A great place to visit. Besides the normal exhibits they have a great bird sanctuary that you can feed birds. We had a blast with the birds. This place is very busy so be ready for crowds. They have food and coffee inside. They also just built a new theatre which has a really cool new show which has a great message about saving the Earth and wildlife. We try to go a couple times a year, it's fun!

I first want to start off saying........how much I enjoyed "Aquarium of the Pacific" despite an incident I encountered which can't be left unacknowledged. Because it was my first time at the aquarium, I was uncertain of which area(s) /sections of the Aquarium included general admissions. To help with my uncertainty, I walked to the information desk for help. For some reason, my general question sparked suspicion from one of the employees working at the " information desk (who was a White male). He walks up to me and asks: Can I see your ticket? Me: Wait, what? as I'm thinking in confusion. I replied: "The woman took my ticket" I wouldn've gotten in without it"? He replies by saying: I just need to see your ticket. Feeling humiliated that he stopped only me while thousands of other people walked about the aquarium, I decided to comply. After confirming with another employee that she did in fact receive my ticket, I never got an apology. This unprofessional employee treated me as if I was a suspect in a murder trial asking me such questions as: Where is your ticket"?, "You didn't print anything off to confirm you paid for your ticket? Who took your ticket? It was just humiliating. I felt I was being interrogated. The 3 star rating is due to that experience with that particular employee NOT the Aquarium itself. I wish I would have gotten his name. The other employees treated me pretty well. Other than that, it was a clean and nice aquarium

Great aquarium. The new theater is superb. Must see: otters, penguins, ray touch area and lorikeets! Go feed the lorikeets as soon as it opens bc it is way more fun to get 5 birds landing all over you

Gorgeous, clean, amazing. It was very crowded but it was so worth it! I have never seen such amazing displays and breath takingly huge tanks. My sons loved every minute of it. The touch tanks were just the icing on the cake. We will return many times. Perfect for children because of touch tanks and floor to ceiling viewing tanks. Lots of information and lots of variety. We didn't get the chance to visit the restaurant simply because it was a crowded day (spring Break) but we will the next time we go,it smelled delicious!

Fantastic aquarium with a huge variety of creatures. You can easily spend 2 or 3 hours there even if you only stop at each tank for a cursory glance. However, I do wish they had more tanks where you could touch the creatures. That would've been cool and really made it special.

It was my first time here during COVID. It was a disappointment not worth the $30 for 2 people. They only have the outside portion available. All I wanted to see was an octopus, but they had all those other animals locked up inside. It took us 20 minutes or less to finish everything. LAME!!! Hopefully they re-open the inside soon.

Overpacked, overpriced, too crowded, if you have a toddler and a stroller good luck you won't get anywhere. Rude staff, ordered food and took over 40 minutes to get out food. Don't recommend, it's a typical over rated California tour area.

disappoint. Love this place. Today was Saturday and even though it was crazy crowded it was a great afternoon out for my husband and me. Not too expensive and very educational. We even stopped at the gift shop for a toy for one of my nieces. They were having a 50% off sale. Loved it.

The best aquarium I've ever been to! There is so much to see here and many interactive, "hands-on" areas where you can reach out and touch sea creatures. You could easily spend most of the day here. There are many child friendly activities and learning opportunities. They are doing a large expansion and I imagine it will all be even more impressive when they are done with the construction. I highly recommend taking an afternoon to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific.

This aquarium is a gem. I was so impressed with the variety of displays, and the interactive nature of so many of them. My kids loved collecting all the stamp imprints in their guidebooks. The lorikeet aviary was delightfully fun. The touch pools were really cool. I was especially impressed with the young people who were volunteering. Mostly high school students, but exceptionally knowledgeable about the sea life. You definitely don't want to miss this if you're near Long Beach.

This aquarium is ok, parking isn't free and the tickets are pricey. But it is worth 1 visit if you want to see some cool fish. Penguin are cool too. I have been to better aquariums this one ranks about a C+. Monterey Bay is better if you have the time to drive up north.

Cafe here is also very expensive so bring your own food and drinks.

Really nice Aquarium with inside and outside sections and touch pools for the kids. Plenty of places outside to chill as well and restaurants near by.
Beautiful aquarium with a beautiful collection. Staff is really nice and eager to have a chat with you. I really love the approach they have concerning the animals.

It was nice being able to visit the Aquarium for free. Always remember to donate to the animals so they can soon hopefully get bigger exhibits and better treatment. It's nice being able to see these deep sea creatures but remember its better if they were all in their natrual homes. Zoos and aquariums arent humane. You wouldnt wanna live in a tank or a cage your whole life right?

Great experience! I really must say thank you to two of the Educators there. Kenny, and I believe the other's name is John. These two went way above and beyond in helping a disabled person and his family have a fun educational time. I hope you guys see this and realize how valuable you are to that institution. Thank you!

This was a rather fully-featured, clean aquarium, located in foggy Long Beach. Everything from sharks, to horseshoe crabs, to the strange, glowing jellyfish pictured. The exhibits are well done, though they do seem rather small...still pretty incredible though.

I will also note that much of the staff are volunteers, many even college students, and they're more than happy to talk into great detail about the animals they care for. In addition, they have plenty of hands-on activities for adults and kids alike. They really have a lot of passion for what they do, which added a lot to the experience.

I rate this place with 4 stars, as the atrocious admission prices of $30 for adults and $17 for kids was not worth the attractions provided. Cutting even $5 off the adult price would seem more approachable, but I will say that these rare little jelly fish honestly made the trip that much more worth it.

This place is great. My family loves coming here to touch ,see and learn about marine animals. Also the lorikets and the moon jellyfish are awesome. After hours we paid like $20 a person and they have added a lot of new exhibits. At this time there was not very many people. You can also buy tours of the bay combo tickets

Lots of delicious fish, molusks, crustaceans, winged creatures and other oceanic animals to gawk at but NOT eat. I can't stress that last part enough, I got kicked out for trying to eat one of the yellowtails. Well worth it.
