Superb location well located m. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the pools are top.

I spent 4 nights in one of the apartments with the family and it was one of the best stays, care and cleaning I've ever been to. Whenever I have it in the Algarve it is without a doubt my favorite place.

Good facilities, large and modern, good swimming pool and above all excellent service, Bar and Restaurant with competent people and available at fair prices
Close to the beach and the city of Lagos and also a good car park.
I used this hotel since the 23rd of June, I felt safe and without any problem.

Nice hotel! Reception staff was great. Although it took forever to get the food or even order your lunch from the pool restaurant, even though there were only a few other people there.

The pool was great, the town was lovely the rooms were comfortable but when it comes to the staff in the bar they need a bit more work not so great service we ordered chips one time with garlic bread and we were waiting nearly on hour but we only got garlic bread with potato wedges cause they had no chips left the could of a least said they were outta chips so long story short we were basically waiting and hour for only garlic bread!! But the room service was great and everything else just that games room was excellent!!!

It has two large swimming pools, one with a large depth and the other with a maximum depth of 1.20m. It has a restaurant, a bar, a 24h reception, a games room with two Snocer tables and a Foosball table. Each room has a kitchen with a microwave, a fridge, a 4 plate, has no oven or dishwasher, has a balcony, a dining room, has two bedrooms

The evening meal was disgusting and over priced. Room was good but needs a grab rail in bath. Breakfast basic buffet but ok. Good location for old town and beach. Would return.

Dont eat at the cafe here ever. The hotel and pool are great and a nice walk from the town centre, rooms are spacious and clean with great balcony's.
Do not visit the cafe/restaurant worst food and sevice I have ever received. Incorrect orders long waiting times even with no customers, staff are rude, food was horrible, reheated oily chips, my tomatoes were just green. I asked for the bill and waited but nobody came, had to demand the bill at the counter so we could leave. At which point the waiter took my money and didn't bring me my change, which again I had to demand and they made me wait for it again. While the waiter who had served me chatted with another customer.
Please take my advise and eat elsewhere, it is a lovely town with plenty of great places to eat.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in with an excellent breakfast buffet. Room service was good.

AQUALUZ ..has good accommodation. Do opt for the pool view as it's really nice. There is a bus stop close to the hotel. Walking distance to the town centre and various beaches. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not the most lively resort but that's good. I would recommend as a mid price get away.

Beautiful, relaxing hotel. The rooms are very spacious and it has the perfect combination of being a hotel (room service, pool, restuarants etc.) and an apartment (fridge, stove, pots and pans, etc.). We really enjoyed the dinner buffet and spending time in the pool, a perfect way to stay cool during the warm summers.

Location is ok (5min walk to the beach and into town). Rooms were not in a bombshell condition but perfectly fine if you have the price in mind. The service leaves nothing to be desired everything top. The food in the restaurant of the hotel was okay ... just a typical hotel restaurant.

Plus points: Breakfast is only served at 9, so even for a late riser like me enough time to sleep in. 2 large pools, 1 gym. I never go to one at home, but it was handy for vacation. The buffet is very rich and just right for someone who wants to build muscle. Large balcony with a great view. For visitors with half board, the room has a small kitchen and dining table with 4 chairs. Only about 15 minutes to the sea (if you walk comfortably and depending on which section of the beach you want to go. Are all connected) and as far as Corona is concerned, the safety regulations are taken very seriously in Lagos. In the hotel building you are only allowed to walk with a mask (people who deny the virus and refuse the security measures should not go to Lagos. They starve there. Without a mask, nobody is allowed to go into a shop) to the city center is only 10 minutes and there is a lot a lot to see. And the staff is also available for fun. (A UN once played with us :)) And everyone speaks English
Cons: Even when the windows are closed, you can still hear some street noise. When the card is inserted so that the current flows, the television switches on immediately and the shower only has a glass on the shower head itself. So you have to be careful that the water doesn't splash too far. At least in room 256 (although it must be said that the cleaning ladies wipe it out.) But not all of them are as sensitive as me;)

This place is massive and I mean massive in a not so good way. It s so big that it can be like a maze. But it has everything you can possible need. The apartments are extremely comfortable, spacious and well appointed. I love the balcony, specially the one I had... in corner of 3rd floor. The shower has good hot water and water pressure . It takes a long time to get from front of building to inside the apartment since it s such a big structure. The health club, I m not a big fan of... even though it s huge with everything you can ask for. It s just old and industrial looking... with no character. Hotel guests can use it once a day. There are two humongous pools outside, one Olympic size pool inside and 1 regular size pool inside. It had a massive gym... a steel room and sauna.

Great pools and plenty of loungers. Rooms are modern and clean. The hotel has plenty of amenities.

Great facility and nice rooms. Due to the pandemic, we were almost alone. The fitness club that can be used is great and you should definitely treat yourself to a massage. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point for the staff, this should be the soul of the hotel. The lady who greeted us at the reception was just as not very friendly as the breakfast team. When asked about a possibility to buy stamps, we didn't get any help at reception. But overall, definitely a recommendation. The location is also great, beaches and city are within easy walking distance.

The place itself is a nice resort and they offer a Porto glass which is a nice touch. The rooms are big, clean and comfy. However, it is very noisy : there is music non stop playing (all day and night) coming from the pool area that you hear in your room. You also hear your neighbors (we had to change rooms because of a baby and the next day we heard our new neighbor snore). The location is okay - 15 mins walk to city center. The staff in the hotel reception is nice and friendly but the gym/spa staff is rude and disrespectful. Wouldn't come back.

If it wasn t for the rudeness of some staff this place would be amazing. The old bar manager sir A is Desgracefully rude to the staff and clients.
The dinner was very tasty but be aware the boys will take your plate straight away after you haven t even finished shewing the food!!!
The food also have no labelling!!! Be aware they didn t know any food allergens. It s a self service buffet which you just have to judge by the look of what it is. We had to call a chef to ask questions as not even the soup exposed for dinner the young manager of the restaurant didn t know.

As unfortunately often on our journey unfriendly reception. One had to pull all the information out of the gentleman's nose, as often read in reviews, we also lacked various information on breakfast, fitness, sauna, pool, etc.. The rooms are old, our bathroom was not inviting at all. While taking a shower water somehow runs into the wooden box where the washbasin is, it is already quite grey and there was a hair dryer burning. For me incomprehensible why one does not replace such a thing. We had ants in the bathroom. The accommodation was quiet and clean with the exception of the ants. The way into the rooms is partly very complicated, I asked myself whether one could not have solved this easier. In the evening the big seagulls wash themselves in the children's pool which is fun to look at, but I don't want to know how hygienic the whole thing is. The gentlemen at the pool take very good care of the facilities and look after the guests (much better than the reception)!

Very good place to rest, with its snack bar, outdoor swimming pools, heated indoor pools and spa and gym area. They are apartments but with the services of a hotel.

Accommodation hmm 3 stars , breakfast well 2 stars I do not recommend coffee from the machine.

Clean rooms with everything needed for a family vacation with baby. 2 magnificent pools and lots of sun loungers. Diverse animation every night.

Large rooms, good mattresses, large bathroom, two outdoor pools and free use of the Health Club Solinca once a day with two warm indoor pools, squash, gym, yoga classes and more (additional charge 5), sauna (the steam room was out of order).
The breakfast in the off-season rather a bit "slimmed down". Nevertheless, enough with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, grilled vegetables, fresh cucumber and Tomstensvheiben, fresh fruit (orange slices, kiwi pieces, pineapple pieces, pears in juice / syrup), 3 types of cereals, milk, two sorts of yogurt with flavor strawberry or banana, one sort of bread roll, one sort of sweet particles plus Pastel de Nata, two types of wheat bread (dark and light), chain toaster, juicer with orange, peach, pineapple and hot drinks machine with water, coffee and cocoa. Teabags of different varieties.

Excellent location. Good restaurants and shopping within walking distance within a few minutes. Including a branch of the excellent bakery Pao da Avo Maria.
To the beaches Dona Ana and Pinhao also only a few minutes. Praia do Camilo about 15 minutes and the textile-free "climbing beach" Praia dos Pinheiros (also called Praia da Boneca) 25 minutes including descent. The Libra beach (Praia da Balanca), years ago also a "clothing optional" beach, is hardly further. Immediately thereafter comes the Punta da Piedade with the lighthouse. From there, an official cliff-lookout path leads to the "Porto de Mos" beach. Shortly before the unofficial descent to the textile-free beach Praia do Canavial.
The kilometer-long semicircular "Meia Praia" beach can be reached on foot in about 40 minutes via the drawbridge at the marina or train station. When translating over the estuary it should be 5 minutes less.

The Wi-Fi was unencrypted without registration. Nevertheless, you flew when restarting the smartphone or when leaving the hotel. Annoying. 72 mb / s is not exactly intoxicating.
Another thing: we had single beds, each with six wooden feet. To prevent them from squeaking, these feet can be easily tightened by hand from time to time. Do not whine right away ...
Because of the unbeatable low price in the absolute low season, I award five stars. If you do not want to start with the sports offer, for the price / performance ratio is a bit worse.
We liked it very much anyway.
Oh yes, in the area of the bar there was a reading area with a small, interesting stocked bookshelf.

Simple and tasty hotel ... near the centrinho and beaches ... worth the cost x benefit

At first glance, this is quite good, but when you take a closer look, it stops. Room not really clean. The ground was crumbly. On closer inspection there were z. B. also hair. We had an apartment with a kitchen. There was a refrigerator, a kettle, toaster, microwave and a two ring stove. The toaster and the kettle were broken. However, they were replaced within a few hours upon request. The apartment looked uncomfortable due to the tiles and lack of decoration. Unfortunately, the furnishings were not modern either. The double bed was unfortunately only 1.40 wide, which we really disliked. Some of the rooms were only cleaned at 5pm.
The breakfast buffet was not too big and unfortunately there was absolutely no variation. The snacks in the snack bar were at best ok. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the fries at all! Talking and not through.

Furthermore, I think it's cheeky to ask for money from your own guests for the parking lot. It costs 4.20 euros a day.

The existing pool area was positive. The staff were also always friendly.
The evening program is unfortunately repeated exactly every week (the musical quiz even with the same songs) and is often more drowsy than entertained.

The situation is very positive. It's easy to get to the beach, various restaurants and even in town.

Parked in their carpark and had to pay at reception. Staff member was polite and courteous, and carpark was cheap at 15 cents for 15 minutes.

Never in life 4 stars. The location of the hotel is the only positive. Ok, maybe the pool area and the gym yet. But not more. Rooms or apartments are Spartan, furniture totally stale. Once the room had to change since we got the first sudden visit from ants. The staff must say is very nice and courteous but the rooms are rather good 2 maximum 3 stars. The food is totally monotonous. Buffet compared to Spanish standards absolutely unacceptable and at 4 stars. A small breakfast bar, breakfast rolls, a sort of cheese, 2 sorts of cold meats, scrambled eggs from the pack, bacon and beans, and every day. With 2 weeks vacation you get after 3 days already the pimpanellen. We had half board. Let me tell you, it's not worth it. Save the money and go eat something every night in the city. In the evening there are noodles, potatoes, chewy meat and a variety of fish. If you go on vacation you really want nice rooms and good food. If the rooms are not the bang, then at least the food should be correct or vice versa. Unfortunately, nothing is right here. Landscape in the area and Lagos are beautiful but as a whole compared to Spain Portugal is still miles away. Why Portugal priced is always more expensive than the Spanish coast, I can not explain.

Ideal pool to relax. Good location 10 minutes down to the center. It has a parking for less than 5 per day. Adequate room, but we had to repeat several times that there were ants in the kitchen and I did nothing.

Stayed at Aqualuz for 7 nights with 4 close frinds. The whole hotel in general was extremely well kept from pool to the rooms.
The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help with anything you asked. Also gave great reccommendations.

Clean aparthotel, close to old town but not in it. Some areas of hotel need attention other areas are great. Night life. Well for us the social area used in the evenings lacks ambience. But kids under 10 love it. As I am sure do their parents. Some lovely places to eat nearby you just have to search for them. A pleasant stay so far

Hotel clean and comfortable. Good choice at breakfast, with roasted vegetables for those not eating meat. All staff extremely helpful. Two swimming pools and health suite, but didn't have time to try them out. Only draw back hotel has outside walkway to some rooms and rain can make it a bit slippy, especially if using a walking stick. Hotel situated on hilly part of town , however reception can call a taxi to Lagos front for less than. 5 . I will certainly return out with school holiday times. If unsteady on your feet make sure you have comfortable shoes as all pavements are cobbles and uneven

I really enjoyed the stay. Everything very clean. The swimming pool is excellent.

Nice hotel in a great location, some dated rooms with a reasonable walking distance! Parking a few steps away, rooms are quite noisy!

Nice hotel. Great gym facilities, classes included! Great location, center 10 minutes walk, beach 15 minutes, restaurants nearby. Clean and simple rooms. Apartment with pool view has a double bed which actually are two single beds and a bit hard, but still okay. Breakfast is simple and more than enough. Not a lot of variation. They don t serve any food off the menu after 6.30 pm. You can only get the open buffet or some sandwiches after that which I thought was a shame. However, there are enough restaurants on walking distance.

Just average hotel experience. Room we had was spacious with a kitchen and fridge. Somewhat old interior. Housecleaning was daily and good. Wifi throughout the hotel was generally poor with connection issues. Bad coverage. This was during low season even.

The hotel restaurant was a fixed menu type with two options. We had dinner there regrettably twice. Absolutely horrible food. Although the setting and tables are nice. Try the restaurant up the street or ones in central historic Lagos.

Pool area and health club access (spa swimming pool and gym etc) was very good. It's a standalone gym so it's got it all.

Some receptionists were more helpful than others. We'll come back to Lagos, but won't stay here.

We stayed over the Christmas period for a week and loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean (and cleaned daily), had a kitchenette, separate bedroom, balcony; everything you need for a comfortable stay. You could also use the neighbouring health club to use their indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, etc. which was great. Conveniently located near the centre of town and 2 grocery stores. Was also a short walk to Camilo beach and Ponta da Piedade. We highly recommend Aqualuz and would definitely stay here again.

Very modern big room. Unfortunately in the evenings very noisy due to the children's entertainment. Attentive friendly service. Room cleaning was not enough. Breakfast and dinner could taste convince. At dinner there is room for improvement regarding keeping the food warm.

Beautiful hotel. Room was lovely we stayed in a premium studio it was spotless and had all the nesscaties, room service was overpriced and cold wouldn't reccomed,slight complaint of the tables in the breakfast area not being level and wobbly, overall service was brilliant the staff were very helpful and accommodating but are understaffed, overall would give an 8/10 Would recommend.

The accommodation part is good, the restaurant with half board (breakfast and dinner) went from bad to worse, on the first day there was nothing we had chosen to arrive, on another day we waited an hour and a half until the entries arrived with 6 children at the table, having even been served other tables that even arrived later, ate and left before we were served. I do not recommend.

The apartment and the pool are good, the same cannot be said of the service, as they did not mention the car park or the gym only found out after almost a week.

Unexpected stay at this hotel, as we were booked else where. Lovely people who were very welcoming. The hotel is spotless everyday room service. Poolside immaculate and it's surroundings. It was a pleasurable visit.
