I hate this group home, because I dont like the fact that they be on us kids about cleaning the room. When they don't even get done with painting the room. I wouldn't suggest staff or kids to come to this group home. It will not support the child's needs, or wants please do not come to this group home. Thank you. I'm Ryan A Hurley and I approve this message I am a current resident of The Methodist Home Of Carpeters Way Ranch in Cataula, ga. In the Davis House.

I haven't seen where any past or present employees of Carpenter's Way/The Methodist Home has posted so being a former employee I will.
RUN FAR AWAY FROM HERE! There are many wolves in sheep's clothing at this agency. There is a person in authority who will be honest but be discerning because in that honesty are woven in lies and most times won't own up to their shortcomings.
I have seen young leave unchanged. They left the same way they came in. I haven't seen anyone transitioned back to their families unless its happened since I left this year.
Be afraid when a person in authority says they don't know half of what goes on around there and be very afraid if that same person comes unglued in a staff meeting and starts yelling. I love people who are passionate about their work but if I'm sitting across from you I'm not deaf. And then to have weak minded HSP's saying how great they are.
Regional Management needs to take ownership of their position and make Management decisions and not sit back and "let God weed out who he doesn't want".
If you do wise up and resign before your 90 days are up don't put them down on your resume because more than likely they will try and burn you when you apply for a similar job.
The management from here up to Macon treats their employees who advocate for the residents like they have the plague because we are bad business for them. Keeping beds full keeps money in their pockets.

You need to go and see for yourself because most people hate it because this place does for the kids what there parents are not able to. I have lived here and yes I had my ups and downs but I can tell you that with out this place a lot of kids would never know what love, and being taken cared of really feels like!! So visit for your self and I bet you would love it! Please go and help make a differences in this kids life's!!
