Well worth the drive. I haven t had grits that good in a long time. The special was so fresh and well made; I m still thinking about it. Great attention to the guest experience as well. Thanks for a wonderful meal.

Amazing. We ate here for our anniversary and absolutely LOVED everything. The servers, the atmosphere, and above all the food was perfection! Above and beyond our expectations. Couldn t have had a better experience all around and look forward to returning here again
This was my birthday dinner and 2nd time eating at Antebellum. It's never disappointing and absolutely wonderful. You must try the fried tomatoes with an egg on top. Our dinners were exquisite and the chocolate bread pudding was to die for. The chocolate martini was really good too! Highly recommend this restaurant! My favorite place!
My wife and recently tried Antebellum during our anniversary. What a pleasant experience, fine wine, excellent appetizers and entrees. Our waiter recommended the Lamb which was very tender, had a very flavorful taste. We mentioned that it was our anniversary so he brought out an extra desert and champagne. Wow, very nice place to spend our 19 year anniversary.
I arrive at this superb restaurant from time to time as I enjoy the special atmosphere that is characterizes this restaurant. The crew is awfuly loyal and skilfull. The service is impressively efficient. Not to mention, the food they prepare is good. I have been there often and I was always joyful. The price is honest. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
The Antebellum restaurant is impeccably clean! The service is second to none and the food is absolutely delicious! Tom plays fantastic guitar music 3 nights per week and offered me tips on how to get started playing a guitar! This is our 2nd trip to Antebellum and it was every bit as good as our first trip if not better.
Now this is the GEM of Flowery Branch. Quaint little old house converted into a 5 star (in my opinion) restaurant. Wait Staff was fantastic and the food was so delicious. It is pricey depending on what you order ie: Drinks / Apps etc... but the food is so well worth every dime.
We would like to thank everyone at Antebellum. We have a magnificent evening our server Sean was amazing he explained the menu to us and the history of the restaurant. We are so happy that they use local farms around the area. We loved how the restaurant was felt very intimate to have a special dinning experience. We whenever rushed and making our selections and the food was fabulous we also love how you accommodated our dietary needs and separate our selection on 2 different plates so we could enjoy. The alcoholic beverages were amazing I especially like the expresso martini and my other half enjoy the cucumber lemon drop martini. and we would recommend this restaurant to anybody who has any type of special occasion coming up for their loved ones. We will be going back in the near future! Sean was very impressive and we seen how passionate he is at what he does he will be the waiter we will be looking forward to see again in the near future
Uptown downtown Flowery Branch. The Chef Nick cooks unbelievably excellent meals AND desserts! This is a "homey" restaurant in an elegant setting! Allison, Nick's wife and hostess is VERY, VERY SWEET and makes sure you are taken care of! The menu changes with the seasons. And EVERYTHING from the appetizers, soup, entrees, cornbread with tomato bacon jam, to the desserts are worth the trip and expense! If youhave never been, GO, GO, NOW!!!
Hands down the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at! Their drinks are wonderful, the food is always amazing, and the atmosphere is nice too!
Easy to see why this place is ranked in the top 100 restaurants in the country by OpenTable. Great unique flavors paired together and excellent service!
Fantastic experience. Wife & I took a friend out for her birthday and all three of us were impressed. There's no overselling the fried green tomatoes. The baked brie was lovely but isn't a regular menu item. However, our server told us that if you give them a week's notice with your reservation that they can have it for you. Can't wait to return.
Fabulous, all around. The food is superb, the atmosphere is upscale Southern charm, the staff is their best attraction. The staff is attentive and remarkable at conversation and remembering their guests from previous visits. It feels very much like going home for a nice dinner. Its a refreshing change to typical, robotic restaurant experiences.
Awesome. We decided to dine here for our anniversary as live locally and intrigued to see a local establishment get consistently great reviews. We enjoyed an excellent meal, loved the ambience, spent a very enjoyable and memorable evening here. Will be back very soon
Foie Gras Brulee was fantastic. It had so many flavors. Their drinks are also top notch. Wonderful and creative food (including great desserts), fun drinks, excellent staff. Would visit again.
Absolutely the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant . Chef St.Claire's attention to detail is second to none. Every single course was exquisite. You have got to try it !!!
We have been coming to this restaurant for years. The food is always excellent. Unfortunately, as they have become more popular they have started a practice of seating large, loud groups in the middle of the main room (instead of the back room). The acoustics are not good, with hardwood floors, etc. This means all the folks at nearby tables are not able to hear each other talk.
Still great food, but your chances of having a nice conversation with your friends are not good. So, plan on texting your friends or go somewhere else that caters to smaller groups.
Love, love Antebellum, the restaurant, the awesome wait staff, which is more like friends now. Nice to sit by the bar listening to Tom playing his acoustic guitar. The salmon dish, was fantastic.
Loved my dinner here! Very cute. One of those down town restaurants with the home to restuarant feel. Got the wild mushroom soup which I was skeptical about and was amazed at how well everything went together! Shrimp and grits were great, big portions. Over I enjoyed my dinner and would love to go back! Roland was a great server and made awesome recommendations.
Excellent service, soup, salad, entrees and cute dessert cookies for birthdays. I would love it more with some vegetarian entrees more thoughtful and creative than just leaving the meat out of a dish. Otherwise very nice.
The place is amazing,The menu is small but but the food is expertly prepared and always tasty. We like to eat at the bar because the smooth guitar jazz by Tom Grimm is worth going to listen to by itself,
Exceptional. Amazing menu, wonderful service, and a quaint ambiance, as this restaurant is built in an old 1800's home. This is a MUST, if you already haven't.
Update - was let down when I came back to find out the duck was not on the menu full time. Since I was in town for a week they put it back on the menu before I left and the return visit was worth it.
The fried green tomato appetizer is delicious and the fried egg on top really sets it off. I will continue coming back.
Great food, good service, and the prices were fair. I wouldn't call it "inexpensive", but it was a lot less than other places that aren't nearly as good.
We spent our weeding anniversary here and it was awesome. This was an all out dinner experience. From the drinks to dessert we had all out taste experience. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful when asked about any recommendations. The chef made super delicious food.
Amazing restaurant experience. Superb flavor combinations in all the dishes we tried. Even with most of the tables full we were able on have a conversation without having to raise our voices. A pleasant change from most restaurants.
Holy moly! This place is a Hidden Gem in downtown Flowery Branch. They accommodated our group of 12 people with ease and efficiency. And the flavors and service are 2nd to none. I went to a Michelin 5 Star Restaurant the week following this visit, and I wish I had come back to Antebellum instead.
A very nice, upscale restaurant with a sophisticated -and pricy- menu. Located in an attractive re-purposed home like building, Antebellum is a great place for a date, or a meal with another couple. Because of its location, be aware of alternative routes lest you get blocked by a unloading train. The place will probably get another star on our next trip as we will be more aware of the menu. First off, most dishes are a la carte. We found the appetizers wanting and wish we d had salads instead. For a party of three we had the scallops, flat iron steak and a vegetarian entree. Each was good, but not great. The restaurant is suitable for a party up to six, but after that it can be a little stressed. Good wine list and innovative full bar with bar deserts. Very good coffee, but it shouldn t be the high point. We ll be back but with be knowledge of what we want. With tip, $190 for three adults.
Was asked to leave my table after one hour so another couple could sit down even though I had reservations and other empty tables surrounded me....was shocked to be asked to get up and spoke with owner who explained this was their standard policy....first time for me to be asked to get up from my table after spending $ 200 on a 2 person tab....not good business
While I understand that Antebellum is considered a high end restaurant with an experienced chief, I was very disappointed this evening. We have dined at Antebellum several other times and enjoyed the experience; however, I have never thought that the food was incredible. Our meal this evening was not what I had experienced before and even before it was good but nothing exceptional.
The cocktails are great!
The atmosphere is very loud! Myself and others have mentioned this to the staff before but apparently the owners think it is okay to have to speak so loudly over others when trying to have an intimate dining experience. But, it is VERY loud! I find myself unnerved by the end of a meal.
I truly do not understand the 5 star ratings. One review said that the restaurant had a nice hostess, the food was good, and someone carried their drinks to the table for them. What? Is that worth a 5 star rating?
Antebellum is a nice restaurnat for sure but I would not give it a 5 star rating. It makes me wonder if people have dined at other high end restaurants before?
Incredible food, consistently. Chef Nick is so creative and passionate, and it really comes through in his cooking. Our family goes all the time and we have never been disappointed. He and the entire staff are so kind and dedicated to ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Our favorite dishes include the fried green tomatoes app, the pimento cheese app, the pan-seared scallops entree, the grilled beef tenderloin entree (tried tonight - AMAZING!), and any of Chef Nick's incredible panna cotta desserts. Really though, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Antebellum has our 100% loyalty and is our favorite of all time, hands down. We can't wait to try all your new dishes (and locations) throughout the years!
This is the hidden gem of Atlanta. Best food in the state if not the whole southeast. Wait staff is magnificent as is the food. You have to go at least once to experience 5 star food and service at 3 star prices.
Came on my Anniversary with my wife. We came in early and were treated wonderfully when we were seated. They had a good variety of cocktails, wines, appetizers, and desserts. Their entrees all sounded fantastic, but I ended up with the salmon which stays on the menu year round. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce, greens, and a small portion of cornbread on the very bottom made the plate balanced and very appealing. My wife enjoyed her shrimp and grits and said it is the best she has ever had. That is a huge statement from a girl who has eaten all kinds of shrimp and grits from many different places.
If you want to try one of the top 100 restaurants in the country. Then I recommend Antebellum.
This is my mother's favorite place, but the flavors in our favorite dishes and drinks are not what they once were. The Lavender Lady (gin cocktail) that was pale purple served with a sprig of lavender in a Mason jar last summer, is now in a martini glass with a lemon wedge instead of fresh lavender. The salmon on cheese grits tasted like a bottle of "liquid smoke." Finally, the fried green tomatoes were hard and nothing that would have been served at any other place that claims to be southern. My stars are for the resident guitarist with a 1948 Les Paul!
Excellent service and attention to detail. From presentation to how each course was delivered and explained. Ken our waiter did a great job recommending various courses and explaining the wine options. The green tomato's and salmon were world class. I also highly recommended the bread pudding it was just the right amount to share and cap off the evening.
Wonderful from the time I called to make a reservation until we left. They were very polite when I called to place a reservation for our anniversary (they even asked if it would be a special occasion). When we got there we were immediately led to our table which was already laid out with plates, cups, and silverware. Our waiter, Josh, was polite and friendly and welcomed us by congratulating our anniversary when he seated us. From there he offered us complementary Champaign and was on top of everything. The food and service were on point and I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone, from a special event to a nice sit down evening together. Thank you, Antebellum staff.
We arrived at this spot for lunch. we heard about this spot from a lot of people. Well, it was very successful. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place very much and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.
Wonderful atmosphere and incredible attention to detail. When we told the staff we were there for an anniversary, they brought glasses of champagne for a toast! Unique dishes, clean flavors, and amazing produce will certainly make a visit here one to remember.
Took to long for the food to come out. The portions were very small, overpriced, and the bread wasn't good. Food was tasty. I left hungry after spending 150 bucks for 2 people.
I celebrated my nomination today in this fine place. I am glad to say that it was a pleasant evening and the restaurant was undoubtedly one of the reasons for that happy meeting. The waiters helped in a splendid manner, the meals were yummy and my friends were very glad. We shall surely return for more events. Thank you very much.
I have been here a few times and absolutely love it. The food is great, the music is nice, and the service is really good. Just make sure to get a reservation if you're coming on a weeknight! They are super friendly and accommodating, but call ahead and reserve a table for sure!
Best restaurant in North Georgia by far. Very lucky to have this place only 10 minutes from us. Every dinner we have had here has been excellent and even the take out menu during the shutdown was high quality and worth every penny.
At Antebellum tonight, we made 530pm reservations after being told nothing was available until after 830. We sat there alone until 7pm. At 7:00 pm, we were asked to leave our table in order to accommodate another 2 person party. The was an empty 8 top across from us the entire evening and no wait at the door. After moving to the bar to finish our wine, we spoke with the owner who told us that was their standard policy. She had no remorse whatsoever. Our tab was $200+. I've never been asked to leave a table before tonight.
We found the food preparation and presentation lived up to their fine dining reputation. We all had different dishes, lamb, salmon, shrimp and flat iron steak, each dish carefully prepared with uniquelly blended ingredients to compliment the main dish.
