Worked with recycled clothing.Staff very helpful to the volunteers.. Made sure we had water and a snack.! Enjoyed the experience and grateful for the opportunity to help them deal with the donated clothes
The head of fundraising is extremely beautiful. I hope her husband knows how lucky he is.
Horrible place to work for! The communication between HR and home management are the worse. Training is also horrible and the lady will be touching all on you during an pandemic.
Alvis is not aiding individuals in their return home. They inhibit them as much as possible. The majority of staff is rude and unhelpful. Case managers do not do their job. Re-entering society is difficult enough without Alvis not allowing you to attend church services or outside educational opportunities. But instead they send you to affiliated organizations, that do not provide adequate services that others providers in the community do.
I do not recommend Alvis services to anyone. You will be greatly disappointed and severely hindered in your return to society.
Also the grievance procedure is a joke. They have internal policies regarding grievances and nobody ever responds. Most of their practices fall outside of legislation and administrative ruling of the ODRC.
It's a great and safe company to work for. I wouldn't trade Alvis for any other company.
I've seen some good people come and go but I wouldn't trade this work experience for the world
