Very well equipped hotel complex (fitness and indoor pool) for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and takes care of the guests, the breakfast buffet is very good, in contrast there is the dinner, where the selection is quite modest. The rooms are large and very well equipped.

It has been everything unbeatable. Situation of the hotel, the best in lakes. Apartment with everything you need.

The staff were really top class. We stayed in one of the newer 1 bedroom apartments with our 7 month old son. The areas of the hotel that have been upgraded are really lovely including the reception and communal seating area. The restaurant beside reception was about to open when we were there, didn t eat in it but it looked really nice. Snack bar / breakfast area is dated and breakfast was good but not 4 star. Great location, just outside old town but easily walkable with the baby in the harness. Beware all the cobbles streets are not great for buggies so harness was key. Lovely stay, heated gym pool was super for the baby and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would happily stay again.

The rooms need an urgent "renovation". Prices too high for the Portuguese standard. If I come back? I think not

We were a 17 man big OB gang (football) who lived here. Splendidly fine. Got a sense of RIO. Competitions at the pool, at the ping-pong tables, at the dartboard etc. mm

Very decent facility, friendly service. The food and the ambience in the open breakfast room is still up. Cold scrambled eggs, cold mushrooms but useful selection

Staff, pool, games room and location are great. However the beds in our room were HUGE, super noisy and you could feel the springs of the old mattress. We had no room cleaning on any of the days, as the HK only came to clean at 4:30 pm, when we returned from the street. The room we stayed in definitely cannot be considered 4 stars.

Good hotel but it depends on the price ..... Adequate quality ratio price around 100 euros high season.

I stayed for 11 days and I loved its location, its very friendly employees, cleaning, recption and those of the cafeteria and restaurant, I travel a lot through Portugal and I have to say that its inhabitants are very friendly.

The hotel is expensive for what they offer. The rooms are old, the locks do not work well. We had to go down twice to get the key fixed. The bathroom was full of water around the Water.
The only good thing that it has is the pool and breakfast, buffet style. I took away a star, because that 4 star has nothing.

Very nice apartahotel. Went here with the family and In-laws. Great location to Lagos beach. Plus surroundings. Lots of good walks albeit steeper walks back. Apartment was clean and new-ish. Provided with baby cot too.

Our stay was ok ! Our room was fantastic unfortunately our air conditioning didn t work so we had to move rooms to a replica room but that was fine.
The service around food was ridiculous we ordered & literally waited the longest time for food to be brought out & when it was it was wrong or a duplicate of someone s order very annoying, also breakfast was ridiculous too had to ask most days for boiled eggs and were told no breakfast is over even though there was still an hour to go nothing a trip to reception didn t sort out though !!
there was no life guard on duty either

Nice receptionist welcomed us. Large bright room with kitchen and spacious balcony. Quiet and peaceful (the hotel wasn't full) and a short distance to the city center. We were happy with our stay. Must pay for parking

Hotel with good access and good location. Large pools and good rooms. I liked the service and friendly staff. Coming back without a doubt.

Cheap hotel with great interior. The Wi-Fi is represented in the whole area with good strength. The not yet renovated rooms are basic and have a comfortable folding bed. The kitchen is fully stocked and was in a clean condition.

Nice hotel, close to the old town and small beaches. Very nice staff. Lagos is a wonderful starting point to explore the Algarve.

Very well located Cordial attention The spa is very good that recreation is good. We were two people, we left very satisfied. I would go back

I cannot rate this hotel well for several reasons: apathetic and unhelpful waiters, bad, bad, scarce buffet, little variety, they are not attentive to replenish when something runs out.
In the spa the Turkish bath and the sauna did not work in the whole week that I was.
With regard to the apartment, everything is fine, swimming pools and common areas well, missing a lifeguard. In general, I consider it a three star instead of four

big hotel block with four pools. Checkin was smooth and we enjoyed the night there. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to check out all the amentieis offered

Hotel with lots of stairs and although it has several elevators, it is impossible to go with a stroller to the pool (even for wheelchair, walking sticks, etc). They charge all services apart: cap for indoor pool and parking.

Great hotel with good service and very friendly staff. Very spacious apartments. Centrally located, close to the beach, shops, historic center and the exceptionally beautiful coast. Everything is within walking distance. We liked the restaurant very much. Recommended.

I liked the space ... it failed to organize the pool ... the sunbeds were reserved since morning only for the towels..wi fi in the hotel all

Room was clean, spacious and modern. The location was ok... Walking distance to Lagos town centre and some beautiful beaches.

Guests make too much noise at night and there is little customer attention

Quiet hotel just a few steps from the center of Lagos and the beach.

Hotel was very nice. Very big, clean room. 2 bathrooms, separate bedroom. Balcony was huge. Pool area was great. 2 pools. About a 20min walk to the main area of Lagos, with restaurants, shops, bars. Beaches were within walking distance as well.

Very old rooms to sleep is better than sleeping on the street

Great accommodation and great staff. Rooms cleaned every and fresh towels. Food not great from bar restaurant. Had a burger and the burger was just mush, the nap was just defrosted and cold in centre and hard around outside. Price of beer was a bit steep at 4.50 when average in the town is 2.50. Meaning people have a tendency to leave the complex which is sad. I think my main problem with the facility is the publicity photos showing very modern rooms etc when in reality the apartments are just standard boxes. Which does build your expectations and can only lead to disappointment. However every thing is good hence 5 stars, but no need to build the place up unnecessarily.

Room needing renovations! Beautiful pools and full gym (huge) with group classes! Restaurant and bar mediocre current but it opens new renovated in 2 weeks. These seem very superior. Good location for the surrounding beaches and downtown (restaurants, shops). Free Wifi but weak signal quality.

Cleaning tables by the pool is also not part of the daily routine. However, a boy from the towels is picking his nose half the day. Management?

Moment of Cleaning the rooms a disaster. The room was not cleaned a number of times at 5 pm. After complaining to the reception, the message is that it is possible until 5.30 p.m. This has never been communicated. And hanging the card "tidy my room" in the morning becomes such a farce.

Great hotel, but I would suggest if they want more people to try diving to have more advertising, staff are very open and friendly though and you can always ask anything you want bit of a language barrier sometimes but nothing that hand gestures and explanations wont sort really nice place would stay here again also not far from a shop the lively atmosphere of inside the castle and not far from the beach and marina

Very good facilities. Large apartments, comfortable and with very complete equipment. The very small double bed and the mattress very hard. It has no mattresses sounded a table and the mattress which makes it very uncomfortable. A pity for the quality of all the facilities and the explelent pools

Just returned from a very enjoyable week stay here. We had a one bed unit (478) overlooking the pool area. Staff very friendly, Pool area very clean, apartment very clean and cleaned all 7 days. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk to old town and beach. A few nice restaurants close to hotel which we used a few times. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

A good situation as it is midway between the beach and the city center. A good outdoor pool. One big minus is the outdoor parking is also paid, which devalues the location as there is almost no free parking next to the hotel .:

Highly recommend this place to family or friends. Couldn't fault it in any way. Staff are excellent and the place is kept immaculate. In the locality are many fabulous restaurants and a choice of beautiful beaches just a short walk away. 10 out of 10 for me. Pat Kelly.

Firstly, the maids were very thorough cleaning the apartment, and friendly. The room was affordable and basic however the main bedroom windows were blurred out as they were facing the corridor therefore only allowing a small amount of light into the bed room. Consequently, the room was quite dark. The air con was good but wouldn t wouldn t turn on in the day. The breakfast was awesome and the staff were very friendly. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. We spend many enjoyable days at the pool which was lovely and very good size. The pool side attendants were very friendly and kept the area clean and tidy. I also enjoyed the music that was being played through out the fab. The system for pool side towels was really useful as I didn t constantly need to bring my own down with me. The gym facility was very good, except for one rude lady at the gym reception one day. The steam room and sauna were excellent. It was a reasonable walk down to the town of Lagos however wouldn t be suitable for those we have mobility issues as going back to the hotel was all up hill.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is nothing to complain about. One criticism is the food. The breakfast is not special. For example, the scrambled eggs made from liquid eggs which sometimes did not cook properly. The dinner is a disaster for me, somehow everything tastes bland. It is not really warm either. The worst thing is the rooms. So clairaudient I have not experienced a hotel. You can hear everything that happens in the next room. Including the walk to the toilet. When the cleaning ladies push their car in the corridor, one thinks a train is driving in. But women can not help it. The tiles are to blame.

The aqualuz are in good location. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful, nothing too much trouble. The housekeeping was also efficient.
However the bar/restaurant staff are atrocious, rude, unwelcoming & condescending. Think they must really hate their jobs.. I asked for tomatoes on my toastie & you'd swear I'd asked for caviar to be shipped in from constantinopal!.. the said cold toastie cost me almost e10. I then had to wait over half an hr for some ice cream & I was the only person there.. the staff stand around talking really loudly amongst themselves.
The food & drinks prices are so high, actually in some cases higher then ireland & really awful. The atmosphere is non existent.. we felt we always had to go out, as soon bad..
We were sorry we booked the aqualuz as it really affected our holiday.
We always so look forward to the hotel bar/restaurant experience by the pool, but we only used twice..
The WiFi is also really bad..
This hotel is definitely no way near 4 star. The corridors are really long & grim, I didn't like walking on my own.. the apartments are spacious enough, but nothing special. We barely got a nights sleep as the beds are rock hard & the pillows really lumpy..
The kitchens are stocked really badly, not sufficient for a couple, let alone a family..
There aren't even lockers by the bedside & only 5 hangers in the wardrobe.. felt like my stuff was all over the place. Was so disappointed, as we were looking forward to a nice 4 star experience.

Beautiful hotel with gym, squash, sauna, steam, swimming (indoor and outdoor), bar etc. The lady at the reception helped us with some maps of Lagos and various possibilities to exploration in Lagos. They have suites, premium apartments, one bed apartments etc. Service and location is nice. Dona Ana beach is just 10-15 mins of walk. Camilo beach is 20 mins of walk from Aqualuz. They gave us Porto wine as a welcome gesture. As it was my birthday, they offered all of us a free drink. It was so nice of them. We had Mojito and it was superb. I recommend it!

It's nice clean and I have all I need. Food well I go outside to eat so I can't say pools are great cos the sea is cold. Fitness room if you need it breakfast do it yourself

Lagos is a really beautiful place and this hotel is excellent value for money.
Our third time staying here, and still as good as ever.
All the rooms we've had have been spot on, clean ( maid service every day), spacious, good balconies, aircon, etc.... No problems.
Excellent pools ( including two heated indoors), and free use of well equipped gym on site.
Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Can't comment too much on the food at the hotel as we usually ate out at many of the fantastic restaurants near by.
Although the snacks, toasties etc we had poolside were absolutely fine.
Great location, only downside that I could foresee was if you had any walking difficulties, as hotel is up a bit of an incline from the town, but still only a 10 min walk max.

If you are looking for a rest go your way, the hotel is very noisy (children's cries, or adults geulant above), so it is very poorly soundproof. In addition, the bedding is very uncomfortable. Otherwise the facilities are very good and we welcome is great.

Another small negative, there is no wifi in the rooms only at the reception

Staying at this hotel at the moment. Some facilities not available as advertised no spa, no Jacuzzi, no hairdresser.

We stayed here for a week at the start of May. It is a very well run place. Apartment was spotless and cleaned every day. Reception staff are very helpful and enthusiastic.You get one pass to the spa Centre per day. Outdoor swimming pool is excellent plenty of room.We also found it quiet ,and a nice walk in to the town. Highly recommended.

Nice room on holiday and cleaned daily. Good location - near enough to the town and far enough if preferred (approx 10 minutes walk).Staff were polite and the food was good although there could be a bit more variety in the buffet. Outdoor and indoor pools and the health and fitness area was very nice.

It is very good , the staffs are friendly and the rooms are very spacious and the location is very near to some of the beaches , apparently it costs less too, so worth to stay here and explore Lagos by walk

We liked it. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apt and sofa bed in the living room. Too bad in the fall the spa did not work properly.

A nice condo hotel with health club and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Apartments are nice but there is a scope of improvement in service and professionalism of hospitality. I wish you luck and would definitely come again.

Good hotel large clean rooms. Staff very good. Snack bar poor value and bland. Pop down to Cafe Baluarte for much better food and VFM only 3 mins walk away if looking for breakfast or lunch. Pool area good.

Very nice Hotel, clean and the apartments are lovely.

Cool place. Perfect location. Very close to a fantastic beach (Praia Sta. Ana) and the reception staff and the entertainers me and attentive to us and the little ones.
The downside, the night waiter service we had 2 people with little desire to serve and wanting to leave ... it is not good to behave like that in customer service.
Otherwise I would certainly repeat.
Special mention to the Cheerleaders Anastasia and Penelope. And to the 2 animation guys I can't remember their name.

10 days Lagos. The hotel has long passed its zenith.
It is clean and very friendly staff. But the decor itself is very in need of care and there is not enough invested .Badewannenrand, the whole Sylicon dissolves, many spots in all rooms not removed. Balcony doors (locking mechanism) have to be repaired otherwise everyone can board the terraces. The fitness area is totally used up and dated. Swimming pool inside is not usable by the chlorine gas. Breakfast carelessly presented.
In the bar area various stained seats. Beautiful is something else. Advantage: Central, also for grocery shopping. Large premises. Would use the object again only with favorable offer.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The room was fantastic, everything seemed like new - I believe they renovated recently. The outdoor area is very nice, though the pools aren't heated.

Strangely, they refused to provide us with an extra towel when asked, which left us feeling like the customer service was lacking a bit.
