Good evening out. Brilliant atmosphere. Good music.

Bouncers are knobs, the prices are expensive but there's always a scrap so yh try it out

Good atmosphere. Actually did have a real parrot that could sing a couple of theme tunes! Live music the night we went in. Couldn't decide if the toilets were very very badly vandalised with writing scratched all on the walls or if it was a sort of urban chic designer scratching add there wad so much. Steak was very good and the food was mysteriously delivered through the front door so no idea where the kitchen is? All in all a unique pub I'm glad I came across

Great pud at the weekend for bands and young talent coming through

Dark and dingy rock style pub. Has a unique atmosphere that could only be found in such a place. Difficult to describe but if you went you'd understand. Loud heavy music and an actual parrot. Hope he likes the music.

My band played this venue and its quirky, laid out extremely well and the crowd was one of the best we've ever had!

Nice pub. Went for a quick drink in the afternoon. Looks like a good pub for an evening drink. What let it down for me was the toilets.

1st night guy behind the bar was OK watched football 2nd night young guys were in.young girls serving.Stood at bar like I was invisible bloody ageist. Walked out spent my money elsewhere. Not many in either

Great venue with a good atmosphere. Friendly staff and a good range of drinks. Including a mind boggling selection of rums.

Not a bad pub, as long as you don't mind the noisy parrot lol

Great live music venue with a fantastic range of beers, ciders and gin.

We received a friendly welcome and we're able to take the dog in too. Dogs are welcome up to 8pm.

Amazing food, had the burger with pulled pork. Highly recommend it, if you are hungry enough. Just and only just managed to finish it.

Friendly people, Tim grey parrot is good laugh, will definitely come in again

Awesome bar for live music ,good selection of ciders, rum and ales friendly staff and characters of the local variety. Great place to watch local sports have a game of pool etc

Food is great contrary to other reviews previous to this the apple and parrot doesnt have a kitchen but is owned by jam leisure who own the restaurant (in day and evening) and club (at night) across the road called park lane when you order food it is made at parklane and brought over to you by the kitchen/waiting staff all food is cooked to order and id highly reccomend the nachos especially with the pulled pork, gourmet burgers etc, the staff are happy to answer any questions or queries you have.

Last but not least is the fun parrot who is the bar mascot. The pub is also dog friendly and staff even come for a cuddle and bring the dogs water etc if need be just ask at the bar =)

If you're torn between two drinks and not sure what to do the staff will help you consult the coin of destiny so solve the solution its all fun and games and youll have a great time!

Disgusting toilets. Dirty seats. General feeling of grime. If it were cleaned once in a while, it could be ok

Good selection of real ales top shelf spirits, selection of rums, lugger rum really nice, friendly staff, pool table, live music, unfortunately didn't get a chance to experience this but I'm sure it would pack the the place.

Came in here on an afternoon and ordered food. It took half an hour for it to arrive, and when it did it was brought in by a guy who came from outside the building. The pizza was in a takeaway box. Pretty obviously, they'd just sent someone to the local kebab place for our order. I could have done that myself.
To an insult to injury, the food was cold and the pizza had been cut into weird strips and rearranged, instead of arriving in the usual circle shape. Meaning they'd sent someone to the takeaway for our order, not even collected it with any speed, and we may not have got a full sized order anyway. Astonishing.

Went to torquay for a few days with my kids over easter. One who is 15 loved it at the apple( only drinking coke)

Metal Monday is fantastic. Great atmosphere and fantastic bar staff.

Hit the parrot rather than the wife, so all was good

It was like going back in the 1960s, authentic decor and furnishings. The barmaid was efficient and charming. A good old fashioned boozer.

Late night pub atmosphere. Has a parrot. Improved furniture in recent refit. Lot's of live music and sport.

Went in here on a football day.
Couldn't fault the amount of tele's in there. No problem viewing the footy.
Live bands on later which was good. Made it all a really good night.
Major hat's off to the very hard working bar staff. Deserved a medal that day
Coco & The Butterfields were spot on + other bands were good also.

An absolutely amazing joint! If the bar maid gave me her number then I wouldn't have kicked the local midget and not of pissed on the toilet floor. Other than that problem it was a brilliant place to take my 2 four year olds for a pint :)

Great little music venue, good selection of beers and ciders. Need to turn the heating off when there's a gig on far to hot in there.

Bloody yummy pub always make you feel welcome and safe so helpful and cheerfull ps nice place relaxing and the parrot always says hello xxx

There is a pool, groups that come to play regularly and jam session on Monday :)

Very nice place with nice atmosphere in it. Bartenders usually very polite, pub gets very busy sometimes but it's worth to get in, at least for one :-)
