Fantastic coffee, great placement, cosy interior and friendly service.

We are visiting Amsterdam for the first time and wanted good coffee. The coffee here blew us away! Really, really.good!

Comfortable place, with a few locals. However the staff isn't great. Even with some experience with Dutch service this was pretty extreme. It took them 40+ minutes to make a bruschetta, and 2 burgers and the place wasn't more than 1/3 full with noone else eating. Neither was worth the price tag. Noone asked if we wanted more drinks, and we were there for 2-3 hours. Some of us ordered at the bar, and was told to sit and wait. When we went to pay, the bartender was more occupied with cleaning glasses, and was rude about the whole thing. If you want a drink in peace and quiet on a sunday afternoon, you should go otherwise stay away.

My local *and it's good - enjoy - bitterballen is tops

This cafe is close to the station and open all day and evening til late. Great for hot and cold drinks, breakfast, lunch and also for evening drinks and food (lighter options). We had eggs with salmon and toast, tea and coffee one morning and then went back another evening for beer, gin, Mediterranean sharing platter and delicious bitterballs. Clientele was mixed, nice ambience, music in the background during the evening and they were advertising music nights there. Always packed when we went past and even has an extremely friendly resident cat!
