Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Cash only though, but they have an ATM.

It is pretty disappointing to Uber 40 minutes out of my way, wait 15 minutes, be told it's cash only, go get cash, have the barber sit another customer and then deny service when I ask why he thought that was appropriate.

Never given a company a poor review but can say I am pretty frustrated. Would love it if the owner called me so I can speak with them and understand what went down. I hope it is not indicative of their regular customer experience.

Great customer service...walk-ins welcome but try and make an appointment if you can...barbers are good and precise. Great experience.

I noticed a cut on my forehead and the guy didn't even use sciccors! This by far the worst barbers I have been to. This is my first and last time I will ever go here again!

For 30 years I jumped around from barbershop to barbershop because not one barber was able to give me a quality cut. I have thick and curly hair that is tough to trim and style. After finding Angelos two years ago I continue to stay loyal. My barber is gifted and knows what works and what doesn't work for my hair.

Nice little barbershop. My husband needed a trim and to clean up his beard. We had an appointment at 930 am and they already had a few people waiting. Husband was happy and he looked great.

Still the best haircut I've ever gotten. Came right back after returning to LA two years after my first appointment here. Can't recommend it enough.

Called in the morning for an appointment. Paid for a uber and when I get there. They didn t have my appointment written down. Wasted money on ride and wasted my time.

I've been coming here (exclusively) for the last 3 years! If there's one thing that I've come to expect from this shop, its that I'm going to get the quality haircut I wanted. I'm not very loyal to anyone in particular, simply because ALL of them have cut my hair and done an excellent job!

The facilities are new. All of the barbers are so skilled and professional. Probably coming back soon.

I never write reviews legit, but I feel it s my duty to warn the people that visit here. It was my first and last time, the guy who worked on me, shaved off my mustache that I ve been growing for months without consulting me, and shaved my beard as if we were in 1960 s with straight cuts that I never asked for. He got rude and offended when I explained to him that there must have been a misunderstanding. This is probably because he had a few beers before we started cause I noticed his smell as he started his job. I left unsatisfied and I still had to pay 42 dollars. This place may have a long history or whatever, but for it to allow such service is not a good sign. Kinda wish I never went in. I m sure there are much better places in DTLA.

Really pricey for a not good haircut, barber was distracted and not paying attention to what he was doing and messed my hair up pretty bad. I hate confrontation so didnt say anything and just left. Its hair it will grow back...but I wont be back.

Atmosphere is welcoming. The barbers had exceptional hospitality. My haircut was perfect and how I wanted it. Price wise: expensive. But worth every darn penny. I highly recommend this barbershop.

The best thing about this barbershop is their workers. They know everything they did. The charge was very affordable and the service was impeccable. The whole shop was very clean, organized, and smells good. I couldn't have asked for better service from this beauty shop. Highly recommended!

Just got a great cut from Ryan at Angelo s. They fit me in with short notice and got me looking sharp for a black tie event same day. You guys rocked it.

The only things sharper than the haircuts here are their minds. A lot of wit and wisdom passes through in this shop.

My hair was looking rough to say the least. Passers-by offered me their change and left-over lunches, rats on the street seemed to stare suggesting it's nest was more tidy than the tumbleweed sitting atop my head. A bird landed and became snared by the sentient mass and spat out a neat little pile of bones and feathers.

I caught my reflection in the glass of a building and knew something had to be done. As if a sign from the heavens I see the name of the establishment before me, "Angelo's Barbershop".

I walked in, a mother fainted, a child wept, a man waiting for his hot lather and shave let out a wail as hairy tentacles wrapped around his torso trying to feed on another poor soul. But just as they were about to make the kill, Johnny stepped in and said, "NAY! YOU SHALL NOT TAKE ANOTHER INNOCENT!" He whipped out his trusty scissors and began to slash the demonic ropes with the grace and precision of a master swordsman.

After what seemed like hours, dripping with sweat Jonny had slain the beast. He brushed my neck and face, accepted a fair payment and sent me on my way. Little did I know what would happen when I walked out that door.

The first woman that I saw chased me demanding I father her offspring. A married woman threw her wedding ring down and declared her love for me. Her husband then shoved her out of the way and declared his as well. Modeling agents swarmed me demanding I sign to their companies and promising a lavish lifestyle. I hidin a near by reataurant and received a 5 star mealnserved by the head chef free of charge.

I jumped into my car and hit green lights the entire way home. I found parking outside my apartment immediately and went to my room to rest and reflect on the events that had just taken place.

That's my Angelo's Barbershop experience.

Definitely a good place for a haircut with reservation. Parking is difficult and pricey in this area.

If you didn't grow up going to a barber shop with someone's first name in part of the shop's name, you missed out. Luckily, places like Angelo's know the importance of such a service. Here you will get an experience in contrast to the basic haircut you may be used to. From the chill music, to the TV playing whatever works for whoever's around, to the skill of the barbers, both with the shears as well as in conversation, your money is well spent here. I promise. At the risk of me having to wait longer for my haircut next time, I implore you to give Angelo's a shot next time you're in need. Within minutes of sitting down in Isabelle's chair for the first time, I knew I had met my new regular barber. It's something I had been missing for many years.

Spending money on this haircut, that made me look like a nuclear attack survivor, left me with a guilt that I have not had for a very longtime about spending money. I have never hated my hair more than I do now after having a haircut at this place. The worst part is that I paid $50 for the haircut that went exactly the opposite in every detail to what I have explained multiple times to the barber.

My friend brought me to this classy and excellent barbershop near in our place. I was so happy with the barber's work because it was so nice. I didn't regret my decision of cutting my hair at that time. You deserve to be known by many! I should highly recommend you to all of my friends! Cheers!

This place is awful. Charged me $52 for a cut. Dude which was doing the cut is lazy and unprofessional. I have to go to another barber shop to fix it all. He haven't even taken scissors.

Don't come here. They don't respect you. On top of it place looks and smells like we're in a middle of ghetto.
Please have in mind if you'll visit the place act and ask for what you pay. Don't be nice guy. Better be rude and strict. Otherwise they'll take advantage of you.

Good haircut, very authentic vibe. My guy was great, friendly and kept the convo interesting & light. However one of the others, who was obviously a very nice guy, got into a protracted shouting match about God, the Bible etc, with an apparently regular customer who was equally convinced that jewish people run the world, control everything etc etc blah blah, zzzz... That part got really boring really fast. They were so loud I couldn't hear what my guy was trying to ask me about my haircut. But hey, that's LA! Like I said, authentic vibe.

It was this barbershop that has the best service and amazing barbers that can do any hairstyles, and I'm thankful that I was able to try them just in time. It was their barber who makes my hair look so good and even trims my beard perfectly. The service I had from them was totally delightful, and I would be glad to recommend this place to everyone.

Cool energy in an iconic area rught by the dtla park and everyone in there is cool.

Be careful if you're new in town, these greedy, overpriced bastards will gaslight you into believing that LA is more expensive than it actually is. This is something they do so they can have justifiable cause to overcharge you for a haircut that's only worth about $10. The barber college is right around the corner at 5th and Broadway. Save a buck and go there instead.

Classic barbershop vibe: friendly trash talk, raucous music, sports and music memorabilia. I received just a perfect cut: it was exactly what I asked for and matches my style and features. They got me in and out in about fifteen minutes, even though my barber was professional and thorough. The edging is on point, and he trimmed my eyebrows, too! I intend to come back for the straight razor shave and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Reasonable prices, and friendly barbers who ask what you want and listen, and offer good suggestions but check before taking any extra length off.

I walked-in since I was just visiting L.A. He was fast, did a great cut with fade, and it was a great price! I would go back here again. Great atmosphere, nice guys.

The time, effort, and care put into his cut was incomparable. Isla explained how my son's cowlicks moved and how they were going to make the cut work with his hair, rather than against it (as many others had attempted to do instead). I was happy, yet expressed hesitance in styling it after the fact, and Isla took extra time to show me how to work it and told me to contact them if I ever had any questions.

I would stay away. Bad experience overall and bad service

Great shop, friendly barbers. I make a reservation with Fausto everytime I go and it's always a great cut.

Not recommended for a good quality or fair priced haircut. Barber Ryan was quite distracted during my haircut. I told him what I wanted beforehand, he asked me how it looked at the end and I asked him again to fade. But before he fixes the cut, he takes the neck collar off, then continues to buzz and trim for 2-3 minutes letting all my hair go down my shirt.

Worst barber shop ever. They ruined my hair and my beard. The guy who assisted me was just filling his time without paying any attention on details, he left some part of my beard longer, same thing with my hair. Not competitive price, I payed 47 for this. They also cut my face. Next time come to Italy I will show you how a real barber shop works.

I literallly just walked out of this place and write a review. Don t believe the reviews on here. I just checked the mirror when I got back home and the guy cut off ALL my hair from the top when I asked for a half inch off the top.

IAN IS THE MAN!!! I flew in from GA for training and stayed at the millenium hotel... didnt had time to get my fade back home.. I googled barbershop and Angelos came up first with 4.8 reviews! I called them and set up my appointment for 6:30 next day. When
Arrived at 6:33 Ian was waiting for me and made me feel at home right away! He listened to my needs and deliver a great haircut with a killer fade!! Plus his customer service was outstanding! When back in LA i will definately come back!
