Absolutely worst shipping I have ever had. First, they promised me that they would deliver my dining table next Thursday. The following Thursday, the dining table didn't arrive! We were then called to hear that they apparently rang our doorbell, though throughout the whole day I could not hear it. Now the table is in a storage house in a different state and I am currently waiting for them to respond to the situation. Also, even if I weren't home, the driver should at least contact the company that the recipient isn't home (which they obviously did not do). I will remove this one star until everything is cleared up.

One of the worst businesses I've ever tried dealing with. I got word they were in possession of a long awaited piece pending delivery. I waited 1 and a 1/2 weeks with no word. I reached out to them and the nightmare began. All I can say is good luck reaching ANYBODY here and FYI, all the "extensions" they offer on the recording, all lead to the same generic voicemail stating they WILL return your call. NOT! I was about to cancel the order when the original vendor stepped up and was able to get it transferred another delivery company who was excellent.

Horrendous company, had furniture picked up on 6/2...

Horrendous company, had furniture picked up on 6/27. Customer service kept assuring it would reach the NE distribution center shortly. After countless emails they finally said it just reached their center in California (where the item was picked up) on 7/23. Tell me how it takes a month from Santa Barbara to their warehouse in Mira Loma. Now its August 5th with no delivery in sight, and zero compensation to me. If from the beginning they stated that deliveries due to the pandemic would be pushed back over a month I would have at least appreciated the communication, but instead the customer service representatives lie continuously. WILL NEVER USE/recommend this company, I will be contacting the furniture store I bought from to let them know to never use this company again.

First time with American West. They called yesterday to schedule a delivery and said it would be at 10 am. It is now 10:52 and when I called to check the dispatcher said she said 10 to 3...not true at all. I can see making a mistake and apologizing, instead she started shouting at me! Terrible customer service!

Worst shipping experience I have ever had. The furniture I was awaiting sat in a warehouse for almost a month. I thought it was on its way to us and when I finally called, they informed me that they had never even left for the drop off and the reason they gave was inexcusable. In addition, after ensuring it would be shipped "rush" I called back a few days later only to find out it was still sitting in the same warehouse. This company should not be in business with quality shippers so plentiful.

Extremely unhappy with Amwest. I'm an interior designer in Michigan waiting for a client's dining table that was picked up in California on June 19th. It is still not in Michigan and won't be here until July 16th - nearly a month! EVERY freight company says 5-10 business days (which we all know is at least 2 weeks in real time). This is a LIE. They pick up an order/item and then park their truck for a few weeks waiting to be filled. When I spoke to a customer representative yesterday she said she was on the phone all morning with another designer who was upset. Because of these horrible freight companies us designers are constantly stressed and quickly losing business to Amazon and Wayfair.

It is impossible to get a body on the phone and when you do they have zero empathy to the fact that they have failed at every turn. We were told our delivery would be at 9 AM on Tuesday, so we came in an hour early to accommodate the delivery. It did not arrive, so my boss called the direct number to dispatch that called us and was miraculously able to speak to a person who assured us they would let the driver know that we would not be here and instructions on where to put it. He did not get the message and left with our rug. Then we were assured it would arrive by the end of the week. It did not. Now our rug is two states away and we won t get for another week. I m assuming that won t happen either. All of this after waiting almost a month for the shipment in the first place. I left 4 voicemails and sent 2 emails, none of which were returned. Worst shipping company ever.
