Iconic place that catapulted to fame to singers numbers emerged from the talents of the Gospel choirs of Harlem

The movie was great had so much fun and the staff is so nice

Don't go to this theater i went there a month ago and i got bed bugs bite all over my chest .It was in theater 1.The staff they already knew there was bed bugs there and didn't do anything about it.

The Apollo will always be a landmark in Harlem. A beacon of hope and a place where stars are discovered.

Loved the experience of being there. There's nothing like it.

I had one of the best times ever. The host is amazingly funny. The acts were good. The DJ was good as well. Seats are small and compacted together but it was worth it. I could feel the history.

Clean, great staff. Every orchestra seat is a good one; even in the very back.

It's a must visit spot. If you haven't been there, you've gotta - whether it's for comedy, amateur night, or a concert. I went here for the recent amateur night finals and I also came here for a David Sedaris reading. Two very different events in the same venue. It manages to not feel super cramped, even when the audience is more filled out. Hard to not love it from the sign outside to the old-school feel of the seating area.

Wednesday is Amateur night and what a night! Don't even think about it, just go! Go go GO!

Timeless theater with so much charm. Great size space to feel large yet intimate enough to really enjoy yourself.

A good friend treated me to the first night of WOW festival. The guest was the one n only Nikki Giovanni presented by n in conversation with, Johnnetta B.Cole. What an outstanding evening!

Great production (Soundtrack '63) in a beautiful, historic setting. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent amateur night performances but volume turned up to high to the point that your ears hurt and the sound is distorted

This place have rats and it's nice to see people come out into the neighborhood. You don't get to see all the time but for the price of money and a small place that it is I say Apollo is great but they need to fix it because it has many rats and broken seats and is uncomfortable lines and for this to be a star-studded place it should look like one thank you amen

Amazing. The gift shop needs work and the theatre is a lot smaller in person. But I felt humbled being there in the place where all of the greats have been. Fabulous photos of all the stars on the staircases

We had the most wonderful time here .From the fun and young atmosphere to the great music the little dance number the young men and women did to the greatest food ever !!! We went to celebrate our anniversary and had the best time.. The drinks are really good...Our server was a doll Kiayanna she made sure all is well ...Cant wait to go back with a group of friends ! Amateur night was a fun night. So many great contestants too!

A wide variety of entertainment, not very expensive for tickets,convenient. ..it's never the same atmosphere (always entertaining)

Awesome! I saw Amanda Seales' #smartfunnyblack and thought it was the perfect venue for such a culturally relevant show.

My friends and I enjoy going to the Apollo Theater for the Wednesday amateur nights. It's a bit all lives matter for historically black theater, but I guess you need to change with the time if you want to stay open. The musicians are amazing and they give them their own solos during the second half of the show. For all my larger plus size people you will comfortably fit into these seats if you are a 4X and smaller. There's no elevator so keep that in mind if you're taking someone who is not great at walking up more than two flights of stairs to get to the balcony or mezzanine area. The oceans are very kind and will gladly help you with anything you need and the gift shop is at the front of the theater. I would recommend getting anything from the gift shop before the show starts, so you won't have to deal with the large mass of people who are trying to leave and also buy products at the end of the show.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Apollo Theater with my youngest daughter last year! We didn't have time to catch a show, but it's always a great experience to see this historic location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Apollo, especially because we could not go to the Wednesday amateur program! We had fun and learned some interesting history!

A gorgeous theater that has been lavishly restored. You can really feel the history here, and it feels well-tended. I hope and plan to come back!

We came here for the Amateur Night and we were not disappointed! The host was hilarious and CJ was amazing in tap dance and everything else. It was nice to see so many talented people competing for a few spots to advance to the next level.

This was a great historical venue to witness all the performances and talents. The seats are a little cramped but the host makes it fun!

I think everyone should at least come here once in their life to witness the old glory.

Staff is ok, prices for drinks are expensive, but the place is clean.

Such a beautiful place to visit. The concert that I attended was AMAZING!! The Upper Mezzanine has tight seating, but the price was decent. Overall, enjoyed my time here.

The performances by Mo'Nique and ToneX was phenomenal. I cannot wait until they come again!

This place is part of the history of the Afro-American neighborhood of Harlem. Visiting it is like being reflected in those times of the racial separation of the United States.

All the legends performed here. Definitely a place to visit. Historical place.

The Apollo Theater is a Land Mark establishment that I have been patronizing and attending and attending events for over 50 years.

The Apollo is one of the Grand Pillars in Harlem. I feel Happy and Blessed to have been exposed to all the many artists that are now famous thst received Their start right there on the stage of the Apollo Theater.

I did the tour and learned the history of the Apollo Theater. If you have not taken the tour, then you should. This place is so rich in history.

Had a great time. The hypeman, the host and the contestants. Just a fun time. Went by way too quick! Great time!!

It was nice, it could always be better though.. i didnt like how the security guy grabbed me from behind just to check my bag. They make you throw out food just so you can buy the ones that they sell and i wasnt aware of that. What about those whom are diabetic and may not have extra to purchase from here or no cash on hand???

After all it is the legendary Apollo Theater! And it's air conditioned! The seats will accommodate wide hips but not long legs. For more comfort you can purchase balcony seats.
