We need a civil servant service that police s the teachers and is a voice for the students.
The union is an embarrassment that could care less about any student over a dollar.

Parking is a nightmare even though they have parking on site a visitor is not allowed to use it. No mention of this in the confirmation that was sent. Went in and asked the front desk where they would recommend I park and there answer, "Drive around and you may find a spot." I found a spot and it cost over $20.00 cash only which I was not reimbursed for. Not signing up for any more workshops at this location. Teachers' union dues went into building it but some of those who work there seemed to have forgotten this fact.
you Tree huggers are way too overpaid , And your president is an idiot Trying to get rid of the name Sir John A. Mcdonald .Where do you people, come off With your absolutely ridiculous ideas .Why don't you just get to teaching . That's what you're overpaid to do
The building is great. I love how eco friendly it is.
Quit complaining so tired of hearing your whiny ads. You all have a good thing going compared to most
Such a beautiful building, with LEED Platinum Certification, the highest environmental standard possible. A joy to visit or work in!
subscribe to my channel make sure the logo is mines like the one showing who I am and my reviews a one star because strikes are ruining kids education shame on you
Search Youtube for "CUPE Union members using bully union tactics" and you'll see then (and now) president Jada Nicklefork faking being hit by a car. Staff who are this disingenuous affects your organization's credibility. Clean your house.
I feel bad for the teachers in the sense that they are simply the puppets for the union to advance their own agenda. Teachers are an essential service that should be held in high regard but when the union states that our children will not be affected by the actions of the union I laugh. Our children are simply being used as pawns in this political game. missed days at school and now no report cards explain how just these two are not directly going to impact these kids. no report card comments or grades for those who have struggled causes concern on how to proceed with improvement. I think the union and government need to do what is truly right and put the kids first and get things done ...
This association is not needed in our children's futures. Educational boards should employ instructors without associations or unions. Our kids merit reliable calendars for instruction without these block attempts of strikes and Ford govt. is doing extraordinary to battle this ETFO. Ontario government ought to elevate contracts with instructors/ teachers without associations.
Lovely building - eco friendly - but in an inconvenient location.
The Ford Government has done an outstanding job dealing with this pandemic. I am really sick of your relentless taunting, it is unprofessional and unhelpful. You state that the Provincial Government "failed to plan" for the start of the school year. Laughable. What did the teachers do from April to Sept while the rest of us worked all summer and found ways to do our jobs remotely and other things?
Quit complaing about funding cuts on the radio. Everyone is suffering at this time!
Stop complaining the government isn't helping you. You're getting the tools and funding required to do what you want. Not their fault you have more time to complain rather than actually doing your jobs.
Quit crying and get to work.
UPDATE: Still hearing your radio ads. Very disappointed in elementary teachers who support these ongoing negative ads that are directed at a government who are doing everything they can to get through this. Instead of complaining, maybe use your time to try to come up with ways to help and support them..
I am tired of listening to your advertisements blaming the provincial government for a function that your school boards and you as an organization representing teachers are responsible for. Step up to the plate instead of kicking it around.
A marxist stronghold. Organization filled with "diverse" people who coincidentally all have identical thoughts, feelings, and political ideology.
So Diverse!
The "professional" glorified babysitters that make up this union do such a great job! Canadian students consistently win medals and trophies in academic contests! They are so good that the union always fervently opposes any sort of standardized testing, because standardized tests are racist, and harmful, and cause kids to suffer nervous breakdowns. Meanwhile chinese continue to dominate academic contests, and "canadians" who win anything internationally are often chinese immigrants who had their basic schooling in china.
So sick of listening to teachers complaining about everything. Babies just do your job the rest of us have to.
Alot of what they are doing is pretty much ruining and screwing over students. "We are fighting for students" is all full of lies. They take away our education which isn't much of an education in the first place because it's too easy, and they take away our trpis, extra-curriculars and more. They take away our graduation, our report cards which screws students in grade 7 and grade 11/12 who need them to get in to high schools and university/college. The union is pretty much useless in this day and age anyway.
Please I am begging the province, the teacher unions and those directly involved in the negotiations to please read the book "Getting to Yes" by Roger Fisher and William Ury. It was a national best seller, and for good reason. The negotiation approach and strategies are sound and proven to be effective. Clearly, provincial negotiators and union negotiators have not read this book. If some of them have read it, it is not clear to me if they are implementing its principles. I completely agree with all the points made by S. Webster. Please I beg the parties to focus on concessions and compromises, on both sides. The negative education, economic and mental health impacts of the disruptions on families have been and continue to be immeasurable. Students and parents need to step up and voice their concerns more loudly than ever before. Call or e-mail your provincial MPP and your local teachers union office. If parents and students don't take an organized stand now, silence is consent, as they say. It would be a great exercise to have a grade 4, 5 or 6 student clearly write an e-mail expressing their concerns. Parents being more concerned than the students. What child wouldn't like to have ANOTHER day off school to spend quality time on the TV or their electronic devices?
