Altis Hotels Review

We went to enjoy the SPA, pool and jacuzzi (90 min) and two massages (Deep Tissue and Aromatherapy) for 60 min.


The space, pool, jacuzzi (it could be a little bigger), the bathrooms / showers, towels, slippers, robes, etc., etc. are impeccable.

My only repair and displeasure, is that they charge for parking in garages, or at least, that it would be cheaper for SPA users.

I did a one day spa experience. Just a shame, the weekend weekend reception service is a little abandoned at certain times.

The service at the hotel is excellent. The style and decor is a but dated but still nice. The rooms are clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast that is included is absolutely amazing and wait staff and great too.

Everything was good except I broke my toe entering the hotel on a hidden curb right before the entrance. They should really fix.

Great customer service at all times. (Reception, room service, restaurant, etc)

We are having a very nice stay in this hotel, the staff is very professional and kind. The breakfast is rich and excellent. The hotel also offers excellent services. We still have 3 days to spend here to experiment the massages proposed

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Lisbon. Great rooms, nice on site restaurant and lounge/bar, convenient to downtown city center area only a short 20 min walk.

The Altis Grand Hotel is not worthy of a 5 star. We waited until 4pm before having our rooms, and these were not suitable for what we had requested. The pool and spa are mediocre, dubiously clean. It is also obligatory to wear a bathing cap, request superfluous and unpleasant.

There is a pool, just a pity it is crowded with children even after 18:00. A bathing cap is also required in the Jacuzzi and sauna.
Breakfast just fine.

The room had a lot of people but it is not acceptable the heat that felt inside ...
Two people felt bad and one passed out and had to be taken from the room in arms ...
Several had to leave during the event ...
It's a shame because lunch went well and the space is beautiful ...
The climate of the large rooms should be reviewed and be adjusted to the events taking place there.

Super nice 4 star hotel room with wellness area. Rooftop bar is also very nicely decorated. Barber and gifts shop is located in the hall.

Perfect hotel, clean, elegant, friendly staff. Not everyone speaks Italian.

For a 5 star hotel, fair quality bedding, bathroom not very functional. Poor sound insulation. Perfect welcome and services. Pool, perfect spa.
I recommend this establishment but can improve on the novelty.

Positive things: Very good location, spacious room (premier deluxe), great staff attention. Negative things: pool facilities, jacuzzi, etc. They are very good, but it is scarce for such a large hotel and more during high occupation times (less than 20 hammocks for 300 rooms). It does not allow to reserve parking space and when arriving it was all complete not being able to leave the car. Bad soundproofing of windows, you hear the same noise from the street are open or closed, also allows you to open them completely (for security in most hotels does not leave). In the breakfast buffet area, the same problem is caused by not closing tightly, creating annoying drafts if you have a table near the terrace access door.

The pool area was a disaster. The front desk blatantly lied and said there was no airport shuttle available; the shuttle driver and bellman indicated that only two other passengers were booked. The cafe waiter didn't wait on us. Our room was upgraded from a deluxe room to a superior one, but the room ended up being bare bones standard. Overall, not worth the 5 star rating of its hotel class.

Nice hotel, located very central with shops and restaurants around. Very clean, very friendly staff. The bar at the lobby level is really nice

This is actually quite a nice and relaxing hotel. But their idea of a balcony isn t exactly ideal (1m by 1m and it has all the noise of the air conditions) Apart from that it has a semi-decent breakfast, the rooms are kinda small but cozy and the bathrooms are alright. A 15 to 20 minute walk to the old city and many things to see. I do recommend taking a tuk tuk around the city as you can see all the attractions and stuff, in a Portuguese style. Back to the hotel, the pool is very nice but children must get out by 6pm... idk why but yeah. There is a nice jacuzzi that is very relaxing and quite a few deck chairs to relax on. Overall I would give this a 4 Star. (The pool is saving it from 3 star)

Regardless what other reviewers say....this is not a 5-star hotel. Yes, the staff were welcoming and professional but the rest of the hotel experience is a bit hit-and-miss. Rooms and corridors are dark and dingy. The rooms are not cleaned to 5-star standard - visit the Sheraton (Lisbon) to see how it should be done. The bathroom fittings are old and tired. The beds and pillows were completely sub-standard. The location is the only redeeming feature. For 180Euros per night, I expected a little bit more.

Opinion rather shared but rather positive for this hotel. The equipment is quite good: Nice indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, a nice roof top, a great breakfast, an upscale restaurant, parking in the basement at 13 Euros per day, a service in free room at reasonable prices. For the negatives: Deco a bit old, room and bathroom that need a little refurbishment, blackened tub seal, shower screen not waterproof, no plugs near the beds and sound insulation very average sdb side. location is good and quite quiet. The reception is good and some speak different languages. The value for money is good.

The official meal is held on the top floor, offering a breathtaking night view of Lisbon. The meal was ok.

Well located with a great atmosphere and great service.

The employees are passionate about their work. Guests feel very comfortable and welcoming. I do so. My husband too. Sad to leave here tomorrow.

If they renew bathrooms and beds, it would be perfect.

The welcome at the top, very beautiful hotel, very professional staff, the 2 restaurants were excellent especially the one on the 12 floor with a breathtaking view. I really want to thank you for the special attention given to my mother for her birthday (cake and cocktails left in your room on D-day) Thank you again.

Good Location. Welcoming staff at the front desk.
Unfortunately the rooms are pretty badly soundproofed. You hear almost every noise from the corridor. The Building itself and the furniture seems to be outdated.

The hotel is in a good location close to a metro and lots of eating options. The rooms are agood size but the bed in our room despite raising twice with the front disk was rubbish. It was lumpy and the springs were non existant. not the type of bed expected at a 4* hotel!
The spa was good with a small pool and a sauna etc. Breakfast was good witha varied buffet selection.
All in all an ok hotel, spoilt by the bed, it was rubbish

Good welcome ! Qualified staff ! Impeccable service! Excellent breakfast, varied and fresh! Only downside on the maintenance of the rooms! The room was not made before 17:30! And we were there! A little eccentric for our taste!

Nice and updated hotel with nice and good sized rooms. All the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Moreover the breakfast is fantastic.

Great location just a short walk down hill to main shopping boulevard and uphill to old quarter.
Very clean and staff were fantastic.No iron in room but they brought one up.There is s bar downstairs and the Batman was great not easy looking after Aussies and kiwis
There is a roof top bar but we were not allowed to use it due to a light breeze- rather disappointing.

Great service! Good location, with easy access to all the sights of the city. The Uber was the best option for locomotion, but you can also explore a lot on foot, if you have a choice.
The hotel offers an excellent breakfast, a good SPA, always has some enjoyment throughout the stay, such as tea, water or champagne available at the reception. Some rooms also receive unexpected pleasures such as a wine with an ironing board.

Nice hotel overall ... Proximity to the center and subway to reach all the different sites to visit..Desception of the restaurant of the hotel does not correspond to the standing of the establishment..Cuisine little refined without taste and tasteless. ..Menu at 34 ... Just grilled fish served with vegetables cooked in water..In dessert (Panacota) rubbery ..
... The report left to the maitre d ', which did not sketch any effect ..Bref to avoid ..

- When I arrived at the reception, I was told to wait five minutes for the camera was not ready. The 5 minutes turned into two hours.
I asked at the reception to have a room with two single beds being on a business trip, instead we got a room with a matrimonial bed ... quite embarrassing.
