Absolutely loved it.

My poor cooper had many loose teeth I had to make a few appointment to get to the main appointment where they had to put him in surgery and take like 9 teeth out and they cleaned the remaining teeth that he had left they did a good job very expensive though I had to fall back in a couple of things but it was worth it and they did a awesome job with my baby, one of the ladies in the front desk was rude but one of them was nice I can t remember there names but they should not be hateful with anyone that Enter the building after all we re the one paying for the service there I think later she called and apologized to me when was ok but I m suffer from by polar so it s hard for me to understand why people do that but anyway appreciate the call for the apology, the main thing is they took good care of cooper and that s what matters....
We adopted our current dog from this place. They are the best shelter that I've ever experienced. We first were curious about another dog. After an interview, in which the expert asked our job, personality, hobbies, home environment, she recommended another dog that would fit with us the most. We have lived with this four-legged family almost 2 years now. We all are very happy with each other. Very very professional and we really appreciate their help. We visited this place on our 1 year anniversary with our dog, and they still remembered our dog. We are very thankful!
Hello I am giving it two stars cause of the Animals. I have been looking for a small Male or female Dog for my apartment. I don't care if it's Male or female but it needs to be small smaller the better. But this passed summer Animal Humane told me that I can not have a Pet reason. Cause I had a domestic violence charge. From around two decades ago longer I believe. I was hurt sad mad I have never ever ever treated my animals birds bad or nothing like that. But I have had friends get a pet and yes these guys do have a bad record. I had a great Pet friend chiwawa all black and find out I had to leave it . The lady Tell's me when I was leaving. Find one wondering on the streets of ALBUQUERQUE. I was humiliated . All I wish to have is a small friend and make him my therapy companion I suffer from mental issues and a friend would have helped.
This is TRUE.
With out this place I wouldn't be able to keep my pups
Extremely helpful and caring staff. Clean facilities and tons of information and help to find the perfect forever pet. I recently adopted two kittens about a week apart from eachother. A male and a female, the male was extremely aggressive towards the female. I took advantage of their free behavior hotline and they helped me walk through exercises and activities to help them get along. I now have two very happy and adorably fun companions. These guys truly care! Thank you!
There always amazing. My dog has bad anxiety when going to the vet. They are wonderful, he feels very loved with you guys. Thank you
This is the best doggie daycare in Albuquerque, or possibly all of NM. They have half or full day options. The facility and staff are top notch. I know my puppy is safe and happy when he is there. Im sooo thankful for the center at animal humane.
I wish there was more stars to give, to reflect when a business or individual absolutely exceeds all expectations, and goes above and beyond excellence in their field..... Dr. Hamel is literally the best veterinarian I have ever met in my life, and the techs, are absolutely incredible!!! Each individual I encountered here, sincerely cared about the health and well being of ALL fur babies (not just the ones that were being seen by owners who took them in for a service). The staff members exuded with love, care, compassion, and dedication towards their field. I can't begin to express my gratitude for the Animal Humane Society!!! I will be forever grateful to all the people who work there, especially the ones who took part in helping my baby, Xena, get well!!! So, from the bottom of my heart, "Thank you ALL, so much, for not just helping my little girl, but for all you do to help this world be a better place, for ALL animals and the owners who love them"!!!!
mixed feelings: they wanted proof of ownership of my lost 18y/o cat beyond the myriad pictures I had of her with myself and my dogs in various places and stages of my life, then informed me the "suggested" reclaim fee is $40 when the regular adoption fee is only $15. I appreciate the great work they do, and while they did accept my photos and it was only a suggested amount it felt somewhat arbitrary and backwards on the pricing. I'm just glad I got her back.
still seems odd that when a person produces proof of ownership that the price more than doubled.. I woulda paid whatever but can't help feeling like they're taking advantage of people's attachments.
The work they do is tremendous! I found the most amazing dog there!
First time with clinic, took great care of my baby.
They took my 2 cats for a nominal fee and had one adopted in just a couple of days. Great place to find a new pet, or if necessary like in my unfortunate situation, relinquish one.
The entire staff are amazing, caring, compassionate, helpful, and kind. My dog is terrified of the vet but she did well with them. They took their time and checked her without making her anxious. Facility is clean, location is a bit far from me but its easy to locate and easy to park and enter.
A wonderful place I work at Tucumcari Paws and Claws we bring our dogs there!
I have adopted several dogs from the Animal Humane Society. I take my dogs there for vet services also their prices are very reasonable.
If you're looking for a new furry companion, you will find an amazing selection here at Animal Humane. The animals are all well cared for and prepared to join their forever family.
Completely unprofessional, rude people, stared at my boyfriend and I through the window and could not explain why they were letting other people in and not us. Very disappointed in this agency, please look into your staff. It's sad to have search a bad experience I wonder how these poor animals feel.
They are the best. They are doing a great job. The dogs are very clean and in perfect condition. Each dog have a private room. I love this place
She's such a good girl! Thank you guys so much for the wonderful dog!
Awesome place. Dogs are taken care of wonderfully. Staff is very nice. Great place to find a fur baby to love.
These people are rude and insensitive. They run your driver's license for a background check or you cannot approach an animal We went to adopt 2 cats and this place was totally uncooperative. Not only that, 60 percent of the cats were sick. Never, ever again....
This place not only doesn't kill the animals but they take volunteers and has a great staff. They really care and could use help and donations
I had to put my cat down, the people there were gentle without patronizing me very appreciative of their care
I have taken stray cats for white a few years to get spayed of neutered. The people there are friendly and very helpful. I always bring the cats back to my yard. Have 5 now.
Animal Humane Westside is a wonderful place to consider to adopt your next furrever animal friend. We adopted our doggy, Bambino, there in December 2020 after he had been returned by a previous adopter for chasing a cat. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our doggy came with all of his shots, he was neutered, and microchipped. They offer free a free animal behavior advice line and other helpful services to make adoption a smooth sailing process for you and your furry friend. I m so lucky to have another wonderful doggy in my life. Thanks, Animal Humane for allowing us to give Bambino a second chance. He s living happily with 2 other rescued dog siblings and an elderly cat.
I came here not knowing if i was in the right place. I patiently waited for approximately 40 minutes in the waiting room. The front desk clerk snapped at me for my confusion. Later in the conflict, I was finally informed it was the wrong place. Then she gave me very broad directions to the right location. I gave her my phone to show me where.. still very broad directions again.
I had an amazing experience, learning about the shelter and seeing the people that save lives everyday!
Super nice, but it's great period.... their fight to keep on providing for the animals and more!
What a wonderful place. The facilities, staff, and volunteers are all lovely. Having the dogs in separate enclosed rooms makes the experience of adopting so much more pleasant. No loud and smelly rooms full of dogs! When I adopted from here, they let me have all the time in the world with the perspective dogs. Don't forget, they also offer some really great training classes!
Very quick and friendly staff. Not easy taking a ferrell kitty or cat into the Dr! Can't imagine how it is when you take a domesticated animal .
Sad very bad updates, I ve gotten two dogs from animal humane , in a 23 year time frame. But now I m done.
Website was easy to navigate to look for a pet to adopt.
Fantastic kindness to the helpless. Love for those who need it the most. Food for the less fortunate to feed their family pets.
My new dog(Lucky) is the sweetest fur baby!!! Thank you Animal Humane for a fantastic experience!
I'm a foster parent and I love working with them. I fostered a mamma dog and her 6 puppies. They worked with me every step of the way!!
It's a clean, friendly place. Where the volunteers are happy to help find whatever information you might require in the case of a found pet, to a lost pet. Or something in between, like an adoption.
This is the best animal shelter I have ever been around. Beautiful, clean surroundings and much love for all of the animals in their care. Also a lot of community involvement for those in need for help caring for their own animals.
The veterinarian Dr. Hamil I believe is so patient and calm while working with my dog. Zoey does not like the vet but shes pretty relaxed because the dr. Takes her time and doesnt move quick or startle her. They are overall really great and reasonable pricing for good care!
I came by to pick up my babies shot and medical records- quick and easy
So many potential friends at this shelter. Wish I could take them all home.
Be aware, they do not honor their holds. If you want to adopt from animal humane you had better do so while you are there.
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Well maintained facilities.
They have always help me with my pets, in the time of need.good place to take your pets. .
I went to try to get advice about my puppy because she was once again sick but this time on a Sunday. Their website said the clinic was open but I could not find it so I went to the adoption agency part and all the lady behind the counter could say is if I was going to surrender my baby to her . I lost it ain't no way I bottle fed her and have had her since she was 1 week old and she is now 3 months old. I yelled at her cause she made me cry only because she had put it on my head that she could take her. Over my dead body.
Always the friendliest people easy adoption process. Treats animals better than watermelon ranch
I am very happy Doggy Daycare at The Center is finally open.
I work on base, so their location right outside the Wyoming gate is super convenient. I feel like a real parent dropping my fur kid off at day care on the way to work and picking her up on my way home.
As any proud pet parent, my dog is the sweetest dog. Ever. And they treat her that way when they bring her out.
I like watching her on the monitors. I like seeing if she looks happy to be there. And she does.
They are also really responsive. They are serious about safety. They enforce the dog to handler ratio. I like the screening they do for all dogs. Unlike my dog, again proud pet parent, not all dogs play well with others. The facility is pretty nice. Much roomier than a few other places we ve been.
Finally, all the profits from the Center go to Animal Humane. So it makes me feel good spoiling my dog knowing that less fortunate dogs benefit as well.
I m really happy with the Center at Animal Humane for Doggy Daycare.
Always excellent and caring service from the staff. You won't always get the pet you want though so you must be quick and diligent if you are serious about adopting.
Got our dog from here and couldn't be happier! Great prices and friendly staff!
Got my best dog from them. They spend a lot of time with the animals and do a wonderful job.
everyone here is so knowledgeable, professional and awesome with your family pet.
They take such good care of the animals here. They are patient with potential adopters and answer all your questions.
You have to leave a message because they are always to busy to answer the phone.
Very Clean, Staff was helpful and friendly. Lots of fur babies to take home! Come and add one or two to your family!
Didn t know my Maltese was pregnant until she started going into labor. Took her to a vet and puppy was turned around and too big for birth canal. Vet recommended humane society because minimal funds. Drove immediately over there and was told there were no appointments available today or tomorrow for an emergency c section but IF I was willing to surrender her, they would help her. WTH??? Thanks for breaking my heart even more. Will never donate to humane society again!!!
This facility is one of the best around. They care so much about your animals the veterinary hospital is right next door they are wonderful people who do wonderful work and I cannot rate this High Enough .
Everyone here was extremely nice and really helpful, we were able to get a cat for our son.
We did puppy training here with Alana and it was wonderful. So helpful!!!
Great facility and all of the classes available are fantastic.
The staff are great with my dog. They were running very late this time. I didn't have that problem last time I went. This was only my second time.
The Staff were excellent! They definitely care about their jobs and the pets they care for.
Called me back just to make sure my puppy is feeling better
The staff where very friendly and took great care of the cats and dogs .
Amazing place! The dedication is outstanding and the range of events, community service, etc. is really incredible. We adopted an eight week old Pitbull puppy four years ago who'd been there since he was a week old. I've had nothing but good experiences here.
I do wish they wouldn't neuter so early; we had to give our puppy testosterone shots for a while to ensure bone growth, but I do understand why it's done and I'm not complaining at all. I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from here again or recommend it for others.
Could not get anyone to pick up the phone.
Took my dog all the way over there just to be told that they don't take walk-ins and they couldn't help any way.
Total time spent traveling to facility: half hour
Total time spent at facility: two minutes.
At least I only wasted 32 minutes of mine and my dog's time.
They may be great for certain things, but DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE IN AN EMERGENCY! They cannot help.
My guess is that they specialize in vaccinations and preventative care.
Clean, well organized, great place to adopt a dog or cat, or volunteering.
Way too many people walking break & forth making all the poor dogs so nervous!
They advertise how the behavioral department helps you if you adopt but they are never in and they never return any calls
Great to work with. There was an advisor every step of the way with me.
Employees are not very friendly unless your actually adopting an animal.
My husband and I had an exceptional experience with Animal Humane NM! I applied to foster March 2020 when I knew I would be home and able to spend time with a dog or cat. We were called in September and picked up an active, exuberant 2 year old shepherd mix who was recovering from a paw injury. Over two months we got to know more about this sweet dog, his injury, his worries, and how much he needed the stability of a home. Marisa and Nallely took many phone calls and assisted with everything we needed from post surgical care, medication, food and behavioral help to help our pup heal. The veterinarians were outstanding and clearly care deeply for the animals here. This was an experience I will share with others and gladly do again when the time is right! At the moment we are new adoptive parents and so excited to welcome this new pup into our family.
Clean facility. Friendly staff and they provide excellent care for the animals.
We were just there and the layout and buildings were very attractive, hugely different from when we first started going there many years ago...And it was very clean. The atmosphere was one of calm friendliness. That being said, two of the people at the front desk were unfriendly, snappish.
Great people. I had to put my puppy down. They helped me through everything.
