Fantastic aquarium with amazing exhibits. It can be crowded at times but if you love seeing the wonders the earths ocean has to offer and can deal with a few rude people it's a day very well spent
This was my first time visiting, and it was really interesting to see all the animals. There was educational information about each one in the display.
There were lots of schoolchildren today, and they were having plenty of fun as well. There are touch tanks and other interactive activities.
What impressed me the most was that each staff member was not only polite, but they all seemed to enjoy being there, and they were very patient with everyone.
I hope to make this somewhere that I can visit regularly.
You can go here with or without a guide and you re still going to have a blast!
This place is not only fun for kids, but adults can have the same amount of fun as long as they re willing to participate in just about anything.
The bird enclosure is super fun, and $4 for the nectar may seem absolutely ridiculous, but when those sweet little birds are on your hand and enjoying the nectar as much as you re enjoying watching them, it ll be worth it. Although beware, they do poo a lot. They even pooped on me.
Overall, this place is worth every penny and is an amazing way to spend an entire day, learning about the ocean.
Make sure to spend some extra time by the sea otters, they tend to do the cutest things, ever!
Variety of species is remarkable. Many helpful volunteers to guide your visit.
Loved our visit! The kids really enjoyed this place!
The outside portion of the aquarium is open. You can still see the sharks, feed the birds and see my daughter's favorite, the penguins. There was a bit of a bottle neck at the beginning time for the reservations but the limited amount of exhibits makes for a quick fun trip.
The boysa, granny and nana had a blast! The staff is sooooo helpful and knowledgeable about all the animals. The family overnight stays are awesome you get the whole place to yourself and sleep with the animals it is something you need to experience once in life!!
They have clean facilities, super friendly and accommodating staff, and an awesome little gift shop. Very informative and their whale watching boat ride is so much fun and very relaxing. Definitely a great place to bring the family.
Sending us back to field trips in our kindergarten time. Many opportunities to touch, pet a jellyfish, starfish & string ray. We had a blast. Very educational. This will be great for our grandchildren.
Very busy on Labor Day Weekend, but the kids seemed to enjoy it.
love all the beautiful sharks , the sea lion this place is amazing my first time here
Loved the coordination of the staff on our school field trip!
Aimed towards toddlers .. nice place but not for two 14 year old boys
Fun aquarium to bring kids. Stroller friendly which is nice. I honestly was confused by the layout and the map didnt help, could've been because I was chasing a toddler around, but I'm not sure there is an easy route to see everything in one directional path. Penguins, seals, baby sharks, big rays and jellyfish made this a fun visit!
Exhibits for petting rays and starfish, check out the cool otter show too!
I love the outside of this place because there are rare pokemon and a bunch of pokestops (talking about pokemon go)
I visited this crown jewel of Long Beach, CA! It had been years since my previous visit and I was extremely impressed with the renovations made. The exhibits are not only beautiful but are instructional as well. The videos place an emphasis on climate s effects on our oceans and ecosystems. There is not only a problem-oriented approach, but a solution-oriented as well. The aquarium offers food choices, and there are restaurants within walking distance as well. I highly recommend The Aquarium of the Pacific to people of all ages.
Amazing place. Very interesting for kids and adults.
The Nectar Hut was one of my favorite unexpected exhibits at the aquarium. It allows you to interact, but be careful these little guys are pooping everywhere.
One of the best aquariums in the country! The behind the scene tour is a must!
We have the family pass and go often with our boys. They love to look at everything! It's a fun place for parents and kids alike.
Fun place to visit with your family. Was extremely crowded inside due to summer vacation. The outdoor water area is fun for kids.
I went during the night time when they offer free admission. If you 're on a budget the free night admission is best to go and explore the aquarium. Lot of fun seeing families and kids enjoying their marine life. Park at the pike for only $3 for up to 1.5 hours. That is enough time to explore all..well for me. The aquarium parking cost $8.
I had a blast and more importantly my children loved it we just became official members!
Great adventure for all ages! You can touch Rays, sharks, starfish and more. They have a cool little stamp booklet that you can find stampers throughout the aquarium to stamp your pages. My son really enjoyed collecting all the stamps. They have a couple snack bars if you get hungry or thirsty. They also have an imax type theater which is really cool.
It was an awesome experience for my students they got great time
What a great aquarium! We showed up on a day with ton's of school field trips and there was plenty of room to scatter out. They have things you never see at other aquariums
Very good. Also impressed with film on environment, energy alternatives, and various ways to produce food for all people. Film is on 2nd floor. 8 minutes.
So many exhibits to look at. Great for kids to get hands on with differnt types of marine life. My daughter loved it.
Wide range of animals a fun and educational family setting .. A great place to go
Amazing place super fun smart staff lots of cool stuff to see
Great place to spend the afternoon, and the whale watching tour was awesome!!
Beautiful exhibits, incredible staff, a great array of creatures. Lots to see and do.
Amazing place!! fun interactive experience for people of all ages!
I really enjoyed the sights and also the size of the place.
It s was a wonderful experience for a birthday outing with family.
The activities and educative sessions with the trainers/handlers/care givers were lovely. Particularly enjoyed that of the animal shelter group.
Loved this place! Loved being able to touch some of the sea life. Amazing time.
Cool learning experience. There are many of animals to see. There are also live performances from sea lions which I liked. Even though it is an aquarium, it was cool to see the bird exhibit, it was like I was visiting a zoo. The only downside is the smell if urine . I guess because there are a lot of kids present. I. Went on Wednesday and I still found it kind of full for not being the weekend.
Omg frun place to go great in Education of the water and lands of the coastal areas!!
Great place to visit to relax and have a good time.
I really enjoyed the visit and it was an awesome experience. I love aquariums and after renovations it has become more beautiful. You get to see unique water creatures in this aquarium.
Magical place for the whole family or on a date. They are super eco friendly and educate you on the environment and the affect people have on the environment. They have quite a few rescued species and treat them with respect!
Great experience. But if you don't want lots of kids underfoot, go during the week.
Has a lot of activities and they have learning stations
Went to a free event it's nice, under the moon and stars
Mesmerizing, reflective, educational displays delight and engage any afternoon outing.
Excellent job in execution and maintaining the COVID processes. Had a great experience in the gift shop as well, very friendly staff. Really felt very comfortable being there and had a wonderful adventure.
Fun very nice but a small aquarium. Would like it to be a little bigger or connected with the ocean
Went to an outside concert at the Aquarium last night. Jet Set Quintet played and were fantastic. The venue is an outdoor balcony/patio space and has a beautiful view of the harbor lights. They serve drinks and some food options. The band had really high-end musicians. It was a very nice evening and I highly recommend it.
This place is lots of fun for kids and grown ups alike. You'll be done in about 2 to 3 hours depending on your speed but worth every penny and minute.
So much to see! The new Pacific visions technology is out of this world!
Surprisingly crowded.
Exterior outdoors viewing only.
More than half was closed.
I have been to this aquarium twice now. Each time I have enjoyed it immensely. I have taken my family each ti e and all of us loved it. The staff we interacted with were friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibits were outstanding. If you get the chance, also book an animal encounter! Best fathers day presenti could have asked for!
Can't wait for my next visit.
It's Was Nice And Beautiful For the most part ... Recommend going when its not hot
Great exhibits. Lots of activities for kids. The theater is also very good. Unfortunately we visited on labor day and it was too crowded and impossible to enjoy some of the kids activities capacity should be limited to avoid this as most of the spaces for shows and activities is not enough for such big crowds.
You have to pay for parking in a small parking lot no parking. Anywhere to eat close enough only does Valet. I liked the animals but the aquariums were inside small buildings so everyone was in cramped space it took longer to wait to see an exhibit than it did to see the beauty it had to offer... people would walk up as you were waiting and just jump in and look when someone would move... just very rude maybe it was my luck... they need a better layout for the people to walk through.
Love the place but they seriously need to limit the amount of people they let in there. It was way, way too crowded and the prices were very high to get luch ($4 for a soda and $8 for a slice of pizza for a kid!....please!) The price to get in has gone up to $30 each also. It used to be an inexpensive way for the kids to learn but not anymore.
Good, fun exhibits, lots of bright colorful fish. They have a stroller problem, as the exhibit is very busy and strollers clog pathways really slowing you down. Additionally, they made the weird choice to put fish names and descriptions right at the BASE of the tall tanks, so you have to have front row viewing to know what you're looking at
Great place to visit especially for family. Lots of exhibits and try to time it so you see the show.
Went during the week not that busy, great place to take your kids. Definitely recommend.
Rally like this place. We have a family membership and have been here four times in less than two months. You can touch the jelly fish , shark, stingray etc. Love the experience.
Great times with my people at this aquarium yesterday, many a great memory was made.
It is super crowded but very beaitiful. Strollers are hard to use with so many people, its best to just carry or use a kangaroo. They have a veriaty of hands on amd interaction activities. I do suggest this place. Also right on the pier of Long Beach and many places to eat outside.
it was nice in the a.m my kids got to see all the aquarium watch a show without it being so crowded
Fun day trip. Great for small children. The lorikeet exhibit is well worth the money, but try to go when it first opens because the birds are hungry and swarm you. It's pretty cool.
Everything else about the aquarium is pretty basic. Parking is easily accessible.
Very cool exhibits! A fun place to visit, great for families.
Such a great place; and the aquarium is a very active part of the community. Definitely worth a visit. Be sure to validate your parking before you leave!
I really enjoyed my time at this aquarium. I love that they host a Autism Family night twice per year. The staff was very helpful as well.
I remember going here it's great I guess. I had no problems which was great!
