Last went to the aquarium about 5 years ago and had a blast. Went again a few weeks ago and was hugely disappointed. The place was dirty, foul smells everywhere mainly from standing pools of dirty water and spills everywhere that you can tell had been sitting there for hours. I feel like they are understaffed and just don't have the head count needed to maintain it like they use to.

We went during the Summer Discount Nights and only paid $19.95 a person. I love the aquarium, this wasn't our first visit but it had been years since our last one. The exhibits are beautiful and the animals are amazing. I had forgotten that it was on the smaller size so I was happy we hadn't paid the full $35 ea.

Fun interactive things to do for kids. Not to big where kids are super exhausted. Face painting a bit pricey 1$ extra for glitter. Water play area is crowded earlier in the day. Our girls got to play around 6 with only a couple of other kids. Aquarium was open late that day. You can take your own food or snacks.

Cool place, but dirty. My 3 year old son got sick after going. Suprised they dont have more sanitizer around and people cleaning the glass and etc where all the kids are touching. I didnt see one employee cleaning anything for the 6 hours we were there. If kids are touching glass tanks all day, they should be wiped down cobstantly to stop the spread of germs and such. Plus the humidity on top of the filth was worse. Cool sea animals and great experience other than that.

It is an amazing place, to learn and see ocean fish and other types. The food at the cafe is not that great but the special was one of the best. If you plan to go out to eat, I recommend Bubba Gump or Louisiana Charlie's. Don't want to miss a thing? Try to find every stamp for your aquarium booklet with all the info on it. It is definitely worth it. I also suggest to do all the outside activities first before exploring any of the exhibits. Shark lagoon, the bird cages, and the jelly fish place outside is a must. Gives you the opportunity to touch live animals. Some areas close early, so it's best to do those as soon as possible on your trip.

Love this place! Got tickets on sale for I think $25 each, and it does seem a little pricy but there's lot of sweet sea animals to observe. In my opinion if you take your time it is well worth it

Took family and friends, We had vouchers for $5 each person, kids free. The experience was amazing i will def be going again soon. I hadn't been in such a long time so this time I came it was really great. My child and the other kids enjoyed themselves also. Some of us ate at bubba gumps..across the way. It's so much to do there besides the aquarium but this place is also very very AMAZING!!!!

Loved loved loved it. Got to feel rays, sharks AND jellies. Such fun. Their penguins are adorable but they need more otters and seals/sea lions. Or add an outdoor section that connects to the waterfront for more bigger critters. It's too small. And their map is confusing. We went back and forth between the second and third floors several times, trying to find things we'd missed. Would definitely go back if I was foolish enough to go to the LA area again on purpose.

This place is a lot of fun for the kids and the adults. You can see lots of exotic fish inside the main area, and 2 touch tanks outside where you can pet Ray's and sharks! I haven't checked out the theatre yet, but the scuba divers puts on a great and educational show in the big main tank through the the day.

Oh and they have those new refillable water fountains installed so you can bring and refill your own water bottle .

My favorites were the Shellder tank and the Psyduck touch tank!

Such a great place for the kids. And the birds that they got to see. It's a small aquarium but hey they have such a diversity of animals that they can see. When we went it wad a weekend and it was EXTREMELY full. The girls really enjoyed the stamp booklet and couldn't wait to find them all. We missed one and had to run around the whole thing to find the last stamp. Lots of fun I can assure you

We visit the aquarium every yr at least. For the price the place is actually great. Very kind what they do to continue the breed of some animals. My daughter loves it. We got to enjoy the feeding of some fishes including the stingray

Large and very well maintained. The animals for the most part appear well maintained and well taken care of.

It was presidents day weekend and it was understandably packed but it was fairly easy to navigate with a group regardless.

There are shows about every half hour and there are enough throughout the day you could probably spend 7 hours watching just the shows with no overlap.
