My cat has always been very well taken care of at the Ameripet! The staff is very accommodating, and was willing to work with my cat's medication and food schedule. They've also been friendly in every interaction I've had, whether in person or by phone. It's been easy to make and cancel reservations if needed. I've never boarded a dog, but I would highly recommend this boarding facility for cats!

Our pups love going here. They walk through the door and forget about mom and dad. We honestly can t see ourselves taking our fur babies anywhere else. Super flexible, amazing staff.
I started bringing my puppy here when she was only eight weeks old. I was very hesitant about bringing her here, but when I was given the tour of the facilities and explained that dogs can move from different levels of play groups depending not only on the pet's age, but their abilities rearsured me as well as meeting the staff. Gypsy attends full days an average of three times per week and she loves every worker that she comes into contact with. She even likes her goodbye belly rubs better than her treats. She is not just let out with a bunch of dogs to play WIth. But the workers interact with the activities. She totally loves it in here. The staff also try to assist with what the owner desires.,. With Gypsy being a border collie, she needs to get worn out before coming home. They reach that goal the majority of the time, which is graciously accepted and appreciated. These individuals enjoy their job and it shows. We highly recommend you bring your pet here!
We leave our dog at Ameripet every time we leave town. They also do all of our grooming and nails. They always give us a rundown on how our doggy did and have advice on products to use for different needs that arise. The staff seems to rotate but thats not really a con. Highly recommended and they enjoy my dog and thats a major plus.
We buy our dog food from here. And take our dog when we go on vacation. They take great care of her and send us updates while we are away. Thanks for always being awesome!
The staff was great and exceeded expectations by feeding my dog as well as allowing after-hours pickup when I got stuck working late. I took him for daycare almost every Monday through Friday for over starting while he was a puppy. He was always super excited and ready to play whenever I pulled into their parking lot. Their professional handling of all their daycare dogs helped make mine extremely well tempered toward any other dogs he has ever encountered.
We love AmeriPet! Everyone is friendly and seems to know the pets by name, when we drop off and pick up. Our cat always enjoys her time there, and hops right into the kennel when we drop her off. It is obvious that the animals get plenty of attention!
I was very pleased with the service provided to my golden retriever during his daycare stay. The staff genuinely cared about my dog and showed me pictures of his time playing. I would highly recommend this boarding center.
Hate this place. Took my little puppy there, she was less than 6 mos old, and I got her back covered in her own feces. I had taken her there with a sweater that smelled like home, I didn't even get that back.
I don't know if it was because my dog was a pitbull and they were just against that, or if they neglect everyone's dogs equally, but I will NEVER take my babies there ever again.
This place is wonderful. If the dogs are good with other dogs, then they go out for play groups. Our dog gets antsy when we turn into the parking lot because he loves "camp". The people who work here know the dogs and love them.
We LOVE Ameripet. I have two huskies and I am a crazy dog mom. They always follow my written instructions and update me. The prices are very fair and my dogs love going. I have one husky who just turned a year but the first time she went she was about 7 months old and she still did fine. They rotate play groups to keep them small and not overwhelm the dogs. I also have a 4 year old husky that was not properly socialized and abused and they are so so so good with him! They check on him and sit with him in his run because he can't play. And then multiple times a day they will put my two together in a separate play area to let my other dog exercise. Then he goes back to his run and the other one goes back to playing with all the dogs. They are always aware of any issues and have good communication. The staff are so friendly and nice with my CRAZY dogs and I know this is hard because they are wild! Thank you Ameripet for giving my crazy dogs love and me reassurance that I can leave my pets.
Our little pup is always happy to see the staff. The groomer cuts his hair exactly as asked. He always looks so handsome when I pick him up. We had to board him for 16 days in June. Our daughter checked on him regularly and assured me that him was happy and being well cared ffor. Great job Ameripet!
Perfect for last minute scrambling, but had to deal with kennel cough when we got home with him. Was so hoping this would be our go to, but I will be making other arrangements in the future.
Everyone is very nice Colby was a great trainer I believe he went to north Carolina for some major training. He will be back though. Great place to bring your pets for daycare or overnight stays.
I boarded my dog here and he came home sick. Had to take him to the vet and he was put on meds. Was perfectly fine until I boarded him. He is all up to date on his shots also. The place smells awful and when taking him to his room he had to walk through all these cages of dogs barking and going nuts. He was scared to death. I shouldn t have left him there but I didn t have a lot of choices. Will not be back to this facility.
Employees seemed to genuinely care about the pets that stayed there. Our pup didn't seem distressed at all when we came to pick her up after a weekend in Jackson.
I took my 8 year old shihtzu here. After being in their care for less than 24 hours I received word from the emergency vet in town that my dog was in their care and would be undergoing surgery to have his eye amputated due to trama sustained at Ameripet. Ameripet offered me five completely different explanations as to what they thought may have happened but none align to the type and amount of trauma my dog sustained. Be careful if you choose the provider. I can hope my experience is isolated for all of your animals well being, but be aware that my experience is real and could happen to you and your fur baby.
Staff is very kind and knowledgeable about dogs. They offer the first play day free which is great. And they also have great pet products for sale inside.
I love Ameripet! My dog goes here regularly as I travel for work a lot. He is always very happy to go. The facilities are clean and the staff is very friendly. They also offer Sitter 4 Your Critter, for in home pet services. I have them come walk my dog three times a week. They leave you a lock box for your key and a sheet of info about the dog (went to the bathroom, got a treat...) Very trustworthy!
Do NOT take your dog here! They cannot be trusted to feed them. I took my two 50+ pound dogs there for four days with pre portioned sized ziplock bags of food and even included a measuring cup. They had the EXACT amount of food for four days. Came back and was given half of it back! They only fed them a cup a day!
Fantastic staff who know their stuff and can help with all pet care needs from grooming to daycare to training. Boards cats as well as dogs. Very good prices for the quality of care and professional training.
I've been very happy with grooming here. My last visit was not good at all. After picking up my dog I looked him over and felt like he hadn't been trimmed up and he had lots of loose hair and knots. His ears and neck area hadn't been washed or trimmed. He just didn't look as good as the last few times I've taken him there. I called, the groomer told me to bring him back in and she'd fix it. I did so the next day, I specified again what I wanted and what I could see had been missed. After the second time he still look just as shaggy and I don't think she trimmed some of the areas that I specified for the second time and what she did trim again was choppy, chunky and looked worse than before. If I could post pics I would. My dog is a retriever/spaniel, I know his hair can be difficult but having been very happy before I know she could have done a better job. when I asked her if there was a reason she wasn't trimming the area's I specified she's responded she could, they just don't usually do that to goldens. Again in the past the for donethe this for me there. I tipped over 20% for the first unsatisfactory grooming, I wish I had looked him over before doing so. After this experience I won't be back. Needles to say I'm looking for a new groomer if anyone has suggestion...?
I sent my 1 yr old here a few days a week for several months. He always came home worn out at the end of the day, which I liked. I worked hard to properly socialize and train him as a pup because we re training to be a therapy dog team. So when he started going, he was well socialized and I hoped this place would help continuing his socialization with other dogs. As he continued to go, he started to become more and more reactive toward other dogs while on walks and out adventuring. Within a matter of two weeks, it got to the point where he was lunging and practically attacking every dog we passed on a walk. I took him to a trainer for this strange, out of nowhere behavior. The trainer evaluated him and determined that it was a fear response and most likely caused by bullying at daycare since he was never attacked or anything while he was with me. The only other place it could have happened was at daycare. It has taken us months to counter train this fear out of him. It has caused a huge setback in our therapy dog training and our quality of life since I couldn t take him in public for months. I ll never send another dog to daycare. I started doing research and found that this is a common occurrence when dogs go to daycare that has larger play groups and fewer people supervising.
The staff has been very helpful and kind to our dog Penny. They were even willing to replace our dog's collar when it got left out and chewed up. Our dog is very high energy and they were also willing to work with her to get all her energy out.
We like them and will continue to use them to board our dogs when we can't take them with us. They have the most comprehensive care questionnaire I've ever seen and everyone I've seen there is great with animals. Both my dogs came out happy and healthy.
This is a great place that strives to provide the best care for your pets. Their daycare service is wonderful and allows your dog to socialize with other friendly dogs. I would love to move back to be able to use them! It's hard to find good places that board and also do daycare services! Their kennels are also regularly cleaned and maintained and the staff genuinely cares about every dog or cat that comes through!
I have boarded my dog twice now at Ameripet and after the first time, my dog contracted kennel cough. She is vaccinated but since many bugs can cause kennel cough, I thought it was a fluke. But after this second time my dog has had extreme diarrhea. Will not be boarding here for a third time, I can't have a sick dog after every boarding.
Peek A Boo's grooming was just what I asked for. She had the cutest Halloween scarf on and smelled just like the "FuFu" dog she is. Thank you for a fabulous staff that obviously cares about pets. We'll definitely be back!
Great to my dog. When I first brought her, she was new to our family. Snake River Animal Shelter recommended the training. It was great and Coby, the trainer, helped my dog break from her shell. There is still more work that needs to be done and I won't go anywhere else.
My son is miles and states away from home while he has surgery. He picked Ameripet based on their cleanliness and experience. I, his Mom, have been keeping i. They have sent pictures, reassurance that all is well! They are the best!
Really courteous staff and very responsive. They accept late pickup of the dog for an additional fees, boarding is clean. Will highly recommend to anyone who can t take their pet with them to yellowstone national park.
Ameripet was the first boarding place I have ever used for my 2 Shih Tzus. Right when I dropped them off they made the experience great! They were there for a week and I was able to call and check on them as much as I wanted and they sent me pictures of my boys as well which was awesome! When we picked them up we got everything we had left with them back in the same condition. I will definitely use Ameripet again in the future!
Don't take your dog here! I gave specific instructions on what I wanted her hair cut like, and they pretty much did the opposite of everything I asked. Now my dog has no hair and will look stupid for the next few months. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere.
Have english bulldog (UGA) here often, as we travel out of town for summer sports. Always have him shampooed, loves playing with the other dogs and comes home smelling great.
We were only in town for a couple days. We wanted to board our Australian Shepherd rather than finding an expensive pet friendly hotel. The office was very nice and helpful and after just a few check-in papers we were all set. We picked up our pup a couple days later and he seemed very happy and well exercised as he did get to play with the other dogs.
Awesome place to board animals. They will even text you pictures of your pets and let you know how they are doing. Exceptional staff! Highly recommend.
Our dogs go every week and they (and we) absolutely love it. Staff is wonderful. Facility is very clean and well run. Dogs are safe and come home tired and happy.
