If you are looking for QUIET and romantic, this is NOT the place on a Saturday night. It has the loud, obnoxious ROAR of a sports bar. The acoustics are terrible. My husband and I also sat at the bar and there was no one behind the bar to serve us. My husband made reservations telling the hostess we wanted a quiet, romantic place for a date. She didn t tell him the atmosphere is loud, boisterous and all around not romantic. Tables too close together, no alcoves or private areas at all. Menu looked great but the atmosphere was so terrible we left without eating after someone finally reported to the bar and we actually got served some wine. There was someone playing beautiful live music but I could barely hear it because of the roar that sounded like a school lunchroom. Y all really should consider improving the acoustics with rugs/carpet, tapestries, etc.

Beautiful new facility. However be where they charge you $5.50 to use your credit card to pay for any fees. That is highway robbery. Make sure that you go to the ATM machine at your local bank or the Publix and get cash instead of paying their High fees.

Celebrated my birthday at Antebellum on July 4th. The entire Antebellum crew made this an unparalleled and memorable event! From arriving to a beautiful table with gorgeous flowers, to the very last bite of my forever favorite Antebellum Dessert (the Lemon Curd and Blueberry Panna Cotta - if you haven't tried it, you're missing something VERY special), everything was perfect! The Baked Brie appetizer was a brilliant blend of flavors and textures, and the Fried Green Tomato appetizer was like non-other....it's a must-try dish. The entrees were superb! Every bite was delicious and our table felt like a never-ending feast! The Springer Mountain Chicken with compressed cantaloupe is a perfect summer entree....so flavorful! The Ribeye was perfectly prepared and presented and was a feast unto itself. Had my first bite of Chef Nick's pizza...OMG....I'm spoiled for life now! Best pizza ever....my tastebuds were doing the happy dance and wanting more! The halibut was spectacular....cooked perfectly and a explosion of perfectly matched flavors. Our server, Charity, who makes every single visit so very special, made this visit even more special! Antebellum never fails to please in a big way. It just doesn't get any better!

from appetizer to after dinner coffee, one of the best meals i have had in years. starting with a comfortable, warm, inviting dining room and taken care of by staff that obviously knew the menu and believed in the food they were bringing us, the meal was perfect from start to finish. the menu is not overwhelming and what is offered is fresh, local if available, and worth every penny. great food, great staff, in a great room. can't wait to return.

it will cost a few dollars but trust me, it is money well spent.

The staff is super friendly and professional which greatly amplifies the experience. Absolutely amazing food. I have had few meals as well thought out and prepared as this. Every detail was perfect and I will continue to dream of this food. They also take great care with any allergies and food sensitivities. The ambiance is very cozy and yet upscale. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Once again, I would highly recommend Antebellum to anyone who appreciates fine food with a unique flare. We just celebrated our 29th anniversary there and the food was wonderful! I had the halibut and my husband had the special of steak and lamb. I can't say enough about the attention to detail and the excellent service we experienced. Christie is a wonderful server who is knowledgeable about the dishes and has the gift of knowing when you need her! Best place for a special occasion or just having a lovely dinner with friends!

Flowery Branch, GA. Yes. Yummy. Expensive, delicious, worth the $ perfect for a date night, dress up a bit, wear your nice perfume :) , this is fine dining in a cute little town North of ATL. Come early enough to walk across the street and visit Southern Grace Gift and Florist across the street!
Love this little town!

Wow! Fine dining in little ol' Flowery Branch! What an impressive restaurant. Who woulda thunk it? It's near the square in downtown F.B. with free parking on the street and in the back lot. It's in a classic Southern home with plenty of rustic charm. Our party of four appreciated the compact menu. There were maybe 6 entrees to choose from, but three of us went with that night's special, Beef Bourguignon served with gnocchi. Perfection. Plenty of choices from the bar, including some creative concoctions from their mixologist. They have a good selection of wines nicely priced, and a small, but nonetheless satisfying beer menu, including local craft brews. Our server, Victoria, was a delight, and I've requested her again for a return trip in three weeks. This place is an absolute gem! It's a four-star restaurant with none of the pretension you can find in the better dining establishments.

We were looking to go to Atlanta for the night to have dinner. But after a long night and longer day, we decided to stay a little closer to home. The location is very unassuming but as soon as you walk in, you know the meal is going to be great. It didn't disappoint. We started with the fried green tomatoes. I got the salmon and my husband the duck. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The service was also 5 star. If you're looking for a quality, classy meal and not looking to go into the city, this place has it all!

My daughter treated me to a Birthday dinner here at this quaint and Southern charmed place. Christy, our server was top notch, and attentive. The food and drinks were amazing, some of the best tasting food I've eaten. Super fresh with unique combinations that exploded with flavor. Hats off the chef/owner. Be prepared to pay higher prices but well worth it. The musician is awesome as well.

We dined there for our 50th wedding anniversary as we did last year for our anniversary. We went a couple times in addition to that and each time the food was absolutely exquisite. It is so nice to have at least one restaurant out here near Braselton that is actually "fine dining". I also love the location quaint little house near a quaint little town and very close to Lake Lanier, if one would like to gaze at it after dinner. Bill and Joyce Fokes - Braselton, GA

We celebrated our anniversary here. It was fantastic. We are both from Atlanta and recently bought a house in oakwood and miss dining in Atlanta very much. Antebellum made us feel like we were back in Atlanta. The atmosphere is wonderful. The menu amazing. I enjoyed a lavender martini. It was perfect for us. We didn t want to drive all the way to Atlanta and all the way home and this place is right down the road. We will be back for sure!

My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and had the best time. The atmosphere is quaint with a dash of southern hospitality. It'll make you feel like you're visiting your grandmother in the house she grew up in. As far as the food is concerned I had the steak and my wife had the shrimp and grits. We couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the food. In fact, I'll make a bold statement and say this was the best steak I've ever had and I've had my fair share of steak. We also had the fried green tomatoes and they were exceptional. Our service was outstanding as well! This was an excellent experience and we can't wait to come back!

Fantastic Friday dinner last week at Antebellum! ...

Fantastic Friday dinner last week at Antebellum! This was our first visit, won t be the last. From the impeccable service to dessert, nothing but enjoyment.
Do not be afraid to try the Fried Green Tomatoes; the fried egg on top gave this dish a buttery texture that couldn t be beat and the mimosa ice, a nice cool touch adding to the dish. The Grilled Bread with pimento cheese, among other tasty additions, was just wonderful. Dessert? Rest my heart! We were right on time to try one of the new desserts which was introduced last week. We chose the blueberry lemon dessert...just too tasty and I dug in so fast after taking a photo that I forgot the name of this superb dish!
We couldn t have asked for better service including wine suggestions, extra requests, and oh, did I mention the dessert?!

Exquisite and delectable. Refined and impeccable. ...

Exquisite and delectable. Refined and impeccable. Dining at Antebellum was all of those things and more. From the moment you walk in, they exude warmth and southern hospitality with the greeting, corn bread with green tomato jelly, and charming decor. We started out with the fried green tomatoes, grilled bread, and foie gras creme brulee. There was so much thought into the function of eating the fried green tomato, from watching the yolk ooze into the layers, the dash of hot sauce around the plate, and the iced mimosa palate cleanser. The foie gras creme brulee was delightful as they provide a dessert spoon to crack the caramelized sugar top. Our group each got all the entrees, and we loved all of it! The cocoa crusted duck breast, salmon on grit cake, tenderloin, shrimp and grits, and the halibut. The restaurant also had a bday dessert of cast iron cookie with homemade ice cream ready and we also ordered the lavender lemon tart. You really haven't lived until you taste lavender cream. Thank you Antebellum for a memorable meal.

Very fine food made in old southern style, perhaps with a little french flair. U will be surprised with every course, as nothing comes out looking traditional, like the fried green tomatos. This is one of those places that is in a class all by itself and I would highly recommend. We were celebrating our 42 anniversary, and as a surprise they came out with a complementary champagne cocktail., Beautiful antebellum house, and a very attentive staff. Will be there again.

Excellent food and service. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which did not disappoint. Followed was my entree, shrimp and grits which was fabulous. My hubs had the bone in pork and it was excellent. Josh, our waiter was impeccable. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant. The only issue I had was the room we were in was not great for acoustics. This was worth every penny. You won't be disappointed!

I've eaten here maybe 10 times because its generally solid by suburban standards and on the weekends Tom Grimm plays (excellent guitar player).

My last visit was a bit of a disappointment - brought my 2 y/o son with me to hear Tom play.

My son can be finicky at restaurants (he doesn't recognize the food so won't eat it). So I ordered him some noodles and a hard boiled egg (and ordered myself an cocktail, appetizer, entry, and wine).

I'm told that, we're sorry, but the chef says he cannot make a hard boiled egg because its not on the menu and they are busy.

So its a $100/head restaurant and they cannot boil an egg for a kid?

Ridiculous.

Food took over an hour to yet (they quelled our appetite with a pea soup); they are easily charging Bacchanalia prices but the quality isnt quite not there. Judging that there are no other fine dinning places in downtown Flowery Branch, they can charge pretty much anything they want.

A great place to try foods and combos you wouldn't normally choose. I don't normally like lamb, or carrots, so of course I ordered the lamb and the carrot soup. Absolutely DELICIOUS. Perfectly cooked, perfectly garnished, perfectly presented. The cocktails are always amazing. They asked if it was a birthday or anniversary and brought a free birthday dessert. The staff were attentive and truly friendly, and offered my dog a bowl of water (we ate outside on the porch). Would give 100 stars if I could!

Antebellum is around that square of flowery Branch and it is very beautiful. The owner and chef is a mastermind. It reminds me of food you could get in New York City but the smells outside and the customers and everything else aren't quite as nice as here in flowery Branch. I wish they would put their beer cheddar soup with pickled okra back on the menu, I love the soup and the okra I just never had it together like that but please keep an open mind and I think you will be delighted.
