Been here many times before but really disappointing lately. Came with a large group tonight and we were forced to have the prix fixe menu which was extremely challenging with a group of 12. 12 of us were seated at a table that should ve been for 8, and the manager, Frankie, was very rude. Literally told us to go find another restaurant to eat at. Unacceptable! Stayed in spite of her rudeness because where else are we going to go on a Saturday night last minute at 8 pm with 12 people? Food was OK. Some highlights, some not. Not enough food though for family style. Actually left hungry. Had been planning to hold my husband 60th birthday party there but no longer! Actually embarrassed because this was our recommendation and our friends were really upset by the end of the night.

Their outlet in the Urban Space Vanderbilt served me a horrendous lamb gyro. The lamb can only be described at powdery and inedible. The fries rolled into the pita were soggy beyond recognition. A total downer for $12.

Food was tasty, staff was friendly. I ended up having dinner at the bar.

Ambiance was warm and welcoming and enjoyed the buzzy evening vibe!

Portion size is extremely small for the price. Be prepared before dining.

We had a reservation that I'd made on Open Table but they couldn't find it.....eventually they did. We were a table for 5 and a man with the most absurd hairdoo went to make our table for 4 large enough for 5 and then took us there. There were a few guys at the table near us and they left their backpacks and skateboard on the floor so Dale tripped on the skateboard. Her back hurts today. Is this the school cafeteria?

Food was ok. Noise was too much.

This is owned by the same folks that own Periyali but there is no comparison. We live across the street and had been there 2 years ago. We've not been back and do go to Periyali that's a 30 minute taxi ride.

We will not be back.

I went there on a field trip with my culinary arts class. It's accessible by train (4, 5, 6 trains to 59th street and Lexington Ave). It's a perfect place for dining with friends, family and co-workers. There is even a section for special occasions. The address is 115 East 60th street, New York, NY 10002.

Not bad. Great service but I wasn t a fan of the food. For the location and price point I wouldn t travel here as a destinations for a meal from Amali.

We had the lamb burger and chicken dish. Again, just OK.

This was a great find for later in the evening after cocktails earlier. The food compared well to what we are used to as a farm to table restaurant in California. The prices were great. the service was great. the ambience was great. Unfortunately we came out to a rainy October evening in New York but you can't have everything !

My wife and I came for a Friday night date night dinner and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were delicious and each dish was equally delicious. We were tempted to start the whole meal over again. The chef, Alex, and server, Marcos, were exceptionally friendly and professional. We we will certainly be back. Thank you for a great dinner date night out!

Amali is a quaint restaurant in Midtown East that features dishes with Greek and Italian origins. From the shared plates, try the Burrata di Campagna, which features a generous portion of silky, creamy burrata cheese lighted dressed in kritiko olive oil. The pastas were hit and miss, as some noodles were overcooked and the sauce was underseasoned. Make sure to make reservations in advance as the space can get crowded, but it's a nice option for a nicer night out or a weekend brunch.

Four starts. Cute Italian restaurant. Nice wine list especially for Rose. Chicken on brick was nice. My favorite was Strawberry, celery (!), basil, and cheese in white balsamic vinegar. Have outside seating for four ppl. Would come back again.

We got their thanksgiving package to go and like the variety there. My favorite item is the fish. It was cooked beautifully. It turned out great after I reheated it on thxgiving day, just like fresh from kitchen. Also really enjoyed their squash sides and stuffing though the stuffing portion was rather small.

Would love to come back after COVID for a dine in experience!

Overrated and overpriced mediocre food. They make a big point out of "dock to table", blockchain (!) tracked fish, but the fluke turned out to be just dry. The NY strip wasn't very tender with a lot of fat. Appetizers and sides were uninspiring and bland. Avoid! Service okay.

Amali exceeded all expectations, truly exceptional service and food! I recommend trying as many dishes as you can, each one has such a unique flavor profile and amazing taste. The service and dining atmosphere perfectly suited the amazing food, friendly staff who made dining-in feel safe.

I liked the food a lot at Amali. But I would qualify the restaurant as good neighborhood Italian restaurant... with 1 Star Michelin prices. I ordered a regular quinoa salad. Portion was very small... price $19. Added a (very small) piece of salmon and the bill came with an additional $22 for the salmon alone. Are you kidding me?!?!? I complained and the waitress didn t even come and explain. Unacceptable.

They've got two tables out side and we took one of them. It was perfect. The space is really nice and the good is excellent. It's the melanza spread was really tasty as was the ricotta toast. It's about the right amount of food and not prepared super heavily.

Amali is an amazing Greek Mediterranean restaurant tucked just a few steps west from 60th and lex. With an understated minimalist exterior, walking into Amali is a pleasant surprise with their quaint main dining room and the skylight room in the back. The food is a perfect mix of avant garde cooking and classic Mediterranean flavors. To top it all off, this place boasts a sizable wine list featuring Greek wines you won't find elsewhere.

If you re looking for a good classic Mediterranean dining experience with a modern touch, Amali is the place for you! The service was exceptional and the food didn t fall short of that either.

Always love going to this place. The octopus and tirokafteri appetizers are a must have. I have had most of their pastas by now, and have never been disappointed. Service had always been good too. Been here for business as well as casual lunches.

Delicious food, great service, helpful without hovering, very good with recommendations. Roasted beets, feta for apps and scallops and the lamb burger for dinner. Almond cake was very tasty, it was the size of a single kit kat but tasty. Will go back. Dinner with drinks for 2 +$200

although the food on the menu was very good and reasonable, the special of the night was overcooked pasta and twice the cost of any other item on the menu. (which we were not informed of) the old fashions were 22.00 a pce. its an old fashion with well bourbon...........not going back.

Enjoyed the service cocktails and food immensely. Its not full enclosed so if you get cold easily I'd suggest to dress warm but they do have their heat lamps. Italian Mediterranean cuisine and an extensive wine selection. The staff is very friendly professional and attentive. Highly recommend

This is our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh, well prepared, and satisfying. They pay attention to local and sustainable sourcing. The ambience is nice too. I think this place is downtown quality and cool, but uptown :)

Reasonably priced, tasty food in a very cozy setting. Has a lot of Greek influence on the spices and the preparation, but it feels more like fusion rather than a twist on Greek cuisine. Really liked the pork and the spicy cheese tyrokafteri spread. Drinks are a little pricey (but not so much so that I would take a star away)

This past Sunday we hosted a baby shower luncheon at Amali. Outstanding in all respects. Setting (Sopra room for meal and opening of presents, Fireplace room for welcome/cocktails) was warm and perfect size. The long narrow table setting was ideal for our 30 guests allowing lots of conversation to those across and beside. The service was ideal- so perfectly attentive you barely noticed. MOST importantly: The food was superb- 'to die for' Caesar salad, French toast perfectly crisp on outside while creamy inside, and risotto carbonara ideal blend of pancetta, pecorino and poached egg. As one guest said to another who had never been to a baby shower, "Don't expect an experience like this at most baby showers." Thank you, Amali. All of you contributed to a very memorable day.

Try their scallops entree if available. It's a must. This place was recently redone and as such the decor is wonderfully cozy. It's not that big of a place and if you're walking by, you may even miss it as I did!

Had a private a event here and it was the worst experience. If I could give zero stars I would. The food was cold and not good. The service was poor, nobody was walking around refilling drinks or bread. Had to ask the management to come over and still nothing changed. DO NOT GO HERE horrible, horrible!

Visited for brunch on Nov. 21 and the experience was pleasant. There is music in the background and plenty of outdoor seating. I made the reservation for 2 of us about one hour before. My husband ordered the Cavatalli and I ordered the Bolognese pasta. The Cavatalli has shredded braised lamb and a nice hint of mint. The bolognese was more flavorful and oily than expected. For drinks they offer unlimited Vueve for $40 which we will come back for... we had the Chardonnay, la belle roches, and definitely recommend it - it also has 5 stars on some wine lists. Definitely plan to come back. Last thing - their bread and dip is delicious!!!

Amali vs. FISHTAG

Amali vs. FISHTAG

I dined at these two restaurants four days apart, and found Amali better in every way. Granted, I was at Amali on a Tuesday night when the restaurant was not too busy vs. Friday night at FISHTAG--I will hazard that the service was off because of the volume... We also preferred Amali over All'onda in Union Square.

Anyway, menu offerings were similar, but...

THE OCTOPUS HERE IS OFF THE CHARTS! $18 "spanish octopus" (castelveltrano olives, yukon potatoes, wild oregano) was way better than FISHTAG's (sorry). It was also pre-cut into little forkable bite-sized pieces which made it look less scary Kraken.

We LOVED the $17 "warm hen of the woods" salad (marcona almonds, shaved kohlrabi, tender greens). It was very light and summery but somehow worked for this cold winter night.

The pasta, made in-house, is very impressive. Chewy and semolina-flavorful, a shareable portion (if you get a couple starters) or enough for a meal. We had orecchiette with merguez, broccoli rabe, and fresh chili. Pasta here was also way better than

For dessert we had the ricotta doughnuts--which were like classy sugar munchkins on lemon curd. Now, any excuse to eat lemon curd is a good one. The order came with 5 doughnut holes so you can easily share it 5 ways to be less of a fatty. We actually had wanted to try the apple crostata with salted caramel gelato. Will just have to come back for it.

Very extensive wine list of about 400 wines, detailed about vintages, several nice options available even in the $40 bottle range. Seriously one of the best selection/value wine lists I've seen in midtown.

Really great. A midtown jewel. Go here.

Loved absolutely everything about my lunch at Amali. The owners and Chef were super friendly and accommodating and the food was absolutely amazing! The scallops, the sea bass, the salmon...all fantastic. The spread of appetizers that we tried was an amazing assortment of flavors and was more Mediterranean than Italian....I would recommend everything on the menu and I felt that everyone was covid-compliant and perfectly safe with masks, gloves, etc. The owners did a FABULOUS job and I am going to make a point to get to their other locations!!! Thank you so much!!

Love this place . The fact that they have some sits outdoor , especially on Fridays , love it for the summer . Their pasta is so good and a glass of wine will do it. For sure will be back again and again.
