Legendary but the show we were going to see was canceled.

Love the Apollo historic theater ever since I was a little girl when I first saw the Temptations at the Apollo at the age of 10

Great place, to spend time and enjoy your self. With great history and humor.

A place where you can feel the energy of Harlem
I went to an amateur night on Wednesday
Newcomers singers, rappers and dancers perform and value audience cheers and boos
Both the moderator and the audience are good and you can enjoy just watching
When I went out of the theater after the concert, I was lucky to have a rapper who just performed that day and talk a little bit
I want to repeat as many times as I can in NY

Amazing!! So good e energy, everybody happy and having fun, laughing and until dancing. And that amauter performances, was so great!

Really awesome venue. Just know that the Upper Mezzanine is a steep nosebleed view of the stage. so if there is anything projected onto a screen in the back of the stage you will miss it.

Amateur Night, it s a good opportunity to visit The Apollo Theater, much music and much fun

We thoroughly enjoyed amateur night at the Apollo theatre where the talent was determined by the audience. If you are ever in New York I recommend putting it on your to do list.

Beautiful theater located in the Harlem neighborhood, north of Manhattan. Plates by different well-known artists happened through there, among them, Michael Jackson.

1st time at the Apollo for Amanda Seals Smart Funny and Black show. The venue was smaller than i thought but overall was a good experience

The staff was rude, pushy, yelling and unprofessional - after opening the doors an hour late - doors don't usually open at the same time as show start time. Completely ruined the experience.

It's a monument to see black performances, and talent

World-class venue full of history and a big contributor to African American culture. Tickets are affordable here. Has a wonderful comedy club that hosts legit pros from all over the country. Was very impressed and can't wait to visit again. Great location on 125th Street.

By time this was start for another part of art. May be this time is far and could not be in present. In theater this time far away is present.

FANTASTIC environment and great displays of various talented artists.

Although I've been a resident for 17 years, I've only been to Amateur night recently - twice in the past year. I was pleasantly surprised how tight the evening runs when the acts are (by nature of the fact that it's a competition) unpredictable. Of course Harlem is the big star here as the more full the crowd, the wilder the energy. During the first half of the show the house band led my Michael O. Mitchell really get to shine and they've recently had some upgrades to the lighting which make things pop a little more. The evening wraps by 10:30, but everything keeps moving. Darryl J Williams was the star of the show with his Whitney rendition - don't think I've ever heard anyone sing like that. The nights that I went there was very little booing, which I was disappointed by, but it was still a great NYC night out. Everyone should go at least once.

It was good they had amazing singers and the drums were on point and the dancers were happy and joyful so I liked it

Classic Amatuer night at the world famous Apollo, LIT AF. I've been going for 30 years. If you haven't been you are depriving yourself honestly. Treat yourself to a memorable experience. Truly!

Very cool amateur night every Wednesday. Comedy and music like no other in Harlem! Last time the music was very loud (hurt our ears). Please loud music is fine but not too loud. Would give 5 stars if the level of sound was perfect. Perhaps next time.

My first time there and it was a great experience. So much talent.

Staff was rude and not welcoming from the door - a very uneven: I just wanna go home early tonight vide. Or should I say the line. The door opened late. Everyone everyone texting. Seats are TIGHT. Not a bad seat in the place. Sound system was good and the air for also enjoyable. Easy access to the bars.

If you want to buy overpriced merchandise, go there. nothing special.

Never a bad time at the Apollo. You're always going to enjoy yourself.

This started out as a surprise gift for me as an Anniversary gift and Birthday Gift, but it turned into a once in a lifetime experience. We were scheduled to go to the Apollo Theater for Amateur night. Once we got there, everyone was so friendly and cheerful and made us feel right at home. The show and pre-show activities were fun and really got everyone in the mood. My wife and I were able to meet Mr Apollo who told us about the tour they do. Well, we jumped right on it. We got a chance to see the Apollo backstage and got a history lesson about the Apollo Theater from Mr Apollo himself. I even had a chance to sing on stage. It was a dream come true for me because I have been watching Show Time at the Apollo since I was 8years old. Thank you Apollo for making my dream come true!

Top dogs night at the apollo. Great show. Great host. Theatre could use some TLC.

Just stopped by the gift shop but everyone was warm and friendly took some photos.

Attend the Burna Boy concert which was organized by my team, Dukeconcept Entertainment. Place was nice and staff where friendly. Love the location of this place as well.

If you are in Harlem it is worth it to go and see it even from the outside.

KWANZAA REGENERATION NIGHT is always fun, informative and entertaining each year. A must see. Enjoy if you go and bring a friend/ family member.

Much smaller than appears on t.v but still had a great time

Such beautiful venue with so much historic importance to it. Love visiting this place. Make sure to touch the tree on the way out haha.

Always wanted too go there as a New Yorker is was great.. seen the legend Rakim do his paid in full CD.

Didn't make it past the foyer. It looked nice though.
