Had a great time enjoyed the heck out of amateur NIGHT!
Great historical venue with live music and lots of events for the community. A staple of harlem. If you are visiting I suggest going to a function
Balcony area is really tight seating no leg space drinks very expensive
Reference center for visiting Harlem, and for its curriculum of artists who have passed through it.
The Apollo is a national treasure located in Harlem on the world famous 125th Street. There have been many famous entertainers who received their start right on the famous Apollo stage.
It was closed when I was there but still got a chance to put my 's on it!!!
I went to the amateur contest from the beginning to the end. A very entertaining evening with the trip and admission. I followed a dinner Richard Perez who covered Michael Jackson's dirty dianna. He was incredible
Place full of history in the middle of Harlem. Great artists played here. Each month new artists perform in the very same place that Michael Jackson, Metallica and other well known artists played.
Catch some of the most talented, plus up and coming talent, right here! Where legends are born!
Its World Famos and there are always great performers.
Best location. Staff was friendly and very Informative. Will be going back.
Amateur night....Great show! Very entertaining....lots of energy.
Even more beautiful seeing it after so many years!!!
The grand lady of Harlem always a nice place to go to.
Lady birthday was classic in the Harlem finest show place
Seeing and enjoying the Apollo Theater where my nephew won and now host....
SO worth the drive from Toronto! Went to Amateur Night and had such a blast! Check in was smooth and seating was no fuss. Will be back!
WORLD FAMOUS! What a thrill it was to take it all in!!!
Great place to take visitors, especially singers & entertainers, who want to bask in the glow of Great Black Entertainers...the sidewalk plaques, the picture mural, the good luck log & the gift shop are all amazing !
Certainly an iconic theater, but a bit dated. The Apollo has hosted many memorable performances and the atmosphere is great. However, the theater itself could use a renovation. While the seating makes you feel close to the stage, they are cramped. I'm only 5'10" and while seated all the way back my shins touched the seat in front of me. I've been on airlines with better legroom.
It may not be my preferred theater, but I would attend another performance here.
Mystery Theater is the best guide in the world best human in the planet you will love mr. Apollo
It's just amazing. In the west Harlem of Manhattan, New York.
I love the Apollo experience, glamour, vintage and classic is how I feel inde the Apollo Theater.
The staff is great and they were very professional. I also felt the history remained. Definitely going!
Just to be in the presence of something I grew up watching was beyond belief.
Landmark historic building. Great atmosphere. Beware the Amateur Night where people go just to hate.
Won free tickets from siriusxm to attend a rock the vote forum. It was a great experience. It really was my first time EVER GOIN TO THE APOLLO..
At least we still have something on 125 st. R.I.P Ms. Eva.
One of the best entertainment values in NYC occurs on Wednesdays for Amateur Night at the Apollo
They have so many venues and it's a historical place. What's not to like?
Such a marvelous place! Goosebumps!! Sorry I'll have to miss Lisa Fischer.
Awesome, beautiful, amazing. A great experience coming here on amateur night. Highly highly recommended
A great moment for the amateur night, I recommend to everyone
It was great seeing this iconic place, although I didn't get to see any performances
Great place, but in the evening I would not risk it
Was there for Conan show. Great staff and fair prices!
I liked it i saw the wall of signatures and the hopeful tree stub
Worst venue I've ever been to. Staff is incompetent, seats are uncomfortable, venue is cramped and claustrophobic, drinks were way overpriced. Doors opened an hour late. This place is a disaster. Avoid at all costs.
Apollo is still great after all these years was there for showtime at the Apollo with Steve Harvey enjoyed it immensely
This historical theatre is still a great place to watch from a New Orleans band to Pharell Williams. They also have the amateur night on wednesdays which is very fun and worthy the trip to Harlem
It was my first time at the Apollo, had such an awesome night. The comedian Capone kept me laughing the whole night. The performers were all amazing, and so talented. I loved the whole experience, and would definitely recommend it to family / friends.
Crazy super fun. Food was OK but the piano players are awesome. Great entertainment and they know how to get the crowd involved. If you go, you'll find it a lot easier to get in if you place a reservation. The earlier the better.
Not only was the cultural significance was incredibly impactful, but the theatre itself was beautiful.
Performing there four times for amateur night was a privilege.
Had a fun night out, awesome show and great talent.
Still great after all these years, have not been here in ages , but it somehow has the same magic I experienced as a child. Go see, hear and be there!!!
Just a place where you would love to go the people are friendly
I enjoyed the Friday show with Nina and Me Ledisi she was Awesome as usual I was in the Lower Mezzanine level the seating was very uncomfortable I know the changes were to make more seating but For a 5"9 and taller wasn't a good fit and alot of ppl were complaining your attendants were polite if more changes can be made more room is needed
The atmosphere that is summoned by the legend that is Apollo is so all consuming. I am struggling to think when I've been in an environment where I could not get away with giving anything other than 100% participation. It was an amazing time. In an amazing theatre. With Amazing for company.
Must go to for tourists I regret no photos. There is a lot of history in that place, see President Obama's signature.on the wall. Harlem is full of history
