Bad management. I bought a new furniture but missing parts. They delivered the parts six weeks later. I never shopping this store.
Excellent customer service while shopping in the store. They delivered everything on the promised delivery date. They have an excellent delivery tracker updating you of your estimated arrival time. It tells you what stop they are on and what stop you are. Really awesome so you are not wasting your whole day waiting at home! The gentlemen who assembled my furniture were super nice and respectful of my home. Would definitely order from them again!

I have been to this location and purchased multiple pieces of furniture in the past, and never experienced the terrible service that I experienced today. I came in to purchase a bed (headboard, footboard, the whole lot) with a pretty clear idea of exactly what I was looking for. I wandered around for about 30 minutes with basically every employee in the store walking right past me without offering any help. Eventually, I found almost exactly what I was looking for, but not in the color I wanted. I approached an employee to ask if there was a possibility of getting the same bed in a different color, or if I could get some help finding something similar in the color I like. Instead of putting any effort into helping me find what I was looking for, the employee told me "what you see is what you get" and to go wander around the store some more and try to figure it out on my own. I don't know if this woman didn't believe I actually had enough money to be worth her time helping or what, but I felt incredibly disrespected to be dismissed that way. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.
We just moved and needed a couch. We worked with Kay, she's great, I would recommend her to a friend. She was responsive, she was helpful, if I was only rating Kay here I would be giving a 5 star rating.
We received a couch and the couch is awesome. Works great in the living room, feels great, awesome couch.
I gave this store 4 stars because when my couch was ordered, they required 100% payment, sight unseen. No down payment, no installment system, just a non-refundable deposit right away. If the final product is not what I wanted, or not what I ordered, I could refuse delivery, but otherwise I was basically this business's bank between my purchase in mid-July and my delivery in late August.
Was mattress shopping in Madison. Stopped at a couple mattress stores and they wouldn't deliver to my area. On a whim, stopped at Ashley's. Not only was Kay friendly, very helpful and made the experience rather pleasant, but they could deliver to my area. 10/10 I will visit again as long as I get Kay.
Camren James was the best furniture salesperson! He did not follow us around the store or continue to hover. We were able to ask questions and make decisions without feeling pressured.

Extremely poor customer service! I would always get the run around of people saying, a manager will call you back but no one ever did. Cancelled my order without even telling me. I will never order furniture from here ever again!!
They told me that the couch that I ordered was available with a chaise; however it didn't come with one at delivery. They then told me that they would order it; stopped in a month later. No chaise. "Cool, we'll order it again." Again, a month later. No chaise. Finally they ordered a whole couch with the chaise and were just going to give me the chaise part. They never called to tell me it was in, and sold it the DAY BEFORE I stopped in to check on it. So incredibly disappointed with the amount of time that I wasted working with these guys. Buyer BEWARE! I ended up returning the couch from them (after, I don't know, 6 visits in the store) and buying at A1. The people at Ashley were nice enough, just made lots of empty promises. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone, for any reason.
PS, A1 was willing to deliver my new couch THE NEXT DAY! Seriously, check them out before you go here. The store on the East side is massive and they have lots of items in stock!
It took the staff 1hr to figure out what was missing on the order I was picking up. I started doing the checklist myself to make sure everything was there.
Staff was helpful and not too pushy. Only problem is the web site said they had pieces in stock and they did not. Ended up ordering online back at home.
Needed to get appliances for a new build and my builder, Bill Weber, suggested I go to Furniture & ApplianceMart. Worked with Austin who offered great customer service and incredible information and perspective. Appreciated how responsive he was to follow up with answers and to the email questions I had.

We ordered a new sectional on Sept. 4 and we still don't have it. They set up delivery 2 weeks ago, only to find out after no one showed that they were only going to deliver part of it! After several calls, I was told it is on manufacturer backorder and that the soonest they could deliver is on Oct. 31st. I got a call today that it is still not done and now delivery is set for Nov. 15th. I am beyond frustrated! We wanted to sell our current couch, but it's a good thing we didn't or we would have been sitting on our living room floor! After talking to others, it is clear we are not the only one's this has happened to! I am cancelling my order and won't return. Such a disappointment!
David Stricklin helped us buy a new mattress set and bed, and couldn't have been more accommodating! He was clearly an expert, and helped us find the perfect options for our preference and price range. We will be back to work with him soon!

I got a great deal on a reclining sofa however, waiting for it to arrive was hell. They constantly kept pushing back my delivery date and after 3 weeks and almost another push back they delivered my couch. I will never shop there again no matter how nice the furniture is. Also the delivery men didn t seem very strong and had major issues bringing the couch up 1 flight of stairs into my living room.
I really enjoyed being able to wander and browse without being immediately pounced upon by aggressive sales staff like other furniture stores in the area. The staff was available but unobtrusive and very friendly. There was quite a selection to choose from, and I found what I wanted at the budget I expected. Great experience.

This is not the place to shop at if you are looking for a company that actually cares about their customers, or is in any way competent.
They struggle with every part of their business: the salesman did not know the current specials and tried to double charge me for delivery as they were back ordered, my delivery came missing a part and the delivery men told me to get a friend so I could finish assembly myself once my part arrived, and when I called to check on the delivery status of my part (after two weeks of no updates) the service rep hung up on me.
Next the repairman sent to install my missing part broke off a leg of the table. Finally, five months after I purchased the table, two repairmen came and replaced the table leg. Five months it took them to provide me a with fully functioning table, which I have been paying for the entire time.
You honestly could learn carpentry and build a table yourself faster and easier than you could buy a table at Ashley.
We.went to look for a recliner and ended up with 2 recliners and a matching sofa! Great sale going on right now. Dreu was so helpful and not pushy. Love the set! Thank you!
I recently just purchased a bed with Ashley's. I stopped there on a whim just to look. As soon as I walked in I got service. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The bed I chose was just added to the floor, so it had to be ordered. It came a week and a half later. I was not home when they came, but my boyfriend said they were very friendly and very quick. They had a lot of good deals going on with the beds. I got their credit card through Wells Fargo. They have a variety of different choices for special financing! I had a great experience here and I will definitely be going back for any other furniture I will need throughout my lifetime!

I love my new bed (mattress and frame)!! And for once didn t have a bunch of stress in the buying process. Borderline scammy. Found the couch we wanted online, went in and their 'sale' price was nearly $200 more than the website and delivery when purchased in store was double. Sales person wasn't listening to us either, told her we wanted a small chaise in the $600 range... She proceeded to take us to about 5 couches in the $2000-$5000 range and tell us we could finance. The whole store is misleading, its not officially affiliated with Ashley other than their sign on the front.
Went to buy a mattress and was approached by James, he ended up being the help I didn t even know I needed. Walking I was most concerned on budget as usual but James really helped me determine what was of the best value and would give me exactly what I needed in a mattress. My experience is best described as a learning one, I actually found not only what I do like in a bed, but just as importantly what I don t! And best of all the bed I felt the best on, was the also one within budget! and that credit goes to James. If your going to this location for a mattress he s the man to see. It was a pleasure to have done business with him and I would recommend his expertise to all.

My husband went into the store today and waited for over an hour and was never even greeted. He counted 6 employees who walked right past him and never spoke to him. He was in there to furnish our new home. He is a young black male and they assumed he was not able to purchase the furniture there. We will definitely not purchase our furniture there and will tell all our family and friends of this experience. You need to tell your employees to not judge a potentional customer just by their race and age. David the manager was the only one who spoke to me.

Great prices on my recent purchase, extremely good quality furniture, the sales person was a pleasure to work with and worked with me on the final pricing. The delivery crew arrived on time as planned, set up the furniture nicely and was extremely professional the entire time. I will def8be back the next time I need something the store sells. We were talked into buying one of their warehouse deals , which means you lose all rights to return the unit. Well their delivery drivers damaged the freezer drawer in transport. Luckily I did buy the warranty so we're covered right? Well, yes and no. Their warranty company, Diamond, has yet to fix our freezer drawer as of 7/5/18 and we bought the unit on April 24th. We've contacted both a number of times. Honestly, this kind of post purchase service is awful. I would just own up to the lemon and offer a credit towards another purchase. Instead, we will never be going back to this store knowing how they stand behind their sales, and I will make sure to let all who will listen know this as well.
We where finally going to get a good set of couches. So I shopped around and kept coming back to Ashley for a certain couch that they carried. I liked the covering and the depth of the seats. However the cushions didn t last a year:( when you sit on them they tilt you so bad to the center, we have to put plywood under them to keep any support. I bought the warranty with the couches. Come to find out they don t guarantee the cushion support. If they can t stand behind their products I don t need to shop there anymore. I work to hard for my money, to have stuff fall apart.
We ordered a new sofa ottoman and chair. Jesse Bautista was so helpful with helping us at the store. When it arrived, the delivery guys moved our old furniture to our lower level before bringing in the new furniture. What a help that was! We had a great experience. Would definitely go back to them to order any new furniture.

TERRIBLE customer service. Ordered a desk which came completely destroyed. Top of the desk was split in two as well as lots of scratches and scuffs. Contacted them and was told to call corporate. Contacted corporate and they said it has to go through the store. Contacted the store again and was told they could do it but they can t cancel the rest of my order (desk chair and file cabinet) until I send them picture of the damaged desk. Sent the pictures and they tell me they cant cancel the chair and cabinet and can return the desk but only if I bring it into the store. WTF? So I need to rent a truck to return it? This is just the icing on the cake after dealing with a dresser that was shipped damaged 3 times and a mattress that they forgot during another delivery. I was stupid for trying to order something from here again but will never make that mistake again. Save yourself the headache. Go to Steinhafels, Dons, or online. I realized later I could have ordered this exact same desk set on Amazon and would have been protected by amazons return policy.
Terrible. Still have not recieved my washer/dryer after five days. I took off work both days. Dont waste your time. Ive had nothing but bad experiences.

My shipment was delayed and the first person I spoke with told me that perhaps a hurricane was responsible for the delay. After calling during dinner to tell me of the delay, they rescheduled my Saturday delivery for a Tuesday. It turns out it would be in the warehouse over a week before they were scheduling the new delivery date. Given it is late, they could have scheduled the late delivery on a weekend, but they just didn t, because they don t care.
Do not purchase from this store. Tell your friends not to buy anything from here. It s a worthless company, not worth a moment of your time.

From the attention and knowledge of the salespeople to the care of the delivery team and the quality of the items we purchased, we had an EXCELLENT experience!!!
Overall it was an awful experience. First we ordered a bed and it got delivered 6 weeks after they promised and assured the "absolute latest" date we would receive it. We tried to get a matching dresser and they ordered the wrong one. When I called to exchange it I talked to Laura who was extremely rude and refused to help or do anything. I called back again and Nora from customer service was very nice and then our sales person Chuck made sure to make things right and helped us finish everything else. Chuck and Nora were great, Laura's customer service was less than ideal.
6 months ago, I ordered a Queen size bedroom set. The workers were so professional and friendly. Upon installation my bed they found that the footboard was damaged and helped me to get it replaced. They were so quick and know what they do. Despite the replacement process took almost 2 months and I had to call them many times to set an appointment for the replacement of the damaged footboard, but i m really satisfied with the service in general.
I walked through the whole store, and not a single sales person offered to help me. I will take my business else where.
It's pretty much your typical high-pressure sales furniture store with prices that are quite a bit higher than some smaller appliance and furniture stores in the area. Nonetheless we purchased an LG washer and dryer on clearance here simply because it was last year's model and no one else had it in stock.
When you first walk in you'll be given plenty of attention. Browsing on one's own here seems to be taboo, which is a shame because they do not post prices on their website. Seriously, you need to email them to get a price on anything, which seems like an awful waste of time and energy in this day of dynamic websites and constant updates.
We also purchased an extended service plan but I am getting a refund on it because the salesperson lied to me when she sold it. She said if we did not use the plan we'd be refunded half of the purchase price. I asked her if it was a check for half of the amount and she said yes. Come to find out it's for store credit only.
If you like sheisters and flexible-with-the-truth, high-pressure sales people all up in your face then this is definitely the place for you. If you just want to casually look at things on your own I'd suggest going to one of the other major furniture retailers in the immediate area.

My boyfriend and I recently went into Furniture & ApplianceMart on the hunt for nightstands. What we ended up leaving with was a king sized Tempur-Pedic mattress and base, but we will be back for furniture in the future! We didn't feel any pressure to buy and the whole process was smooth, all our questions were answered, and we got an awesome deal! If you head to this store in Madison, ask for Jason White. He was awesome to work with and spent close to 3 hours with us making sure we were happy with our purchase.
Worst customer service ever. After spending $6,000 on a new mattress and foundation, I would expect that there would be adequate follow-up to ensure that it's delivered, installed and functioning properly. Numerous phone calls and emails have been exchanged and my foundation still makes a loud buzzing noise when I try to use the expensive add-on circulatory motor. I was promised it would be replaced over 2 months ago and I haven't heard a word from anybody about it. I will never shop there again.
Incompetent at every possible level. They scheduled a delivery for a sofa, which never showed up on the scheduled date. When I called, they hung up on me, and when I called again, they told me "oops, it was canceled." No notice or warning at all; no nothing. So I rescheduled. But surprise, my Ottoman will be 2 months late, now.
Next week, I get a notification that they're delivering a different couch. So I call. One person hangs up on me. The next call, they tell me they don't know why they're different couches, but they probably just renamed it. I say, "well I'm sending it back if it's different."
Today, it's delivered. It is not my couch. It is a different couch. I call. They redirect me to an old phone number which has been disconnected. They literally can't even get transfer calls right. So I call again. This time they get it right, and after another transfer, I go to a salesman who tells me my sofa has been discontinued, but suggests I get a loveseat, instead.
Infuriating. We'll see if I actually ever manage to get that refund or not. I'm sure it won't be painless.

Absolutely horrible. I went in to purchase a NEW couch. Found one and bought it. They told me it would be there in 3-5 business days, called 6 days later asking where it was. They told me then it would be there in 4 days. I called on that day and told me it had to be sent back because there was rips in the side. Another week and a half and my couch is in. I bought a sectional, 3 sections. The ottoman had a decent sized rip in it and didn't come with feet at all. In another, the cushion had a large whole where the zipper ends, and both these didn't have the leg wholes pre drilled so I couldn't put them on, even if I had them for the ottoman. And the other section looked like it had been refurbished with large spots on the back. Got my money refunded after 2 hours in the store plus all the other time that was wasted. Went to slumberland.

Terrible experience. My husband and I made a purchase in June and have had issues upon issues with "the manufacturers" as well as having two of our pieces get lost in the warehouse. As of today (10/12) we have still not received any of our six pieces we ordered in June. A delivery was scheduled for last week and then no one ever showed up. We were not informed that no one would be delivering our furniture. Nor have we received any money back or discounts regardless of the unacceptable behavior we have received. The customer service and return on investment have been absolutely atrocious. We will 100% NEVER make another purchase from Ashley, and I have been telling everyone I know not to ever purchase anything from there either. We should have stuck with steinhafels-- at least they know how to do business.
Do not purchase the Furniture Protection Plan. Purchased a sectional with a Furniture Care Protection Plan. Filed a claim in on June 27th this year. The cleaning did not work, so they were going to ship us replacement parts. Called 2 weeks ago, the parts would be here this week. Called this week, the parts will be here next week. Asked what had changed, they could not tell me. They do not return phone calls, you have to keep calling them. It's been months and every time they tell us it can take 4-6 weeks. Then it changes to 6-8 weeks. Different every time. Then it turns out that they aren't shipping us the complete parts. We are looking at a pillow and a case for the sectional. They are just shipping us the case, which does not fix the issue. Again, the plan seemed like a good idea at the time, even the sales person said if we have pets and kids, this would be worth it. Well, we do have pets and kids, and it really isn't worth it. Do not purchase the Furniture Protection plan.
We worked with Martha at Ashley West and loved the experience! She wanted to get to know us, our experiences, our ideal home and helped us fill in our furniture gaps! We didn t feel pressured to buy buy buy, but rather inspired to select the few perfect pieces that enhanced our overall home! Thanks Martha!
I was elated with the service I received from Tatjana. I initially came to the store to pick up ca new couch and kitchen island (ordered from the Eastside store) and ended up adding a wonderful powered recliner from the clearance section. When I entered the store, I was dressed for moving (Grateful Dead cut off and athletic shorts). Unlike some of the other sales associates, Tatjana did not judge me based on my appearance. She simply assumed the sale and did an absolutely stellar job getting me exactly what I needed. I will return simply to buy from her again. My best advice, skip the other sales associates and simply ask for Tatjana off the bat.
I highly recommend Furniture & Appliance Mart in Madison. We recently purchased a small refrigerator for holding soda/water for our staff and members. The personal service we received was greatly appreciated, from explaining the features to delivery and setup. Check out this family owned business for all your home and office needs!

Please stay away from this place. I bought a foam "Ashley Sleep" mattress from this place last month. It was delivered to me via fedex since it was a foam mattress, I followed all the instructions and removed from the packaging. Left it on the floor to "expand". When it expanded, both ends expanded less than the rest by several inches. Your head and feet end up laying on recesses. I called the store to get it replaced and they told me they do not cover warranties. Gave me a website to fill out a form and send in pictures, which I did 3 weeks ago. I have heard nothing, no phone number to contact these people.
They will just steal your money while providing a non working process for warranty claims. If this is the kind of unethical and deceptive business practice, good luck. I would suggest going to Bob's, where I have never had a problem, or order from Nectar on line.
We had a very positive interaction with the salesperson at the Ashley store, but their products and customer care service have been a major disappointment. We ordered a dining set and it was damaged on delivery. The table was gouged through the middle, the side was scratched and the veneer around the edges was cracking. One of the chairs had a broken leg. It took 2 1/2 months for a new leg to be shipped. A replacement table was delivered, but it was also damaged and customer care staff never placed the order for a replacement. I understand that sometimes products get damaged, and we've tried to be patient, but it has been three months since we ordered the table set, and we are still dealing with delays. Customer care staff have not responded to emails and have not been very responsive to our concerns. While the in-store salesperson was very helpful, I don't think we'll ever shop here again.

Not sure why this store does not have a 5 Star review. Iv'e been here at least 4-5 times in the last 3 months buying things for my new home. The staff here has always been extremely friendly. They do a good job making you feel like family.
I've worked with James Talbee, which has always gone above and beyond making sure we were taken care of. Even going as far as to bringing my handles for my fridge to me at work. Talk about customer service!
Dreu from the furniture side, and the gals back at the customer service desk are polite and quick when it comes to purchasing my dinning set. I will continue to go to these guy's when it comes to furnishing and decorating my home.

I would love to have rated this store higher. Really! But the service I received on Monday 5/25/20. Just wasn t the best.
Finally after looking at a few options we think we may have found the couch we like. We ask if we could browse by ourselves just to make sure that was the one. He then tells us due to covid he has to be near us for whatever reason. So we start walking around keeping a distance between ourselves and him while we talk about our decision. Finally after five minutes or maybe less we loop back around to the couch we like. After sitting there and confirming with ourselves about our decision the employee (Drew) is no where to be found.
So we take a loop around the store once more to find him, no luck. We circle back around to our choice and wait for 30+ minutes for him or anyone to ask us if we re ready to purchase. Now I would have gone up to another employee but most of them were with someone or on the phone. I also didn t want to get lost (it is a pretty big store). Finally we decided to leave and go back to the furniture store down the street. On our way out there still was no sign of Drew and every other employee in the front were all on their phones or chit chatting away.
Have purchased a couple of home furniture items recently and have been very satisfied with the service, selection and quality related to those purchases.

We purchased a bedroom set three years ago and were told the mattress was great quality and we would be happy with it. After one year we noticed the bed was creaky, just by sitting on it, it sounded like it was about to break. Now the mattress spring is going. It's so uncomfortable. The mattress looks brand new, we haven't moved it or anything. Even a toss or turn in the middle of the night wakes up our baby. It's awful! Mattresses should last longer. I won't buy from them again.
We went there looking for chairs for our counter. Way to many choices. They were nice enough to let us take the floor models home so we could make a better decision. We ended up buying 10 chairs, a matching bench and some accent pieces. Our salesperson Linda was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Nice store. We really like it here. The sales people are good at leaving you alone until you need help.
