There's something wrong with this place.. I stop by SoFrance at 10am on a Sunday. The sign says they've been open for an hour but there's no one inside. You have to order at the Cafe counter because the bistro is closed.. it's the same More

Conveniently located within a 5min walk from Bugis MRT. This small French bistro which is located within the Duo development serves excellent quiche and the chocolate marble cake is excellent. There is also a small French supermarket where one can buy French produce. Can get crowded during peak lunch hours.

We frequent this place for ambiance, great French wine and for the sheer love of French Bread. Thursday and Friday nights are packed and it is worth booking in advance. Service is 4 .9 star as I did not get a seat on the bar last Friday.

We frequent this place every Friday evening and visit is worth it.

You can stop by for a quick drink @ the bar or chose to go for the 3 course meal. Judging by the emotions, body language and crowd of the diners & service staff, food & service is good and So France is a must try.

Service staff know what they are doing and serve wine as per the Etiquette. Occasional French greetings add an Extra charm.

Worth trying a collection of great French food and a decent collection of French wine, meats and delights for you to take home.

Bon Appetite.

Food is tasty with a good selection of items. The shop selling foodstuff from France has good variety too. Unfortunately the menu wasnt updated and the staff could have been more friendly for the price range of the restaurant. Nonetheless we enjoyed the stews that he had that day

Last time, 8 month ago I gave maximum points but today's father's day lunch was a disappointment: seems without proper management the services falls into chaos some things are not available, even a bottle of water cannot not arrive and have to ask again, the apple crumble slips off the plate, etc. So said expected this place to be a steady favourite and now it was discouraging. The food itself was still pretty good, but the service: really not So France.

Five stars for everything! Food, drinks, service, etc. I go here a lot and I always have a great time. Food is amazing for brunch and dinner. The store and coffee and snacks are all great too. I have nothing bad to say! I only wish it was open later on weekdays.

I discovered the gourmet shop first with only good French products including cheese, pastries and groceries. Many new products have arrived. Juliette Seraille jams are great. We tried the bistro and everything was very good. The charcuterie board and cheeses very copious, the duck pie I love. the flowing chocolate cake, great with a Floc de Gascogne shooter proposed by the manager. Relax service see even a little fast at night. but nice. Good discovery, we'll come back

Had a Cappuccino and Croissant for breakfast. Great and friendly service. Coffee was excellent, finally a nice croissant. The right colour, buttery, the edges crunchy and the center soft with just the right amount of layers. Coffee and Croissant combo makes it a better value too. Will be back for sure.

A place that specialises in South western food from France and can't cook a magret is a joke. Rarely had fries as bad as these.

Honestly avoid the place.

Everything was perfect. I had the lamb shank and my wife the sea bass. Both meals and the red wine were perfect. Complimentary bread was also tasty with French butter. Perfect choice for lunch on my 50th birthday. My wife has been before and said the coffee and salad were awesome.

Service crew, Joy, is bad as she can't even make a good cup of cappuccino cos she has to scope the foam from the milk that she steamed to top-up the coffee. I think she doesn't know the pouring technique. May be she's new. By the way, she 's also very rude.

The French typically make rillettes from duck. The delicious spread is made up of duck leg meat marinated for four hours, rinsed and sous vide and rested for about 26 hours before shredded. The spread has incorporated with very cold duck fat, making a delectable spread on croutons. Without hesitation, we have also finished the jar of cornichons (fermented cucumbers). Added crunch and piquancy to any of the dishes from beef burger to duck confit and everything in between for a bite unlike any other. - Read more at foodgem .sg

A succulent and friendly French bistro near Andaz. Duck liver terrine, French onion soup, bavette roulee with panfried duck liver, wine marinated beef cheeks, truffle brie cheese and caneles profiterols. Everything excellent and so tasty. Chateau La Perdrix was a beautiful discovery although not a Bordeaux! nice staff and beautiful manager. Really a good good evening with my best friend in Singapore. Will come back for sure!

Very good service and very good food.
The Croque Madame was amazing, it should come with more salad. But the taste is very authentic and it is very big.
The meat (all the steak) are really amazing.

Our first time at So France. Happy hour lasts till 8 pm and includes beer and all sorts of wine. The happy hour price is super friendly. The service Is AMAZING!!! The terrace is very pretty and inviting. We only had a cold cuts and and cheese platter, nevertheless very happy to see familiar cheeses and cold cuts in Singapore.

Amazing service. Staff was very was warm towards my family and was always around to help us with the menu etc. Recommended items by the staff did not disappoint either. Special shoutout to Christian whom I believe is the manager. He was very kind and engaging to everyone. And also to the two waitresses who always tended to our requests with a lot of energy and kindness.

Delicious brunch food - we ordered the croque madame, duck hash and eggs benedict. Not the best eggs ben I've had but the first 2 were awesome. Great service and atmosphere too!

Coffee was not bad but I don't recommend the matcha latte as it was very diluted.

My friend told me about a place where their croissant tastes better than Lune in Melbourne. That was such a claim that I had my hope really high. I got there at 10.30am, bought a croissant and a soy capp and was severely disappointed. The croissant wasn't as airy as it could be, wasn't as buttery as it should be. Their espresso was burnt hence the soy capp was a bitter, missed balanced drink. Additionally, the barista was really sour, glaring with everything she did and uttered not a single word even when handing out drinks. Anyway, safe to say, their croissant is incomparable to Lune's.

The food tastes average and the appearance of some dishes could be better. The 1 star is for the service received. Especially the attitude of the restaurant manager! The restaurant is mostly empty with plenty of empty seats, so you can t accommodate a customer preference for where they want to be seated? You will not be getting many returns if the attitude doesn t change.

The venue is cool. But the waitress was really pushy to get us to buy a more expensive wine.. that wasn't good not worth the money at all. Very disappointed with the hardselling and the quality of a so-called wine bar. They also started to pack the decoration around 10:30pm on a Saturday...
Anyway, won't come back.

The food mart section is nice. Lots a unique items only found here. Bakery is great, took away some stuff for breakfast the next day. Friendly staff at the cashier to introduce items and taste test.

I only had a dessert at the restaurant. The lava cake is not something I like. The top of the cake seems to be smeared with cheese from the taste and smell, wait staff claims it to be icing sugar. Definitely not eating this again.

Good French food, will definitely be back! Baked Camembert cheese, beef tartare, pork chop, duck confit, duck breast, cod were all excellent. Steak was cooked nicely as well.

Also had a good wine recommendation from our server that we enjoyed.

Service was mostly prompt and friendly. Only thing was that they didn t allow us to cut our birthday cake there, though they allowed us to take photos with it.

Set lunch menu at 28++ for 2-course set and at 32++ for 3-course set.
Very tasty pasta. Portion is good, I got 3 courses hut couldn t finish.
A little pricey at we ended up paying $85 for 2 pax, including water and an expresso. But worth it. Will come back for sure.
The grocery store in the back is also very interesting with great varieties. I got Bordier butter with 50% off promo.

Came for dinner with a couple of friends and it seems to be recently opened as it wasn't very crowded - surprising, since they have pretty good deals on wine. The clientele however, was mostly French which felt like a pretty good endorsement.

We wanted to order a moderately priced wine, and they offered us a suggestion in the wine list (there are two! One behind the food menu, and a separate, more extensive one so make sure you get both). It was a Merlot/Cabernet blend if I remember right, and was pretty great.

We shared the charcuterie platter and baked brie as appetizers. The charcuterie platter was way more generous than I thought it would be and a pretty good deal! There were 4-5 types of cold cuts, a bowl of pate, cornichons, tomatoes and some other type of pickle. We all loved the baked brie which was drizzled with honey, and served with crunchy slices of baguette. Yum.

For our mains, we had the beef cheek stew and duck confit gratin - both tasted pretty good. However, I found it a little strange that they should offer such heavy mains in Singapore what with the warm weather and all. For dessert, we shared a lava cake, which was fine, but nothing to write home about.

Next time, I'll stick with appetizers and wine. You can't go wrong with that and with such generous portions, they can actually make up a good meal.

A group of us walked in for a drink after dinner and we ordered the cheese platter and of course, some drinks.

We were a big group and some orders were missing but that s ok. The cheese platter was great and they replenished our bread readily after we ask for more.

Nice deco and open kitchen setup.

Brought my aunt and fam to this place for a birthday dinner celebration on Monday. I had made reservations a day before and our table was all set and ready for us upon arrival. We ordered appetizers such as the escargots, foie gras, meat platter, a salad and we also had the standard bread served up. Food items did not take long to arrive and appetizers definitely started off well. The butter they served with the bread was lightly salted and goes very well but sadly they do not sell them in their retail outlet. We ordered the atlanic cod, ribeye steak, pork chop, duck confit and a kid's chicken pasta. All the main were delicious except for the pasta which was mediocre. I must say though that the pork chop and confit was exceptionally done. I do not usually eat the fats but for the pork chop, the fats just melted in my mouth which was amazing. The duck confit was also very tender that the meat jus fell off the bone. Very nicely flavoured too. I highly recommend this place and definitely go for the chocolate donuts. The donuts are really to die for. Thanks So France for the wonderful evening.

Having missed travelling during this holiday season, we re delighted to have found this restaurant.

Having alfresco dining space as well as as indoor restaurant, lets u choose an ambiance that suits you based on Singapore s unpredictable weather.

We enjoyed the Salmon Tartare as an appetizer, and mains of Duck Confit and Steak Frites... Each dish was flavorful and well presented. Taste and texture met our expectations, staff were polite and attentive as well.

Chocolate lava cake and Profiteroles added a delightful finish to the meal.

Underwhelming starters, had escargot, crab salad, duck rilette... Did not make it to main courses. Duck rilette was too dry as it was stored in the refrigerator, could have thawed it. Escargot, little too chewy for my liking. Crab salad was passable with quite a bit of shells. Happy hour drinks were great!

I had an enjoyable lunch 3 course set meal on a weekday. The soup , main course and dessert were surprisingly generous in portions. I had a huge bowl of cauliflower soup and cod fish which taste great. I like the ambience and relaxed vibe in the outdoor dining area. There is a retail area with imported food stuff, worth a close look and I got some cookies. I will definitely be back again.

The food was as awesome as the wine selected too. Some quiet place that you wanted to tuck in & chill for the rest of your weekend. The only flaw was we should have chosen a cooling table seat in the restaurant but the outside high chair seats looks amazingly wonderful to be at (just Singapore weather is way too humid and hot these few days). Should have some cooking fan or mobile air cond to keep those seated outside more comfortable. Definitely will be back for other food options as we only tried the steak and cheese platter for a 2 ladies appetite. The rib-eye steak was nicely medium done and it goes very well with or without their sauce.

Service: suggest not to patronise if you do not speak French. The waiter (no uniform) expects customers to pronounce the name of dish ordered instead of pointing at the menu. He was rude and purposely embarrassed us by saying out the dish name aloud with disgusted look.
Food: too much vinegar in the salad until I had upset gastric for a while
Overall, not worth the money to dine there for such service and food.
