done, but perhaps not to everyone's taste. We've seen great ones and ones we still shake our heads at because we are still not sure what they were about. But kudos to Arden for having a place for them to be seen. Always a great night out with lots of places to eat nearby.

Outstanding play by August Wilson. Wife took me for my birthday and it was truly awesome. Casts was great, there is not a bad seat in the house. I wish they offered more refreshments for attendees. I was there for three hours or more and all they had were cookies, alcohol and granola bars to snack on. Not to mention the cookie was like 3 bucks.

Childrens series is well done and a good value for the family

The preformers are at the heart of this place. Nothing else really stands out.

Great small theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Great acoustics. Could hear everything clearly. Saw a final dress rehearsal for Fun Home. It was a little chaotic in the lobby since seats were not assigned, but everything worked out fine. Not much parking around there so it would be nice to have a list of places to park. I was very early and got a spot in the lot in the alley.

Great place to see a show. Small, intimate, great sound. Feel like you're part of the show.

I really enjoy the theater experience at the Arden. The productions are generally superb (exceptions, but few); the actors are marvelous, the entertainers wonderful. The theater is intimate (you're never far from the stage), especially their theater in the round where a slight effort may actually bring you in contact with the stage. They periodically change the seating configuration to accommodate the play. They occasionally present new plays and these have generally been enjoyable. Discount parking ($10) next door.

Arden Theater has been presenting excellent theater productions for about 30 years. They are a natural treasure to the city of Philadelphia. In Olde City, so you have your pick of amazing places to dine, then see a terrific show. Always top-notch.

The performers were unbelievable. I can't believe that they have done so much work in such a small amount of time. I cannot wait to see the final.

Highly... and strongly... recommend "General Tubman" that is playing at the Arden now. The run has been extended a bit so you may still have a shot at tickets.

Do it. Learn something. Feel something strong.

Excellent theater. They put on great children's plays too that are based on popular children's books with Q&A session for the kids by the actors right after.

The show I saw was excellent, the staff was great, and the venue is cozy and comfortable.

Went here on a school trip with my daughter today, to see The Frog and The Toad. It was such an amazing performance. The actors were great and had us laughing and singing along the entire show!! I will definitely be back again to see another play, this time with my family!! The cost was very reasonable too!!

My first time visiting this gem and it will not be my last! There is not a bad seat in the house!!

Good regional theater. Great revivals. Some good originals.
