Sunday brunch with relatives, we arrived a little late but the choice of food was still wide. It's not an American brunch, no pancakes with maple syrup, or scrambled eggs with bacon. Certainly much better than a diner. They continued to bring food trays from the kitchen even after 3 pm. Food in any case excellent and also sought after, various fish, meat, pasta, vegetable and cheese dishes were available. Fantastic selection of desserts that included cassata, caprese, pastiera and Bavarian. Great price (30 euros each) in my opinion, for this gem in the heart of Rome.

I do not understand how on the web it is not reported as one of the best brunch in Rome. I tried several and this is the best, both for the quality of food (the desserts are crazy) and for the location and service!

The restaurant is very spacious, illuminated and well-kept. Good looking. Very attentive, unobtrusive and very courteous service. As for brunch, the dishes were certainly of excellent quality, abundant quantities often replaced, all kept warm. Excellent brunch overall

I hadn't tried it for lunch yet: beautiful surprise, obviously all very good, lunch comes with a buffet formula that makes it possible to have a good meal in a very nice and comfortable environment at a sustainable cost, with excellent value for money. A buffet that cannot be defined as gourmet, of course, but very well cared for, varied and interesting.

I attended an event organized here and the location certainly lends itself a shame, however, that the distribution of courses was very bad. For what I was able to taste the quality was present but it can not be used in fits and starts in the success of the evening. Too bad for those who had paid!

FOOD:

FOOD:
The selection of hors d oeuvres was okay.
Vegetarian options were not good, just a pile of potatoes. Disappointed since there are so many fresh vegetable options.
Dessert was just okay - chocolate something.

FACILITY
Good location.
Spacious facility.
The bathroom was basic and compared to the rest of the facility it was underwhelming.

I had higher expectations and was very disappointed.

The choice of brunch has been renewed several times. Cozy elegant environment not chaotic and with high quality of food and raw materials. The culinary art is also found in brunch, something that often does not happen in other realities. With the certainty that I would have succeeded, I brought non-Roman friends ... They were fascinated and appreciated the quality and quantity of dishes, both phrases and warm. Excellent wine cellar and special attention to the desserts too.

It is something very similar to the buffet of a good hotel and the price is really low in relation to the variety and the kind of dishes proposed. The environment is very contemporary: beautiful in the cold "limit" and overlooks two Roman roads that are not among the most beautiful in Rome, but they make even the center of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Definitely a reference point for visits / business trips to Rome around Palazzo delle Esposizioni.

We came here for lunch and got the buffet with two glasses of wine. The food was mediocre at best. Great core ingredients but a bit bland and much of it had been sitting out too long. Definitely not worth the 80 euro we paid. Maybe 20 euro would have been worth it. It might be better for dinner or a seated lunch, but we won t be back.

I dined at Antonello Colonna (an alleged gourmet...

I dined at Antonello Colonna (an alleged gourmet restaurant at the time of the visit) in Dec. 2018. The team was very friendly and obliging - the overall atmosphere strikingly formal and professional.

Food:
I would rate the starter and the pre-dessert as very good and the amuses as well as the dessert as good: These dishes/components were on a high or very high level and I liked the aromatic depth and range.

Both intermediate dishes were, however, weak: Firstly, pasta with seafood. Despite the seafood and a slight herbal note, it lacked aromatic depth. It tasted a bit salty and watery and boring overall. The kitchen had tried to apply a crunchy element. The effect was unsuccessful, however, as the small crunchy elements literally sank into the porridge. Second: Pasta carbonara. The intended inside out effect was practically not noticeable. The typical bacon aroma dominated the dish. Again, I found it boring and remarkably ordinary.

The second starter was even very weak: This was an ordinary fish mousse and some ordinary sour cream. I couldn't taste any aromatic tension, the fish mousse moreover lacked seasoning. Some added candied citrus fruit was far from sufficient to save the effect. The sour cream was at least useful as a spread.

The main course was worst: It was basically a piece of pork (relatively greasy) and some mashed potatoes. Additionally, there were elements made of fruits. I found the pork much too dry, it tasted just like a piece of prepared pork happens to taste. In my opinion, the mashed potatoes were not sufficiently creamy and lacked even more flavour than the pork. Both elements urgently demanded a sauce, which was not available. The fruit elements all tasted the same, and I found their pungent, hot aroma quite unacceptable. These were clear aromatic outliers.

Wine:
The wine accompaniment was excellent. The team served outstanding wines, almost all from different regions in Italy. All wines were elegant with enough depth and a beautiful aftertaste. To accompany the pre-dessert and dessert there was a glass of an incredibly dense, wonderful Sherry. Unforgettable.

As far as the matching of the wines to the aromas is concerned, it s difficult to make an assessment: I found the aromas meaningless and inadequate or at least lacking in depth/range in many cases. What kind of wine would match with something like that? As for the main course, I think no wine in the world would have matched to it. After the biting hot fruit elements, I had to "extinguish" with water.

Presentation:
The team led me through the menu way too fast. As soon as one dish was finished, the next was served immediately afterwards. The confiserie (good) was not served with the espresso, but with the pre-dessert. The sizes of the dishes were mostly good, only some components a bit too large.

Almost everything was served on white porcelain. There were no surprises at all. In no case was any component added to a dish at the table. Practically no decorative elements were presented. There were no effects worth mentioning. Apart from a few exceptions, there was no conscious play of colours. The same goes for the textures, which seemed random or owed to the ingredients original textures.
However, I liked the presentation of the wines: Very elaborate in a classic style and also very knowledgeable and informative.

Premises:
I liked the design (modern and elegant). The restaurant is located on a high gallery on one side of a huge hall.

Price:
The price-performance ratio of the wine was excellent. As regards the food and its presentation, however, it was very poor.

Dishes good, so much choice even if chaotic place. Desserts in the normal, as are also different dishes offered by the chef. Not worth the price, pay the name of the chef and the location But if it happens in the area and you want to have lunch on the terrace is nice

Extremely elegant location, sufficiently spaced tables and a very pleasant "climate".
Excellent, among the best ever, the room staff: competent and attentive in every detail.
On food, I would have something to say: for the star and for the price I expected better and, above all, not a serious mistake as completely wrong salt, serving a totally tasteless dish and a pig inedible for too much salt.

Beautiful location in the heart of Rome. Very nice interior furnishings, with attention to the smallest details and excellent hospitality. Before entering the room, there is an internal library.
The menu is always varied and refined, the quality of the dishes is very good. The value for money is optimal, given that it spends very well. Absolutely recommended

I would have expected more from Antonello Colonna, a rather rich brunch buffet but without a common thread that perhaps I expect from a starred chef, good dishes, especially desserts, exceptional place

The modern veranda above the exhibition building is a garden illuminated by the colors of the sky of Rome. The brunch buffet is rich and offers a variety of dishes ... for all tastes also x international cuisine ... some courses are pleasant and a good culinary preparation, others not. The water cost included is 30 on Saturday and Sunday, 18 on other days, I do not understand this price difference, it would be interesting to understand it. Drinks and coffee separately. Absolutely avoid coffee.
The place is nice, but the 30 + + did not seem to me in the value for money, right!

Tested at the weekend, so "all you can eat" brunch. What can I say, I honored the chef and could not be done otherwise: rich choice and all of the highest quality and taste. Of course, there were no particularities for which Colonna is famous but in a buffet it would not have been even appropriate. Beautiful scenery of the palaexpo, adequate staff always friendly and efficient.
