The problem with recruiting/staffing agencies is that they do not work for YOU; you, who walk into their office hoping they will match you for a job, are not their client- especially since you are not the one paying them. Rather, it is the companies who advertise vacancies and recruit through these agencies who are the clients. Therefore, Altis and other employment agencies have zero accountability to you whatsoever. So if you choose to seek Altis' help in finding a job, go in with the understanding that your needs are at the very bottom of the totem pole.
I've been "registered" (or whatever the correct term is) with Altis for nearly a year now. I first went in for my initial meeting I believe in May or June of 2015, during which I was told that their success rate for staffing job seekers is approximately 15%; not a good sign from the start! In all that time, I've been contacted a total of three (3) instances for possible jobs, none of which were met with any success. In one instance, they actually sent me on an interview and provided me the wrong address; I quite literally ended up at a graveyard when I was supposed to be at a government building. My biggest bone to pick with Altis, however, is that once they request your "permission to present" you as a prospective candidate to their clients, you won't hear anything further unless you are selected for a subsequent step (or offer); in all three cases I had to follow-up with Altis and go fishing for my own rejection, because they simply didn't bother to inform me. Some would argue that in the real world you never hear back from unsuccessful applications anyway, but I would think that with an employment agency that makes a point of contacting you with a prospective job to begin with, they could at least keep you informed...
I was shocked at the way they operate... then I dug deeper and found reviews from Altis' own employees. I'd post links, but Google Maps won't allow that, so you'll have to search for them yourselves.
With these reviews and my own experience, I'm now less surprised.
