It all depends on the person and how ready they are to get clean or not...the apt foundation offers a lot of resources for getting your life back on track but they're not going to j hand it to you, no one can do it for you, you have to do the footwork and be totally honest with them and with yourself..its a program designed to help individuals that are willing to actually help themselves...are there a lot of faults with the program? Absolutely! But that can be said about every program. As an addict it can be very easy to only look at and focus on the negative...it gives us something to blame and "justifies" our inability to quit...but when one changes their perspective and chooses to focus on the positives around them wonderful things start to happen. So the apt foundation can go either way...it can be a foot in the "right" direction for those who are ready to be honest with themselves and who are willing to do the work necessary to achieve and maintain a better lOR it can be j another "excuse" to not take responsibility or accountability for bettering yourself and your life.....so before listening to any of the reviews on here, positive or negative, take into consideration that said review depends largely on where the person who wrote it is in their recovery process and how ready they may or may not be to truly recover...with all that being said, I personally like the apt foundation...unlike other clinics I've been in they really try to work with you if you're willing to do the work...their harm reduction method I feel is much more beneficial than other clinics who will do a rapid detox if you test positive to marijuana...apt tests for it but could careless if it comes back positive or not...they are more concerned with people abusing drugs that are dangerous to use with methadone such as benzodiazepines, alcohol and other opiates...also, for the people who are ready and able to stay clean, apt is a fairly easy program to achieve "bottle privileges" at, and even offers two week bottle privileges to individuals who have proven they can be trusted with such responsibility....and even for those who are not yet ready to fully recover going to apt can still be beneficial and life saving by at least keeping them off the streets as much as they would be without it
