Absolutely the worst and dirtiest neighborhood in New York City. If it's not the junkies that bother you it's the random people shouting they hate white people. Not a place to bring a date or family too unless you have a gun. I've lived in every Boro in New York and Harlem is disgusting

Stale popcorn, sits uncomfortable, show didn't start on time. First come patrons were sitted on top. Very disappointing.

The NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK show was great (as they are amazing)- very surprised how small the venue was. They seemed to have a lot of technically difficulties- started late and had issues throughout the show. My personal issue made my trip not an overall success. I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids - I called the day I ordered tickets to request a hearing impaired device. I was informed they did not have anything available. When I requested to speak with House Manager he informed me they did and would have one for me when I arrived- from Boston. I got to the show and was handed the device I am used to using- the only difference was it had Ear Pods (go inside your ears) 90% of hearing impaired people depend on aids. All other venues have standard headphones available- to go over the aids. Needless to say I was very upset and missed a lot of the show because I could no hear them. I spent a lot of money/time/travel to be at this event and was unable to enjoy the whole thing. Reminded me that my disability is a problem when it should not have been. Yes it as an OLD theater but technology should not have anything to do with that. I do hope this review helps them to improve for future guests.

Worst venue I've ever been to. Staff is incompetent, seats are uncomfortable, venue is cramped and claustrophobic, drinks were way overpriced. Doors opened an hour late. This place is a disaster. Avoid at all costs.

Don't go to this theater i went there a month ago and i got bed bugs bite all over my chest .It was in theater 1.The staff they already knew there was bed bugs there and didn't do anything about it.

Why do I have to be patted down and wanted to see a violin concert. Didn't happen on Broadway,or at the Beacon. Just sad.

The visit must be booked in advance and from outside the building says nothing interesting. Disappointment

I spent money in the gift shop, and they wouldn't give a patron the courtesy of a restroom visit. They sent patrons to Red Lobster, they were accommodating. Tour guide on vacation for two weeks = no tours = not informed before arrival. Sidewalk was cool though.

The worst place to see shows. Lots of seats on the 2nd floor have no views and the theater management claims it's the point of sale issue. Not sure how they think they are part the problem? I was extremely disappointed by the answers from Apollo theater.

Don't like the way this venue has change to one that seem not to want to cater to the Black community at all anymore.

I didn't get a chance to go to the Apollo, but went to eat at red lobster food was a 6 out of 10. Then went to Magic Jonhson theater the movie is going down hill fast the staff is walking around on their cell phone they burned my pizza and I missed the first part of te movie. I willbe taking my business back to the lower part of Manhattan

How do they run out of programs for their shows? I know I was a little late but still. And why was my bag searched(withouy my consent or me being present) while in bag check!? Not cool at all.

Was sitting on row 0 #107 and chair broke not kool. Funny show but very uncomfortable...

The staff was rude, pushy, yelling and unprofessional - after opening the doors an hour late - doors don't usually open at the same time as show start time. Completely ruined the experience.

This place has been in existence for decades and I have never seen a bathroom so small that I literally had to crack the door in order to sit on the toilet

Went to audition with my brother(on the left) and we didn't even get a chance to step foot in the door because they had already picked who they wanted and they turned away hundreds maybe thousands of people in front and behind me. Auditions started at "10:30am" and we were there an hour early. But they let people in that camped out the night before. Very unprofessional. But there loss because there missing out on a lot of great talent, including myself.

Wednesday November 23, 2016 @ the Apollo theater , started out exciting . The top dog acts were amazing and then the bullshit . How can you bluntly cheat the real winners . The young girl that sang Angela Davis son We rise , was outer this world yet she lost . BS. Then the violinist lost BS. Shame on you Capone for being a part of the Bullshit .

Security staff was rude. Ventilation was horrible. Couldn't see the screens from half of the mezzanine section

Not enough leg space. .Some safety issues need to be addtess.

After all these years there no reason why the Apollo is not the whole block , or at half. All the stars that made money there . It's so sad . .

Amateur night at the Apollo. The compare was really bad (self indulgent old jokes) and took up all of the time. There were 5 acts, there could have been 15 in the time. Sorry a really poor night out. Please change the format. Also leaving the theater was really dangerous. There was a crush and it took more than 15 min to move from the theater.

Good mood last night but the sound engineers don't know at all the job.The sound was definitely TOO LOUD. Impossible to appreciate the show.
