Need I say more.....it's the apollo put it on your bucket list
Always great to be around and inside the Apollo the world famous Apollo
This is a great old theater. The seats are uncomfortable, the show we saw [James Taylor] had bad sound [was it house sound or JT's?? - don't know]. But if the show you want to see is there, you might not have another venue choice.
That was a great evening, full of fun, laughter and love. I had a great time, watching new talent. I have been in New York for nearly 4 years but this was memorable, really special. Comedian Capone was totally awesome. Thank you Apollo.
Historic and a cool place to go. If you get a chance step inside. I think this is a place you need to see.
Saw Weird Al here. Great show, nice cozy little theater. Staff was pretty fast at getting people through lines.
Please be aware that Cd will come to sell. It is best not to hesitate.
There's everything to love about the Apollo theater. You can feel the history in the walls, the decor, the Tree of Hope onstage... The DJ was hyped, the band was excellent, the comedy was tight, and the energy was Amazing! Harlem, New York, and Apollo: a match made in heaven. Thank you Apollo!
Beautiful theater, reminiscent of the past.. Good view from most seats, but be aware that the seats are very tight. If you have knee problems or are on the taller side, choose aisle seats!
Seats are too small and it's incredibly hot in there.
Random. You will be surprised to see shows that amaz you. Plus, you are in a venue that is historic. Go!
Highly recommend for anyone to attend the amateurs night on Wednesdays. Cheap and worth every penny. For a historical and very entertaining night.
Excellent concert... Hezekiah Walker & CeCe Winan...excellent seats top balcony, crowd in the Christmas spirit...I grew up going to the Apollo, it like going home.
I'm just glad that the Apollo Theater didn't close down because it's been around for years and I hope it stays around for more and more and more years
Great place to see a show. But needs to update bathrooms. Other than that, great time!
Emblematic site of New York from where true geniuses have left
An emblematic place from the 70s and 80s. A step in the pilgrimage of Michael Jackson fans through New York City, along with Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station (Bad video clip ) and others.
APOLLO is the place were stars are born, shopping in the area everything about it was great.
Seats aren't made for tall people but other than that
Well, i was hyped to enter because from childhood, i was hyped to go to the "APOLLO" . I got inside and it was sooo small meanwhile tv made it look sooo big.
Enjoyed the evening. Great hosts and entertainment
Just saw an old school hip hop show there..it was so cool and I felt safe.
Th history of the building was intact outside. My niece, a millennial, was able to touch a bit of entertainment history.
Didn't go in but will be returning back to do a tour most likely next year.
Its like a party - you can't help but have a great time. The MC, dj and other staff are so professional they rope you in and make sure you have a blast. Amateur night on Wednesdays is fantastic and so affordable - date night or just friends poonight out its fun. The other shows that are put on there are great too.
I did not visit it inside but only the hall,
cmq place that has made the history of black music
One of the best time in my life moving from Florida back to Harlem
Great place for entertainment, and to see artist. They have an Amateur Night that the audience's get to rate. Prices are reasonable for entrance fee, senior/children discounts. For a night out with laughter and fun, I recommend it. Check online for event , time, and interest you want.
Will always be a great place to visit, if your from out of town.
A lovely, historic gem! Perfect size venue. Every seat is great!
Was a lot smaller than I thought. But the history of this place is why I went to see it. If I am being honest, the street it's on is a little scary. Some strange people
Its amazing. You will be having fun and enjoyment thr
We found the lines outside to be extremely confusing. We discovered after standing in wrong line after wrong line that there were three will call lines for tickets not bought directly through the theater. Then two for the theater box office, that weren't moving, that all ended up merging together in a huge group of confused people. There were a couple of ushers standing outside, none of which seemed to care enough to help the crowds try to organize. Then once inside the show had a mic issue, lighting issues and we could hear the engineer giving calls all throughout the night from the booth. Full voice calls even during quiet moments of the show. It was very bizarre. Luckily, Van Jones went with all the punches, got the show back on track without skipping a beat and the audience seemed to have a positive experience.
We could only see it outside and the store. It transmits good vibes and we missed attending a performance. We already have an excuse to return to NYC. A lot of jazz history. Thank you
If you have never been to the Apollo, it's a must see. Billy "Mr. Apollo" Mitchell is an angel in disguise. Magical experience.
Wednesdays always amateur nights !! For $ 20 the hammer !!
I always loved the Apollo since I was a small child
Legendary. Everyone needs to visit the Apollo at least once in their life
Historical theater. Sinatra, M jackson and more ....
The show was fantastic and the staff was professional.
I've been to the Apollo on many different occasions whether it was for the world famous amateur night, a concert, a viewing of the presidential debate, or a podcast live show. Each time I have enjoyed being I n the theater and the energy it brings. I love how they can have a plethora of different events in the space. Pricy drinks but that's typical for any nyc venue.
It was a great educational experience. The acting Ensemble was wonderful. My students and I learned so much about the Civil Rights Movement. I would definitely do it again. My only quip is that is started quite late. However, I would definitely do it again.
I went to see a movie premier the staff was so helpful with get us our seats
Very beautiful building and this place is so historic
Epic place where almost all artists started their carreers.. the place has its own walk of fame
I had the opportunity to buy some items from the gift shop and rub the log. The employees were nice and helpful. The four star rating is because tours have to be scheduled in advance so we couldn't see the theater.
