Great attractions! With very eye opening movies. Make sure to take advantage of the quiet sit down times. You'll be on your feet a lot.

We love everything about the Aquarium! Education is key!
Too much people today couldn't really enjoy it, they should control the number of tickets they sell is just unhealthy...
A great collection of sea creatures, you can touch sharks and see all kinds of jellyfish and reptiles.
A really nice place to take a trip to on a weekend. There's so much to be explore and you'll learn a lot of new things about marine life and how much we can contribute to get help restore balance to nature. The sea lion show was great fun, one recommendation would be to make the sound equipment clearer. Especially for the last show describing the sea basses where the scuba diver's voice was not clear. Otherwise a place id definitely visit again.
Have to admit,.. drove over an hour and was abit disappointed. Not much to see, not much going on. I definitely expected much more. It is, however, near a great park with restaurants and such and we did have a great time overall
Awesome Adventure for the whole family! Plenty of critters to see!
Great indoor and outdoor exhibits, behind the scenes tour was educational and loved touching the sharks and feeding the lorikeets!
Great way to spend a few hours learning about aquatic environments and hanging out. The programs are good, the volunteers knowledgable and friendly.
We spent hours here, it was great, the people were friendly and they had a great veriety of animals, birds little fish and great big fish!
I've visited the Aquarium of the Pacific multiple times over the years and I've always been impressed with it. I know that this isn't SeaWorld sized, but you could easily spend a few hours reading all the information and watching the amazing sea life up close and personal.
Most of the kids love to shove their hands in the pool and do the two finger touch on the sharks and sting rays. My favorites thing to do is just watch the sea otters, the penguins, and all the fantastic jelly fish.
Expansive and detailed exhibits that are interesting and fun for kids of all ages. Sea otters, sea lions, octopus, rays, sharks... just to make a few. Our 3 generation household had a great time there. Gift shop is nice and has lots of little gifts for kids on the way out. Beautiful location.
Remember to take your parking stub with you and to pay at the kiosk when you are walking back to your car!!!!!! YOU DO NOT PAY WHEN YOU LEAVE THE STRUCTURE LIKE EVERY OTHER PARKING GARAGE IN THE WORLD! Twice now I found myself making a few extra trips LOL!
A great aquarium! Nicely designed and very well kept. Not the same crowds as the aquarium at Monterey which I was thankful for!
We really enjoyed it lots of sea animals and very awesome place to bring the kids to learn about our sea life lots of new things and a lot of technology unfortunately it was really crowded and not much organization prices are fair
They are making changes, to the facility to make it even better
We love aquariums..... And this one is our fave. So well done.
Great aquarium. There are some shallow open pools where you can touch baby sharks and mantas.
I loved the Aquarium of the Pacific , I got to feel the sharks
Perfect place to see ocean life. Penguins, stars, crabs, sharks and many many more. It could be hard to find parking after 12 am on weekends.
So much fun. So many things to do. Parking is 8 dollars with validation. If you have kids they have a little area they can get wet so extra clothes is a good idea. Plenty of things to do around the area as well. I recommend the season pass it's worth it if you have kids.
Came here for free for a 2 hour evening visit because we live in Long Beach. Check with your Long Beach City Council person to see when your neighborhood visit is scheduled. Only paid for parking. Had a nice visit, informative and entertaining. Staff were knowledgeable and welcoming.
Great time for the whole family. Five touch exhibits, water spray play area, and shows.
This place was great. It was maintained well, beautiful landscape for us human as well as for the animals. I would recommend gettin a groupon deal ahead of time (or on your phone while standing in the crazy long entrance line) the you just wall straight to the entrance, no wait. Also where boots so you don't get ankle injuries from all the strollers. I don't have a problem with the strollers or all the children, of course...it just can get so packed in the little dark hallways that you are smooshed out the otherside like toothpaste. With that, go on the weekday if possible.
Very nice place to spend a wonderful moment with your family and friends
It was a lot of fun! Stop by the visitor desk and get an info brochure if you're with kids, it's got special stops in each section that you use a special stamp to put on your page and show you went to it. If you get them all there's a little prize when you show it to the desk. It's a fun way to make sure you see every area of the aquarium and don't miss anything. There's a lot of spots you get to touch sea critters too which is a lot of fun for everyone
It's a nice place not sure if I explored the whole park because it seemed a little small too small for the price but it was still cool for the little one
Cool exhibits. I Wish the workers at each exhibit didn't read from the same script. Kinda obvious. Very expensive food prices and gift shop was even higher. Luckily they did have plenty of discounted items. Water bottle was like $4...lol
A small aquarium, but it's a very nice place to visit. The people are knowledgeable and friendly. Go for the night dives! That is the reason we keep coming back!
Big fun. Loved it. SUPER friendly staff. Very clean.
Great time, friendly staff, educational and fun exhibits. Would give 5 stars if all the wings were open.
Beautiful place,we learn a lot of the living species in the sea
One of the best places to spend a weekend in SoCal. It's not huge, so don't compare with San Diego SeaWorld. It's a non profit, you'll meet real life SoCal dinners and volunteers and the educational aspect of the aquarium is really commendable. If you're in the Long Beach area, a must visit. Probably will take two hours to complete if you pace yourself.
Very well laid out and has wonderful exhibitions and film viewing. Happy to have this in our town. Great place to take company especially kids.
They should really look into redoing there flooring it stinks like feet in there carpet areas bad.
Way too busy on the weekends!!!
There seems to be no limit to the number of guests entering.
We went on a Sat with our children and grandchildren. All the exhibits are clean and kept up. My favorite was the Lorikeet forest. I purchased the necter and walked into the " forest" where the Lorikeets land on your arms, shoulders, and even your head in an attempt to drink the necter from the cup you're holding. If you go on a Sat.,go early. It got very crowded by noon when we left and the parking garage was maxed out.
As aquariums go, this is a good one, not the best but not too shabby at all. Lots of animals to see and touch, which is always a plus. Lots to learn which is always a big plus. My only issue with it has to do with the fact that it can get so busy and so full of kids be it during the school year or in the summer with camps, and I know that s true of many of these type of places but it does take a bit of the joy. But don t let that stop you from going.
It s kind of small. But they have a lot of information and I would say its great for a date. A lot of schools have field trips here though so avoid taking the kids since they probably will go with there school eventually. The weekends are usually less crowded than the weekdays.
I love it!!! So amazing! Staff were very amazing! I'm from st.louis mo.. I will be back!!! A++
Awesome place to hang out. Be forewarned though, lots of children and families. The ruckus can be overwhelming sometimes, but the exhibits are beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend coming here.
I had a CityPass and went in with that to get some cover from the rain. The aquarium is cute, and given that I'd already paid for the CityPass and it was pouring buckets out, I thought it was a worthwhile endeavor. It's small enough to navigate with children without getting tired, but interesting enough to keep everyone occupied for at least an hou
Very nice Aquarium. Lots of sea creatures to see. It is worth the entrance fee. I got a annual pass so I can go any time they are open for a year.
The parking situation is horrible. I wish it had it's own parking area instead of shared with all the shops that are there. It took us over 30 mins to park and walk to the entrance of the Aquarium. It's a bit pricy with how small it is. My son loved it, but will not be going back.
A really neat experience. The place is not as big as I expected but was definitely worth the visit. Many restaurants and other sites to see nearby also
what's not to like about an aquarium? some are better than others, and the long beach Aquarium of the Pacific is in that camp for sure. fantastic seahorses, alien-like jellyfish, all manner of contained micro-ecosystems from different oceans around the world. there is PLENTY to see here. usually packed with strollers and families, but still pretty easy to navigate.
Wonderful and amazing place! When we went we were able to see all the different shows and saw many of the animal feedings. The price was super reasonable and well worth the visit.
Lots to see and do. Always a great time spent there.
I got to see so many animals I've never seen before!!! It was so cool!! I got to touch moon jellyfish and Ray's, which was incredible. Highly recommend.
big mistake going here on a weekend. While we were here the boys and girls scouts of america were there as well.......CHAOS!
But it was still a phenomenal time. The seahorse exhibit alone is worth it
We were pleasantly surprised with the diversity of animals to see at the aquarium. A must are the seals for their playful attitude and interaction with the guests. Only qualm would be the total time to throughly see all the exhibits is less than 2 hours. Go early to see the shows
Very nice aquarium, beautiful how they have the tanks set up and everything. Reason I didn't give five stars is because I think everything was too expensive. I understand we need to keep our museums and enrichment programs well funded but wow, with these prices, it's very discouraging, specially for families who can't afford visiting educational places like these.
Just an amazing time. Very clean and had an amazing time seeing the animals. The whale watching was amazing too. Worth the money. Would recommend to anyone.
Nice place to go and enjoy with the family, also good food at the cafe
Don't pay full price, there are lots of coupons online. But the aquarium is awesome! My kids loved the little shows throughout the day and the touch pools.
This is a super cool aquarium with a lot of extremely interesting exhibits, many of which are interactive! There are touch pools where you can touch sharks, stingrays, and even jellyfish!
Awesome experience that you're able to interact with the animals and feel their texture to some.
Simply amazing... Looking the jellyfish is so relaxing!!!
Only the back area of the aquarium is open. The walk-through of the area is less than 15 minutes of entertainment. Good place to visit for small children.
My kids love this Place! Always liking forward to the next trip. Can always see new things every time you go. The touch pols are great, even for adults. They have a food court that has a bunch of choices. The only complaints about the food side is 1. They can not change any thing at all (wouldn't add more cheese to nacho fries or cook them crispy for me) because there is no button to charge for it! 2. A bit on the pricey side for fast finger food.
Other then that, great place to visit. Check into the annual pass may save you some money in the long run.
Took my family with my 1 year old in tow and we had fun! Chilly in early March especially being at the water front. Sea creatures were magnificent. The penguins and seals were the funniest of all. Gift shop prices pretty reasonable, with an in house Starbucks. Parking line to pay was quite troublesome, but all in all will come back again.
Though it was really cool it was also very crowded. Still had a lot of fun.
Too many children on Field trips during morning and early afternoon hours. Go after 2:00 pm to avoid the crowds.
Easy to navigate. Lots of cool fish. Wish it was more toddler accessible. Easier for them to see.
Great place for children and adults. A few interactive exhibits. Fun for families.
Good place to take your little ones. They serve alcohol if your going by default to make the day more bareable for you if you don't have kids.
Great Aquarium with lots to do for the entire family. My kids particularly enjoy the moon jelly touch tank. The yearly membership is definitely worth it.
Very fun and exciting. I took my 3 grand children we had a blast with the touch tank. We say the largest sting ray I have ever seen.
Really packed on weekends only good for tourist but if you live in LA go on the weekdays
Went here on vacation. The picture was horrible want me to pay money for other people being in it. Not friendly at all
Had a great time not being from California. Wonderful exhibits, knowledgeable staff. Would return.
When you come out you will understand that we have to do something for the environment
Very nice air-conditioned building
A lot of interesting and amusing education shows
For every age something do to and to see
I would like to go a second time...to learn more.
I'm missing a library .
Very nice and friendly staff.
You can go after 5 or 6 in the summer for $20 bucks instead of $35. Plenty of time to explore and less Rugrats putting about.
Plan for a few hours in order to see the shows spaced thought the day.
This place was so wonderful! It is a lot larger than the Aquarium I was used to in Monterey. The staff was kind and knowledgeable about the creatures in their sections. Many beautiful creatures to see and learn about. Also a few interactive stations are there, where you can actually touch the sea life! Very cool! If you get hungry there is a food spot that has all types of goodies. One thing you dont want to miss is feeding the birds the nectar. That's was such a cool experience! They fly right on to you and drop from the nectar cup supplied by staff. All in all, it's a great place for adults and kids.
Currently under construction but no exhibits closed. Just making additions. Can't wait to see the end result.
I went with my daughter's preschool class, it was a great experience.
It was way too expensive for what was on display ....we have 3 aquariums in Phoenix AZ and all 3 are more entertaining and engaging with more on display
